This book is incredibly helpful. As a new reviewer, there are so many things I don't know and this book is an excellent guide, helping me understand where I am now and where I want to be. I especially appreciate learning how to interact with publishers and requests. This is not only a guide to help those just starting out, but also one to serve as a reference for those more experienced. I plan to revisit it often as it will no doubt improve my reviews, my requests and my relationships with readers, authors and publishers.

I strongly recommend this helpful toolkit for anyone interested in Netgalley and perhaps feels intimated by the process.

This guide goes through, (a) a brief introduction to NetGalley and how to utilize it, (b) how to write book reviews, and (c) NetGalley tips, tricks and tools. I found this guide to NetGalley extremely useful, especially since I’m new. Avoiding request sprees is a great tip, as I had almost gone on one (🙈) and am glad to now understand that it affects your Feedback Ratio which is critical to publishers deciding whether or not to approve you for the arc. The tips on how to write a professional bio was also really helpful. I love that it had links which allowed me to return back to the content page for easier reference. I, for some reason, thought that this guide was going to be a boring old book with just plain words, but no! Imagine my pleasant surprise when I found that it was colourful with engaging text! XD This guide is simple to follow through and gives practical tips on how to go about embarking on your NetGalley journey! Everyone should give this a quick read through. 5⭐️’s for this lovely guide! 🥰

This toolkit has been an invaluable resource for me so far as a NetGalley beginner and I will be coming back to it for helpful tips and advice as I develop my skills as a reviewer/book advocate. The information is presented in a well organised and eye catching format, making it easy to find what you're looking for and manageable to put into practice!

This was crucial to me for developing a structure for future reviews. It was also helpful that it shows different aspects of a review, which have to be considered, e.g. the different audiences on differing platforms.

This was super helpful because sometimes when working with authors or posting about books, I"m not sure which way will help people see how good the books are. I also really love thinking of myself as a book advocate, it makes me feel like I'm fighting for more than just my own enjoyment.
