My Sister’s Boyfriend is a pretty gripping psychological thriller by Nicola Marsh. The story is told from multiple perspectives of several characters.

This story had so many secrets and connections between characters, it was crazy!! I did have one aspect of the story figured out about 1/3 of the way into the book, but that did not detract from the overall suspense and intrigue of the plot.

If you like lots of twists and turns and a story that keeps you on your toes, read My Sister's Boyfriend. It was quite intense, and there were so many secrets to discover. A solid psychological thriller.

This was a new to me author. I really enjoyed this one. Very gripping and I had a hard time putting it down. I’ll definitely be looking for more from this author in the future.

Gripping in places and a bit dragged out in more, It became obvious as to how the story was going to end about halfway through but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the book. I got this as an arc to read and the opinions expressed are entirely my own views and not biased.

This book was a gripping physcological thriller that kept you guessing till the end when the pieces fit. It was a riveting read that jumped right in and had you hooked till the end. It was an easy read and kept your attention throughout the entirety of the book. This book had me in all the feels screaming at fictitious characters. I would recommend this read to those who are just venturing into the thriller books of this theme or who have already determined this love of psychological thrillers.

Goodreads review:

I received an advance copy from Netgalley - thank you!

This was an interesting story.. it’s told from the point of view of Lizzie, Brooke and Noel. Noel has just been released from prison & has intertwined himself with Lizzie and Brooke. I’m still a little confused about the family dynamic in the story, but I guess it’s not relevant. Overall, decent book!

2.5⭐
This book started out great but it falls short of a good plot. The twists in this book can be easily identified before the book even reaches 50%
Though I found few plot holes with Brooke's family. It's mentioned that Hope is daughter of her and Riker but it's clearly written that she was in relationship with guy names Eli and was in sort of depression when he dies. And she s pregnant after few weeks. Did she cheat with her boyfriend with Riker? No clear explanation into it.
Also the family plot is so twisted and confusing, guess so many twists were not needed.
Guess Noel's character good have been better written. Also I cannot understand how a psychopath can lead a normal life for 4 years without creating any trouble when Ned had been troublemaker from small.
Lastly, I would like to thank NetGalley and publisher for giving me this ARC in return for an honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange of an honest review.

For me personally, there were too many characters, which made the whole story a bit confusing and difficult to follow.

Unfortunately, I saw the twist coming from the beginning - maybe that's what happens when you've read enough thrillers, but for me, the whole thing wasn't implemented well enough. That's not a bad thing, but for me, the suspense was gone. And because, as explained above, there were too many characters/side stories for me.

It wasn't my kind of thriller.

I enjoyed this intriguing psychological thriller, Lizzie´s works with newly released prisoners and firmly believes in giving everyone a second chance. But something about Noel makes her skin prick, although no one else has a bad word to say about him. Lizzie takes notice of her instincts though and is sure that something isn´t right about Noel. Then she discovers that her sister Brooke is dating him. and is determined to get to the truth. A fast paced story about family secrets and betrayals.

This was a really well written suspenseful thriller. I really liked that this was told in multiple POVs and the author really kept my attention. At times it was predictable but I was definitely shocked and not at all suspecting what was going to happen multiple times. I have never read anything else from this author but I am going to check out their other books now.

This was my first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. It kept my attention and I didn't predict that twist! It was very well done.

A really good read. Some of the twists were easily guessed, but there were more than a few bombshells I wasn’t expecting! Definitely can’t wait to read more from Nicola Marsh!

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture
‘My Sisters Boyfriend’ is a suspenseful, psychological thriller that will have you wondering who you can trust. A family of murder, lies and deceit.

There are a lot of different characters to follow with names that start with the same letter so it got very confusing trying to keep up. And it kind of got predictable. It was a very fast read though trying to figure out how the author was going to unfold the story. Was not expecting the epilogue!

My Sister's Boyfriend is a fast paced thriller that was so well written with well developed characters. The suspense and family drama kept me on the edge of my seat and turning pages into the night.
I liked how this story was told in different POVs. This book totally sucked me in and it's highly recommended.

Noel has not long got out of prison. According to him, he accidentally ran over his twin brother. He is introduced to Brooke who has secrets of her own. Her sister, who recently died, had a child who Brooke is now looking after. The child is hers, one she thought had died at birth. She is introduced to Noel via a mutual friend and there are sparks between them of the good kind. Lizzie, Brooke’s other sister, smells a rat with Noel and looks into his past. They all have secrets that impact lives. Who is telling the truth and who can get away with murder?

OMG! A book that very quickly put me on the edge of my seat with that unsettled feeling of “what's going to happen”. There are two characters who have very good reasons not to trust people until they are sure and this gives a real edgy feeling to the story. It's a captivating, at times complex (but easy to follow as each chapter has a character heading) story and characters I wasn't sure whether to trust or not. “ The truth will always out” or will it? A book I wanted to race through which I really enjoyed.

Thrilling as a thriller should be but I lack some character development. There is also a lot of things that wouldn’t happen in reality. Fun read, though.

Often in life, family relationships can be complicated and when your sister commences a relationship with an ex-con this may well be the case and you may be concerned.

Brooke and Lizzie had fallen out in recent years but they both are trying to build bridges back to how things used to be. Family secrets have caused issues between the two and when we find out why it is not hard to understand how this happened. Brooke becomes besotted with the new man Noel, telling Lizzie her sister she has found the man of her dreams and has never been loved like this before, but there are major alarm bells going off in Lizzie’s head after she meets Noel, and she is also concerned for her niece Freya being exposed to this guy. She just has a bad vibe from him.

Betrayal, revenge, secrets and trust are strong themes in the book and usually do make for entertaining reading. There is quite a twisty plot that keeps the reader engaged and you will find yourself in for a few shocks along the way. Noel also has a twin brother Ned, and this part of the story was quite cleverly done by the author although this is the part that I did work out myself.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for an advanced copy, all opinions are my own. 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars.

I needed a thriller that would suck me in, had some twists and turns. This absolutely delivered. It was short, it was sweet but just enough to get me out of a book slump of the ages.
I appreciate the family involved, betrayals in this story it sets the tone as twisted. While the main twist I saw coming a mile away it still was a great read and I kept gasping at every little secret or twist that came. They just kept coming. The details were mild, and not over the top. This books is great for beginner thriller lovers, that do not want a lot of blood, gore, spooky feelings. Alice hit close to home for me, not only does she share the name of my grandmother but I feel like my grandmother and her would of been best friends.

This book had me by a choke hold from the beginning to the end. The premise and the characters were so well written I was fighting to keep my eyes open some nights to keep reading. Some of the twists I did see coming and others came out of left field! And the twists don’t stop, even until the prologue. This book reminded me a lot of Phantom Limb by Lucinda Berry which I also enjoyed. In the end I give it a 4 star and I do recommend!

Overall I enjoyed this fast paced thriller and it definitely held my interest. At times, the characters were a little hard to keep track of and who had deceived who. As with most thrillers, the plot is pretty far fetched and unbelievable, but it still totally kept me entertained and I couldn’t put it down!

Thank you to netgalley for the arc in exchange of an honest review.
