Not Your Biggest Fan is book 1 in the brand new Not Yours series by Sarah Ney.
Harlow is in New York City to pitch her new dating app Kissmet. She took some time to go to Central Park to experience New York City. When she sees the food truck she decides to get a snack.
While standing in line she overhears the person in front of her order the chicken. She warns him about food truck chicken. What she does not tell him is that she knows what will happen based on experience from her previous trip
He does not believe her, and thinks she is crazy, so he makes a deal with her. Figuring he will not see her again, he has nothing to lose, right?
Andy eats and enjoys his chicken until he does not. He cannot believe the girl at the food truck knew what she was talking about. He is miserable trying to get back to the hotel so he can be sick in private.
Just his luck, as he is waiting for the elevator to go to his room the girl from the food truck walks off of it. He is stunned to see her, to say the least. I mean what are the chances she is staying at the same hotel as he is and she is getting off the elevator he desperately needs to get on.
Harlow has spunk and Andy really likes that about her. The fact she does not recognize him is a little disconcerting but also makes their time together more meaningful.
After spending the next day together to honor his debt, things progress. But this is just a one night stand. I mean he lives in Seattle and she lives in Green Bay. She has too much to do on her app so it can go live on schedule that she cannot worry about a relationship, let alone a long distance one.
I had to chuckle at some of the conversations Andy had with his best friend Dex. I am so hoping that Dex gets a book and deals with some of the things he is ribbing Andy about. But he is right about one thing; Andy needs to tell her who he really is before someone else does.
Hqrlow’s dad, Big Steve, is a hoot. He is such a fangirl. But I am not sure I could put up with his constant “fixing” of things in my house that are not broken.
Finally, there are Andy’s parents. They are so down to earth and raised him to be humble and thankful. I loved the conversation he had with his mom at the grocery store. She had absolutely no problem putting her cart aside and going out to her car so they could have some privacy for it. And his dad’s man cave. The retro feel with all of Andy’s awards and achievements on display.

I picked up Not Your Biggest Fan by Sara Ney looking for a light and funny read, and it definitely delivered! It's a sweet and swoony story about an entrepreneur and a cocky football star who clash in the most entertaining ways. The whole "girl meets boy" trope is turned on its head with a hilariously awkward first encounter.
What really made this book shine for me was the banter. The back-and-forth between the characters was witty and engaging, and I found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion. It's just a genuinely cute and funny story, perfect for when you need a pick-me-up.
Honestly, while I enjoyed the book a lot, I wasn't necessarily left with a burning desire to immediately read everything else by Sara Ney. That being said, Not Your Biggest Fan is a fantastic, quick read that I'd happily recommend if you're looking for something fun and lighthearted with plenty of banter and charm. A solid 4 stars from me!

Sara Ney has suuuuuch a gift for pulling you in from the very first sentence on the very first page. Her writing is so captivating. It's always amazing to me how authors can take a genre like romance (my fave genre by the way, so this is no shade) where you KNOW it will end with the couple together and happy and keep readers engaged from start to finish. Sara Ney never ever disappoints. She's an author I'll read every time she releases a book and this book really solidified that for me.

It’s a very quick read (maybe a bit too quick), super easy to get through in just one day. The beginning was so funny, and overall the whole book is just a really fun experience! Cute and funny!
I think I would’ve liked to see the story go a bit further, to get more of the couple’s journey and what comes next.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Harlow and Landon (Andy)’s story starts out funny. They meet in Central Park where she warns him to not choose the maybe undercooked chicken at the foodtruck. Andy does get sick and has another chance encounter with Harlow at the elevator of the hotel they are both staying.
I loved how Harlow was totally down to earth, not recognizing Andy as she is not a sports fan. Her meddling father, he made me laugh out loud more than one time. Even when he was dumbstruck when he saw Andy in Harlow’s kitchen (because he knows who Andy is off course).
I loved this book. It was fun to see the playboy have his feelings and emotions all over the place and didn’t know how to handle things, but he just knew there could be more between him and Harlow.

Okay, I guess. I wish the readers would get to read about their first night together in a hotel, but I think it was skipped to the day after.
FMC then returns home, and somehow Andy shows up there. Not gonna lie, it kind of bothered me that he went by the name Andy because it sounds so childish and immature, and I felt like Landon would suit him better. Also, Harlow's dad had a lot of cameos, what with barging into Harlow's home when she wasn't (or was) home and him calling himself Big Steve and repeating it all over the book when someone didn't call him right. I think he was supposed to be this funny character, since he was a small, robust man and calling himself Big Steve, but at times, he was just annoying. I was hoping for more alone scenes between Landon and Harlow.
The whole drama was for nothing, in my opinion.
3 stars.

Andy was the biggest unsure person when it came to dating Harlow, he didn't know how to be normal. Where was his professional athlete suave? None was to be had. Their meet-cute in Central Park is a Ney classic for the ages. Andy and Harlow had a unique balance that made their relationship work. Big Steve Harlow's dad stole all the scenes he was in and who can’t love Kevin. I can’t wait for more in this series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Sweet, steamy, and a fast paced read!
Harlow and Andy meet at a food truck where he doesn’t take her advice on what to order. He runs into her later and asks her out for a day of sightseeing. He’s in New York to talk about his contract with the NFL. He loves that she doesn’t who he is. When she leaves to go back to Wisconsin, she figures it was a one night thing, but Andy wants more.
This book was adorable! I love a good sports romance and this did not disappoint!
Looking forward to reading more from Sara Ney

Thank you to NetGalley, Sara Ney, and Montlake for this ARC!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
*Reviewed on NetGalley, Amazon, and Goodreads.

Omg this book was so cute and hilarious. I really enjoyed every word of it. And since I read it on a family holiday with all the kids it was the perfect light-hearted book. I always forget how quirky Sara Ney's characters can be and this book was no different.
Andy and Harlow’s meet cute was the perfect set up for the characters and the entire feel for the story. I really loved the way they met and despite the weirdness of it, I could feel their chemistry.
And their relationships with their families and friends made them feel very genuine and easy to relate to. Even though I would have nothing to actually relate to them in real life. After reading the epilogue I am sincerely hoping that we get a book for Dex soon. I have a feeling he's going to give Andy a run for his money on the quirkiness scale.

4/5⭐
I always enjoy the banter and laughs in Sara's books. This one was full of both. The characters drew me in and kept me engaged throughout the whole book.

If you’re looking for a funny quick read look no further!! I found myself laughing throughout this book! I was hooked pretty quick and didn’t want to put it down! I loved Harlow and Andy! Of you’re an audio lover the audio of this one was great! The narrators did a great job bringing this book to life!Overall this was a great read and can’t wait for the next book in this series!

this is probably my new favorite from this author it was funny it was cute and steamy all rolled into one amazing story, we have Landon ( Andy ) who is a NFL football player who is a free agent looking for a team and then we have Harlow who is designing a dating app and don't watch much sports, well there meet cute was straight out of a rom com movie lol died laughing and what happens with the meet cute and the things that happen after lol, the fake mustaches around NewYork tour that they did was one of my favorite parts of this book so freaking funny, my favorite thing about this story was it was opposites attract and that reminds me of my husband and I we are total opposites lol but we make it work so well lol just like Andy and Harlow do in this story.

I've sat on this review for about a week trying to gather my thoughts on it. I usually love Sara Ney's books and will DEVOUR anything she writes. Her books are always lighthearted, with low drama and a lot of fun banter. With this one, I just had a hard time connecting to the characters.
The beginning of the book was really fun with the food truck mishap and their date. I loved and swooned over all of that and laughed a lot. The back half of the book where he comes to see her is when it started going downhill for me. Andy was super immature. Like REALLY immature. And his bff was even worse. Honestly? He came off more like a creepy stalker than someone who was madly in love. If he wasn't a football player, I'm pretty sure all of Harlow's friends would be like girl, RUN! Then again, Harlow's dad was pretty terrible so she could be used to that mess with him so for her, it's just normal, I guess? I think her dad was supposed to be comic relief, but he came off more as a narcissist with boundary issues. I kept waiting for her to tell him off, but alas.
Harlow was okay, but I REALLY wanted more of her app development. Given that it's mentioned in the blurb and is the whole reason for her being in NY, I had hoped it would be more of a focal point, but it was pretty much mentioned in passing and that was it. I think we missed out on a lot of what makes Harlow, Harlow and because of that, I had a hard time connecting with her.
Overall, I read the book quickly and it did entertain me, hence the 3 stars. It's not my favorite Ney book, but I mostly enjoyed it.

Was amazing read sorry got sick and landed up in hospital lost track arcs I requested . I do apologize for not getting. Review to you :(

I enjoyed Harlow and Andy together. Their time in NY is fun, with an enjoyment of the city and each other. And their flirty texts afterward are some of my favorites moments.
It is an insta-love kinda thing though, so you need to be ok with a little less than logical romance between the two of them. It’ll require you to just go with it and enjoy that they spent like 2 days together before deciding that major life decisions could be made. Realistic, no, but it’s a fun, rom-comy story and doesn’t have to be that real.
Although I do wish we’d gotten more of what it actually means for Harlow to be in a relationship with Andy. She gets a bit of it but I’m hoping that we get glimpses of it as we get future stories in the series. Because it isn’t going to be easy, and based on her issues once she figures out who he is, it’s something that needs to be addressed.
But Ney has an out here because their friends are a hoot and I’m looking forward to more books as (hopefully) each of them finds their own HEA. And Harlow’s dad as well. Like Harlow settling in to a relationship with Andy, I’m hoping that we get more of his search for a partner as we move along. There’s plenty of opportunity to address some of those missed moments and I’m curious to see where she goes.
Silly, funny, and lighthearted, as an introduction to Ney’s work I enjoyed Not Your Biggest Fan. Set your believability cap off to the side and just settle in for some fun 🙂

Oh boy, a new series from Sara Ney and I’m so excited!! New characters in a new world but the same sass and sexy times you expect from this author.
Harlow is in New York for work when she warns a good looking guy at a food truck to NOT get the chicken. He blows her off and she is so certain it’s the wrong decision that she bets him dinner he will get sick. She knows she was right when she sees a pale Andy at the elevator at her hotel. A little dazzled by this woman, Andy sends her a note inviting her to spend the day with him taking in the sights of the city.
What Harlow doesn’t realize is that Andy is actually Landon Burke, a super famous football player. He shows up with a disguise including a fake mustache and she just rolls with it. He can’t believe she doesn’t know who he is and finds that he loves the fact that he can be a regular guy on a date….and the fact that he is pretty dazzled by Harlow doesn’t hurt either!
After a night together, the trade numbers and go on home. They continue to text and talk, but Harlow is sure a long distance romance isn’t in either of their budget.
Eventually Andy makes the trip to Wisconsin to see Harlow and soon the news is out. She has a minor freak out but overall, pretty much takes his game in stride.
A couple of things I loved about this book…first of all, I was HIGHLY skeptical that Harlow would not know who this famous football player is but as we get to know her, it all just make sense.
Second, Big Steve, Harlow’s father, was a constant source of laughter for me!! From the phone call while Harlow and Andy are on the sightseeing bus (he tracks her location?!?) to the dating app bio he wants Harlow to write, this guy was pure comedy gold! Not to mention he has all the best and worst qualities that we love in our own parents!!
Lastly….there’s Lydia, Harlow’s teenage neighbor. On boy, did anyone else get Molly (HArd Love) vibes?!?!! I’m forever a Tripp fan and the interactions between Lydia and Andy (“I’m Lydia,” she informs me. “You must be the ‘something’ that came up.”) they were killing me!!
Ms. Ney, you are a master of banter and sass!!

When fate throws Andy and Harlow together at a food truck in New York, it makes for a funny story. Andy eats the chicken after Harlow warns him not too! They end up making a bet neither knowing they will meet again at the hotel they are staying at. They spend the day together sightseeing! She has no use that he is a professional football player and he loves that he can just be himself. The inner monologue for both characters is hilarious. I am partial to Harlow, but that is only because I’m from Wisconsin and she lives in Green Bay!! I love how she speaks her mind!

I wanted more from this story. I did like the meet cute of the main characters, Harlow and Andy. The time they spent in NYC together was great. But from then on I was just not feeling the story. It felt too rushed and I didn't feel the chemistry of the characters. It had the right premise but the execution was not it for me. This story might resonate with others but it just wasn't my cup of tea.
