A heavy little book with some wonderfully uncomfortable poems that sit with you, or a version of you, that needed to know you're not alone in feeling that way.
I adored the photos and visuals, even if the style of poetry doesn't personally resonate with me. I'm glad I read this!
"You will not always be the ghost haunting your own life. I believe in you."

I will read anything that Trista writes. I adore her poetry.
And this was no exception. It was amazing, and so raw, and so real. It was also incredibly relatable. I loved the art that was shown throughout as well. I one hundred percent recommend this poetry book, especially if the description resonates with you.

I have read Trista Mateer's previous works and enjoyed them a lot. Small Ghost is a poetry collection about mental health, feeling sad, and loneliness. They were very relatable. I also enjoyed how the artworks complemented and reflected the themes in the poems. Thanks to Central Avenue Publishing and Netgalley for providing me with an early copy.

I always love Trista Mateer’s poetry and this was no exception. This was a short but emotional collection, which I feel anyone who has ever suffered from depression can connect to. Despite it being centered on the struggles of depression, the hope of getting better at the end of the tunnel makes it even more powerful. Self love is not easy and Mateer’s poetry shows that perfectly.
