I am a very new fan of Ava Richardson's so was very excited to read this, the second in the Dragon Defenders of Destia series. I thought that this was a fun read, with plenty of action. adventure, political intrigue and of course dragons. Winnie was a strong character, who while on occasion naive, was not so naive as to not be able to work through problems that were thrown in her way.

I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

The story picks-up right after the first one and we follow Winnie while she tries to get back to Destia. The journey will be filled with challenges, but at some point I found it kinda boring. Go somewhere, get in trouble, leave and rethink the plan. And again, and again.

The fact that we learned more about the world and the companions she found was really interesting. Especially the hidden place that nobody seemed to talk about.

However, the last part is filled with so much stuff happening and now I really want to know what's gonna happen next.

I tried to keep my review spoiler free, but be prepared, because it's gonna be a bit of an emotional roller coaster.

This book is hard to put down! I love Winnie so much, she is a strong powerful female and I love that! Being the second out in the series I was excited to explore and learn more about the characters like Winnie and Kygo. I have always been a huge fan of fantasy and especially dragons and magic!
