This is a cute story which gives an example of what stress is for a preteen. The goal is a practical lesson in stress management/self-care and concluding with affirmations of love and self-worth.
The illustrations by Bemmygail Abanilla are clear, colorful, and meaningful.
I requested and received a free temporary EARC from BooksGoSocial via NetGalley.
A fun book with colorful illustrations and helpful quotes that teach kids how to manage stress through deep breathing. Book 3 in a terrific series for children 7-12.
Thoughts:
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This is a great book to teach children a new relaxation technique that they can use, or as Molly calls it put in their relaxing toolbox. Molly and Omari teaching their school friends how to do deep breathing had a real and cute feel. I liked the quotes sprinkled throughout, giving it a fun element that many children’s books don’t have and the last one was a really cute way to end their story. I also loved the presence of Chapter 10 for new readers.

"No one even knew what she was doing. Something about that felt very powerful. She was taking care of herself"
A great resource for children to learn coping skills while still being a fun story. The illustrations were lovely and the story was easy to follow and entertaining. This would be a great addition to home and school libraries
A great book that gives multiple examples of how to use deep breathing exercises for emotional regulation within one storyline.
This Is a great book for children and preteens to learn to apply breathing strategies when experiencing real life stressful situations.
This is a really fantastic children's book, which my daughter and I loved. It is the third book in the series, and we have loved all of them so far. The book is aimed at children aged 7-12, although younger or older children would enjoy it too. In fact, everyone should read all of the books in this series, as they are so useful and interesting.
In this story, Molly and Omari go on vacation together with their families, and encounter a bit of stress. They are taught how to do deep breathing, which helps them to relieve this stress.
I loved the beautiful and colourful illustrations in the book, and the easy to read text, as well as the characters, the settings and the story. It was all just perfect, and I can't wait for the next book in this series!
Many thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for a copy of this book.

A self-help book for children…I loved it! All of the quotes from Molly and Omari throughout were an excellent touch. The story was well done and the main characters were easy to relate to and learn from their situations. The very last quote from Molly and Omari is something everyone needs to hear from time to time…children and adults alike! “You are loved. You are cherished. You are strong. The world is a much better place because you are here!” Loved it!
