I really do not understand the concept of making this book. Mostly, it is irrelevant with its subject line.

Jesus is shown black, really?? Moreover, for the toddlers who have been focused while writing this picture board book, are not young enough to get this. This has to be read to them but for the pictures, all seems to go backfired. There were only animals and no humans. He seems to go dancing while being crucified, seriously?
What kind of depiction is this that the man who have been made famous as a god to save the world and set all free, real god knew who and from whom?, was himself got beaten & eventually crucified. Is this what author tried to teach god? In next page where Jesus was shown opening his arms to let all come close was also having his same palms as same as from the previous page where he was illustrated to be hanged with nails in the middle.

This is more like a cartoon rather than really bring someone closer to Jesus. Better, if this had been in the form of gospel in simplified words despite of Jesus's representation as some prop to animals to praise. Black, if Jesus is not the one, then shouldn't be presented as one to appease blacks. This is more like making them to convert themselves to Christianity. This is more like to present to Blacks so that they accept Christianity and count Jesus one of them and not Jew for real.

In spite of creating so much politico-religious camouflages, author must have focused on giving toddlers what make their future safe and make this board book more realistic with facts and not lies with comedy. Even if this has to be a preaching then must be in a way to let them go closer to Jesus and not create ambiguity for whether this has to be followed or not.
