I haven’t read many by this author but this is a great book. Gripped from the start with plenty of twists and turns, this book is quite intense but very good. A solid psychological thriller. I will definitely look to read more by this author.

There is something about Miranda Rijks writing that excites me. I love the fast paced novels that are nearly always page turners.

When Eva’s husband Samuel disappears her world is shattered. Samuel was out with friends and when he didn’t arrive home her first thoughts were that he was sleeping off an hangover at a friend’s place. But her thinking changes when she receives a text message saying that he had met someone else and needed time to think.

Eva’s emotions are all over the place wondering what was happening to what appeared to be a perfect marriage to her devoted husband. As she starts to mull the situation over she receives a photo of Samuel with a knife to his neck and a message demanding to complete a sinister bucket list or face the consequence of his death. All of a sudden the story is ratcheted up to a brand new level as Eva deals with the demands in an effort to save Samuel.

The bucket list demands from the kidnapper become increasingly outlandish and dangerous pushing Eva to her absolute limit. While Eva is doing everything possible to ensure no harm comes to Samuel she is aware of the imminent effect it will have on her children, friends and job. Her friends and family are already starting to question her sanity and behaviour as she is pushed to carryout the bizarre demands.

The novel is fast paced which is the norm for Miranda Rijks and there are the usual twists and turns to keep you guessing. “Every Breath You Take” is an exciting read, maybe stretches the realms of reality but makes it entertaining.

Miranda Rijks is one of my favorite authors and all of her books are great and this book is no exception! This is a fast paced thriller that I had trouble putting down. This is an awesome read and highly recommended!

This was such a thrilling read with increased suspense, pace and tension all the way through, I was gripped right away.

When Eva’s husband fails to come home from drinks with his friends she is instantly worried, a couple of days later receiving a text to tell her he is in love with someone else. A distraught Eva tries to hold things together for their children Riley and Alfie but she receives a picture message with a knife to Samuel’s neck and ordered to keep him alive by completing tasks on a bucket list without telling the police or friends.

This is a twisty book with plenty of surprises, and all that kept going through my mind was “oh my god, imagine?” The thought of being in Eva’s situation is shocking and scary. Forget what you think about this book because trust me when the ending lands the unexpected is exactly what happens. Bravo!

I was honestly shocked at the twists and turns in this thriller! Was not expecting them at all!

When Eva’s husband doesn’t come home after a “quick” drink after work, the action escalates into a full-blown kidnapping. Eva receives Snapchat messages from the kidnapper, giving her instructions one-by-one to complete for the do-called. U key list.each task is more bizarre than the previous one, and she has no evidence, since the Snapchat messages disappear after she reads them.

There are multiple family dynamics at play here, and the reveal of the kidnapper was absolutely unexpected.

I’m rating this one at 4 stars. This was my first exposure to the author, and I’ll definitely look for more of her work.

Has her husband really left her? Or is someone playing a deadly game?

This book caught me completely off guard. It was a captivating, engaging, and skillful blend of manipulation and deceit. It also has a fresh and creative plot.

Told in two POV from the 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 and the 𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲, it moves quickly, ramping up the suspense, and then Miranda throws a curveball that knocks you off your seat.

I've read almost all of Miranda's books with a rollercoaster of hits and misses but 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 is one of my favorites with a finale that took me by surprise and had my jaw on the floor. Well played, Miranda!

If I had to criticize something, it would be the big curveball was revealed too soon, and the ending felt like it could have used another chapter so that it didn't feel so rushed.

This doesn't take away anything from this fantastic psychological thriller, thst I'm sure true fans will enjoy.
Definitely recommend!

This book follows Eva, whose husband mysteriously disappears, plunging her into a nightmarish search for answers. As Eva uncovers unsettling secrets, she realizes her life is in danger.

While the plot is okay and filled with a little bit of suspense, some twists are very predictable and the character depth could be stronger. Despite these minor flaws, it's an engaging and fast pace domestic thriller that you might enjoy. I enjoyed the POV of the mysterious lover/kidnapper until the big reveal. I kind of wish there was no reveal until the very end.

There was so much potential but about 30% in I was starting to get bored . Granted there were a couple of unexpected twists but really the ending made absolutely no sense to me 🤷🏼‍♀️

2 ⭐️⭐️. Yes I know I’m in the minority with this one as far as my low star rating. I should probably give it 1 star but I’m being generous since the first half wasn’t too bad. In all honestly - I hated the characters, I hated the bucket list (SO DUMB) and I hated the ending!!! The whole thing was stupid. I hate to be so harsh but I’m mad at myself for finishing this one. I will give the author one positive comment - although I hated the ending, she did throw in one final shocker that I didn’t see coming, (even though that was dumb and unrealistic too). 🙄

I’m not normally so mean with my reviews but this one just really annoyed me and wasted my valuable reading time. Sadly, I don’t recommend it.

Wow!! I couldn't put this book down! I was completely surprised by the twists and turns in this book and loved every minute of it. I will definitely look for more books by this author.

When Eva’s husband goes missing, she thinks he’s left her for another woman. As she tried to process the abrupt ending of her marriage, she received a text with a knife to his neck! Who has Samuel and what do they want?

This book will really keep you on your toes! The craziness that Eva goes through to try and get her husband back is alarming!! Big twist at the end!!

Eva and Samuel have a great marriage or so Eva thinks, and they have two children together. So, when Samuel doesn’t come home after a night out. She starts to get worried. And then she gets a text from him that he has left her for someone else. She is upset. She didn’t think her marriage was in turmoil. When she gets another text on Snapchat with a photo of Samuel with a knife at his neck. She goes to the Police. But as messages disappear on Snapchat, when she reports it to the Police they don’t believe her. Her friends think she is going mad when with that photo there was a Bucket list with a list of demands for her to do or they will Kill Samuel. What is she supposed to do? She starts doing the actions on the list which starts alienating herself from her friends and her family. As they think she has had a sort of breakdown.
I have heard good things about this author. Every breath you take by Miranda Rijks is the first book from the author I have read, and I found this to be an interesting read.
This is told in several POV’s Eva’s and the lovers POV. I found this to have a unique storyline full of twists and turns. I did enjoy the premise of this story but at times I felt that it was a little farfetched. But saying that it didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the story as I carried on reading. 4 stars from me.

I love Miranda Rijks books and this book certainly didn't disappoint.

I found Eva a bit naive. If someone would ask me to download some social media app and want to make me do all kind of crazy things, I’d probably just ignore and go on with my life. But this is a work of fiction…😂

Fluency/Writing:
Miranda Rijks is an auto read author for me. She writes, I read it, as simple as that. It took me a few chapters to get into the story; but pretty soon I was engrossed. I could not soo reading. See, I am quite lenient in books, not everything has to be realistic or relatable. Some things were a bit far fetched, but I actually loved it. I found it refreshing and creative. The surprise twist? Superb!
The pacing could have been done differently, the big twist came too soon, but I was still blown away.
All in all, this was a fabulous read, breakneck speed, a true rollercoaster!

I love these books because in reality, if I got a message telling me to download snapchat I would ignore that so hard I would forget it ever happened. And if someone told me to cut off my hair to save my (maybe) cheating husband I would ignore that too.
But our girl, she loves her husband and is willing to ruin her reputation to save him. What bothers me is that she doesn't immediately go to her friends. The way I would tell everyone about this "bucket" list.
OMG half way through you get this HUGE surprise twist and it is not at all what I was expecting. This author does this to me everytime! When am I going to learn to expect it!?
Seriously read this one. It is so good!
AND OMG the ending!

This is a fantastic book! The suspense, thrills and excitement start from the beginning and go all the way to the end of the story! The twists kept me on my toes and trying to guess what would happen next. I definitely did not figure out how everything would play out with the story in the end. I didn’t want to put the book down! Such a fun read!
The author did an excellent job with the writing of the story.
