This was a cute and easy read. I really liked the character development between the two main characters, plus the mystery element made it a bit more fun.

Lost Love on 6th Street by Lolu Sinclair is a delightful blend of mystery, romance, and Austin’s iconic music scene. Archivist Eleanor Hayes stumbles upon a photo that sparks a quest to uncover the story of a mysterious musician from the past. Along the way, she teams up with Luke Wyatt, a charming music promoter, and their chemistry quickly intensifies as they uncover secrets while navigating the city’s vibrant nightlife. With a quirky cast of characters, a fast-paced plot, and plenty of heart, this book is a fun, flirty adventure that shows sometimes the best discoveries are the ones you least expect.

I was really thrilled to get my hands on this ARC because the premise had me genuinely intrigued!

I gave it multiple tries, but unfortunately, I ended up having to DNF it. At first, I thought maybe I just wasn’t in the right headspace, so I decided to set it aside and come back later. However, despite my efforts, I just couldn’t fully immerse myself in the story. From what I read, it felt like it dragged on a bit, and the writing style didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Because of that, I struggled to connect with the story and the characters, and I found it tough to keep going. It’s a little disappointing, because I initially thought it was just me, but I faced the same challenge every time I picked it up.

To be honest, I didn't quite click with Luke; he gave me some red flag vibes that didn't sit right with me.

That said, I truly appreciate the opportunity to read this ARC!

Great little road which a sped through. It had all the right cozy feels to it. It was also packed with light adventure which was an added bonus for it.
The character had great chemistry, fun and banter. And I had many points to sit and smile for their little moments of adorability.
I was a little frustrated at some of their communication mishaps but nothing to downgrade it's loveliness.

I’ve been really really curious about it, and what a ride it was ! The book is romantic, cosy and a little mysterious and i loved it!! It gave all the feel of the ‘90s Austin’s music panorama and the chemistry between the characters was so real!

This adorable love story makes you feel all the feels. it is cozy, includes a dog (I bet that would get people to read it), and is about music, which is one of my passions too. i really like their characters, and their little scavengehunt. I think overall that Luke is a perfect gentleman. HOWEVER, that is also one of my main critiques, he turns out not to be perfect, and id just like to say that a bit of lying is involved, which i guess is kind of the plot line, but made me want him as my book boyfriend much less, especially considering the fact that there was no good reason for lying. but i mean who am i to decide on the quality of you guys's book boyfriends, he was perfect in any other sense. i definitely recommend this cute little story, especially if you like cowboys and country music.

Thank you to netgalley and the authors for sending me the book in exchange for an honest review!

Eleanor Hayes’ deep dive into Austin’s vibrant music scene makes for a charming and unconventional love story in this delightful blend of mystery and romance. Eleanor’s determination to uncover the story behind a mysterious 1993 photo leads her into an adventure filled with live music, quirky clubs, and a sizzling partnership with music promoter Luke Wyatt. Their chemistry crackles as they chase clues, balancing heartfelt moments with laugh-out-loud awkward encounters. The vivid depiction of Austin’s nightlife, paired with the dynamic banter between Eleanor and Luke, keeps the pages turning. While the mystery occasionally takes a backseat to the romance, the story’s charm and the duo’s growing connection more than make up for it. A heartwarming read that celebrates music, love, and the unexpected joys of discovery.

Omg, Luke might have just become my new favourite book boyfriend. I absolutely adored him, and Eleanor was so loveable too!

I loved reading their romance and seeing them develop as characters throughout. I also liked that it was dual POV as it made me really connect with both of them.

My one issue was the miscommunication throughout, it felt quite easily resolvable and it was a little frustrating seeing it unravel.

I can’t wait to read more from Lolu Sinclair!

Thank you so much to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the arc. 🫶🏻

This had all the elements of a GREAT novel, what with the music, and food trucks, and amazing city setting, but fell flat. I was very interested Eleanor's job of archivist. The "miscommunication" that was the heart of the climax of the novel was so minor and became so overblown it really ruined it for me.

This book is like a mixtape of all your favorite things—swoony romance, quirky banter, and a love letter to Austin’s music scene. Eleanor is delightfully awkward in a way that’s so relatable, and watching her step out of her comfort zone is as heartwarming as it is hilarious. Luke? Total book boyfriend material—charming, supportive, and just the right amount of trouble. The chemistry between them is chef’s kiss perfection, and the scavenger hunt through 6th Street’s iconic haunts gives the story so much heart. If you’ve ever fallen for a city, a song, or a boy with a mischievous grin, Lost Love on 6th Street will hit you right in the feels.

A wonderful he Chases her young love, romance novel. Where does he fall in love? Downtown Austin, which —just like in really life—is a character in this story. There are two towns for music and Austin is one of them. Tropes of he falls first, common interest, finding yourself, friends to lovers, new adult, all with a supportive cast of downtown’s creative minds. Oh, youth.

"Lost Love on 6th Street" is an open-door romance between a book-wormish photo archivist and a successful band promoter, set in Austin.

When Eleanor Hayes comes across a photocopy of an image in the Reeder Music Archives, she is unexpectedly drawn into identifying who the woman posing outside a local nightclub is. That pull leads Eleanor to meet the charming Luke Wyatt, who has been around the Austin music scene all of his life.

As they begin to follow clues that eventually lead to the identity of the woman, they fall in love. But their story isn't without its problems. The question is, can they survive the secrets they reveal?

Overall, I enjoyed the story and would recommend it.

Thank you to Lolu Sinclair, Lost Lust and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

As an Austinite I was excited to read a book based in this cool city but the love story fell short for me. I didn’t like how pushy the main male character was and kind of gave me the wrong vibe.

It was too much fast for me, it was fluffy and sweet but the pace was too quick from what I actually like, I felt like it was fun too rainbows and unicorns and well, I did feel like it could be better

thank you so much NetGallery for allowing me to read and review this book in advance.

this book was a cute read, but I loved the premise more than I liked the actual book. the story dragged a little bit unfortunately, and I found it a little hard to get into it. the writing had potential however, and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

A upbeat story about Eleanor and Luke - Eleanor becomes fixated about a photo whilst working as an archivist in Texas, enter Luke who is charismatic and knows everything there is about the Texan music scene. There is great tension between the two leads and the will they, won't they is something that leaves you guessing until the very end. Thanks to Net Galley for the advanced copy.
