This was incredibly helpful as a newcomer to both NetGalley, reviewing and Bookstagram! Thank you!
Lots of invaluable information and I love that you’re supporting and encouraging the community this way!

Thank you for the end of year download. It had practical tips for optimizing my profile so that I could continue to receive my most anticipated reads. I appreciate the gift and will put it to good use.

NetGalley's Book Advocate Toolkit by We Are Bookish is a must-read for every NetGalley Reader. It contains helpful information in a clean and easy-to-follow layout. The pacing of the book is perfect for a newbie reader like me. I never felt overwhelmed and even learned a few things! It also has links throughout, so there's no need to search for the resources and forget what you were searching for (yay, for neurodivergent friendly!)

Wow, I wish I would have found this book in the very beginning of my start on this platform. I found it very informative, straight to the point, and helpful. I'll be instituting some changes to my approach immediately.

New to NetGalley? Start here! NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit is the perfect introduction to starting your book reviewing journey. Whether you’re aiming to be the next big thing on BookTok, or have a strong reviewer profile on Amazon, or indeed just love sharing on your blog, there is guidance on how to approach the review platform, make requests, boost your chances of your requests being accepted, and generally enjoy the process.
This is a well-balanced guide that also reminds readers of the commitment they make when receiving an ARC, which is to be mindful of the audience you’re reviewing for here, which is publishers and authors, not the general public, and how to give thoughtful feedback even - or especially - when you either didn’t like the book or didn’t finish it for some reason. Readers aren’t being provided with ARCs for fun: there is an issue expectation that readers will provide feedback that helps with the future marketing of the book, so even negative reviews help define a book’s potential audience ahead of launch.
Some very helpful links in the guide as well - definitely worth checking out the other resources available to step up your game. I suspect this is a guide I’ll be coming back to from time to time just to refresh and evaluate how I’m doing and ensure that I maintain the quality of my reviews.

Being new to NetGalley, I was kind of winging it. This toolkit is incredibly useful for understanding what's expected of me as a reviewer and how to successfully engage with the platform. Thank you to We Are Bookish for creating this guide!

This toolkit is super helpful to get started here. I am now reading and enjoying my first ARC. Thank you so much, NetGalley.

This was super helpful to me as a (fairly) new netgalley reviewer. Thanks so much to We Are Bookish for putting all these great tips and tricks in one pdf!

This is a great guide to help one get started with NetGalley. It gave good examples of how to proceed through every step of one’s NetGalley journey. I especially liked to review tips. This publication will definitely be a well used one for me!

This was helpful in learning more about to find titles on net galley and be approved for more! I would recommend it to anyone just starting out, especially if you are having a hard time being approved!

Very helpful quite to netgalley, but I wish I could read it right after I registered on the platform, as navigation for new users wasn't very intuitive at the time.

This, as well as the social media toolkit, has been super helpful in getting started on NetGalley. Definitely something to check for updates and refer back to every now and then.

Thank you to We Are Bookish for this Toolkit! I found it very informative and helpful for how to formulate an in-depth review- I’m looking forward to being able to apply this to any copies for review that I may receive in future.

This guide provided by NetGalley was very helpful. As a new bookstagrammer the world of posting reviews and recommendations is still a little newer to me, so this “straight to the point” guide on how to correctly setup your profile and how to navigate the site was extremely helpful.

Thank you NetGalley for sharing this guide for book advocates! This is a very helpful manual for getting started as a reviewer on NetGalley. I appreciate the graphics and helpful screenshots of how to navigate NetGalley.

This toolkit was so helpful for understanding the different facets to NetGalley. It is clear and easy to understand, and I loved all the graphics. I will be referring to it often as I start my ARC reader journey.

A helpful, all-in-one place, toolkit to navigate your way on NetGalley! If you have been playing around and navigating the website's FAQ for some time, you likely won't find anything new (and chances are if you have found this resource, you kind of have?). But it's a useful one to keep handy and have all the important information in one document. I think it'd be really helpful to be able to access this, or at least some parts of it, before users sign up to NetGalley, because I certainly wasn't sure what I was doing or if I was their right audience when signing up!

The Book Advocate Toolkit was very helpful in showcasing what to highlight in my book reviews. I learned a lot about what publishers are looking for when receiving reviews for ARCs. I have been able to keep in mind that positive and negative feedback are both beneficial.

This toolkit was super helpful for anyone familiar, or not familiar with NetGalleys workings/ standards. Was able to gain solid information to engage more effectively with publishers.

Excellent summary of everything I needed to know for Netgalley. Concise and well-organized! I appreciated both the Profile details and the Review example, helping me to improve my profile and contributions.
