Thank you so much to NetGalley for the early arc of this book!
I thought it was great! Fast-paced in the beginning, but it took me a while to get into it. The middle chunk was much slower so it was harder to get through, and the twist toward the end was insane. I wasn't expecting it to go that way at all, and I was completely shocked. I'd absolutely recommend this one.

This had that element of romance that I was looking for and thought the overall story worked with this type of book. The characters had that feel that I was looking for and thought it worked well together. Jeanne Olivier writes a strong book that worked with the genre perfectly.

The Girl in My Dreams by Jeanne Olivier
Rating: 3.5/5

When rising rock star Oliver crosses paths with the captivating yet untamed Nina at a nightclub, sparks fly instantly. However, tragedy strikes when a car accident leaves Oliver with a shattered spine and Nina in a coma.

As Oliver undergoes recovery in the hospital, he finds solace in the dreams of Nina. Yet, as his injuries gradually heal, Nina's condition deteriorates. Convinced of a peculiar link between their fates, Oliver resorts to self-inflicted harm during physiotherapy, and miraculously, Nina awakens.

Though disheartened by the prospect of a life confined to a wheelchair, Oliver finds solace in Nina's presence as their connection blossoms into an all-consuming romance. However, their joy is marred by the discovery that they've been sharing the same dreams.

As Nina becomes increasingly unhinged and driven by a desire to delve deeper into the realm of lucid dreaming, Oliver struggles to shield her from the truth surrounding the accident. He fears revealing that Nina may have been intoxicated behind the wheel that fateful night, a revelation that could spiral her further into self-destruction.

I enjoyed this book! It struck the ideal harmony between suspense, romance, with a plot twist that took me by surprise!

I look forward to reading more from this author.

I devoured this book in one sitting. The perfect mix of suspense, romance. And twists. I can say I definitely didn't see the twist coming. Can completely see this being made into a mini series or a movie. Now to see what else I can read by this author. Thank you Netgalley and Jeanne Oliver for this ARC!

This wasn't a poorly written story I just felt like I was coasting along, I never really got hooked in and the plot twist at the end was different. Maybe romance thriller just isn't my thing. The connections between all the parents was a lot to try and connect the dots but all in all it wasn't a difficult read.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for and honest review.
