Solid YA fiction. Builds a realistic arc that feels a bit cliche but works within its genre. It manages the alcoholism and realistic arcs well, but everything feels very formulaic and forced at times.

This was an emotional story that deals with Coo and her guilt over her brother's death. The ending felt sad and unsatisfying at the same time. I felt there could have been a happier ending with Coo, who is sad throughout the whole book. Then again, not all stories have in a happy ending.

A well-written and enjoyable book, I am glad I requested this title and will be more than happy to pass the title along to my fellow library purchasers.
