Harlow & Landon

They meet in line at a food truck in Central Park. She warns him not to eat the chicken. Did he listen? Of course not! So they bet each other who would get sick from the food. The winner gets dinner.

Such a cute romcom with a touch of spice! This is my first Sara Ney book and I’m defiantly going to find another.

Not Your Biggest Fan delivers lovable characters, witty banter, and great pacing, but lacks the edge of the author’s indie titles. The meet-cute and Andy’s reluctant feelings for Harlow were charming, as were their magnetic connection and humorous text exchanges. The sports angle and Andy’s relationship with his parents added depth and fun moments. However, the depiction of Green Bay as a small town felt off, making some details harder to connect with. While an enjoyable read with plenty of laughs, it fell short of being a standout favorite.

A chance meeting and not so cute follow up set Harlow and Landon(Andy) on a laugh filled journey to HEA.

Landon Burke, the football star, meets Harlow James, the small town girl next door. She has no idea who he is and Landon finds that he liked just being Andy. They do normal dates and have fun. She is straight forward and honest with him. It’s a breath of fresh air after his last few girlfriends. Landon falls fast and hard for Harlow. He is all in.

Harlow was funny and a tad clueless. Sweet, down to earth and caring. She is very outspoken.

The story is fun with great characters. Extra points for Mama Burke and Bog Steve! The friend group is also good for laughs.

Starts off explosive 🤣 this one had me laughing and smiling right off the first chapter. Harlow and Andy have a meet cute at a food truck where Harlow gives Andy some very important advice about his food choices 👀 They don't expect to see each other again but certain elements have them touring New York City together. The banter they have back and forth makes you anticipating what will come next. My only wish was that it was longer so we could see Andy's transition to play in Wisconsin. Such a cute read 💕

Being from Wisconsin and even have lived in Green Bay for 10 years, I was so excited reading this one being a big Packers fan

I must admit, when I read the blurb for this book it sounded like something right up my street. It did make for a cute and easy read, revolving around Harlow who is in NYC to try and secure advertisers forup and coming dating app 'Kismet' and Andy, a free NFL agent who's in town in talks of being signed with the local team.
Harlow has no idea who he is, but Andy can't seem to stay away either and comes knocking on her door for more 😍

Pros
*I loved the meet cute of the MC's in Central Park and how they connected from the get go.
*Funny banter throughout
*Cute, but also cheesy moments (love myself some cheese!)
*The pacing of the story was smooth.

Cons
*Overbearing friends and father (of FMC) who got annoying towards the end
*Chats where the MMC sounded conceited, as well as his best mate
*FMC brushed over the fact that the MMC had lied to her (despite it being from omission). Somehow him being famous made it all fine and dandy?

Overall, a light-hearted and easy read for football fans, with a dash of spice and more 🥹

Thank you to Netgalley, Sara and Montlake for providing me with an eARC, in exchange for an honest review 🫶🏻

This was a well written story with good characters. Andy and Harlow had me swooning in parts. A recommended story and author

This was my first book by the author and I really liked her writing style. There were decently supportive side characters and the occasional spurt of witty banter.

It did seem like she couldn’t t decide if she wanted the FMC to be strong and “not like other girls” or if she was supposed to be petty and insecure. The MMC waffles between being a golden retriever and a “bro”. And she definitely tried to play Green Bay, WI as a backwoods, podunk, one-horse town which… why?

All-in-all, it’s a quick, fun read that anyone who loves their romance with minimal drama will definitely enjoy.

This is my first book from this author, and while I liked the concept and how Harlow and Andy meet and just click, and I do believe in “coup de foudre” it was a little too far-fetched at some point afterwards.

It is still a nice story with good vibes and a father with absolutely no boundaries. I liked Harlow’s character and how she doesn’t give a damn about football (totally relate to that with the European one) and Andy is not “too” full of himself. I like how you can feel that he wants this relationship, he wants to build something with her.

Pure undiluted 200% fun and swoon and cuteness! Not Your Biggest Fan by Sara Ney is the definition of good times! It's the kind of Book you pick when you just need uncomplicated happiness. Something to make you smile and fill your heart with warmth. Well, Sara Ney, Mission accomplished!

NFL's biggest star Landon Burke aka Andy meets the most amazing woman in New York, at a food truck! Harlow tried to warn him about the chicken skewer and he lost the bet and that's how they ended up spending some amazing time together! Best part? She has no idea who he is. Now he just has to convince her that they belong together..by appearing at her door few days later!

Andy is a riot of fun! He has his typical c0cky jock moments and that's actually impossible to avoid because he has the talent to back that arrogance. He is insanely gorgeous and sexy but his charm is everything. He is so easy going. He has a killer sense of humor. He loves how Harlow isn't a fan girl. It was a novel experience for sure as he is used to girls falling to his feet for his fame and sex appeal. Harlow is so awesome. She is witty and adorable. She was a bit overwhelmed when Andy's identity came out but she managed to overcome her worries. I loved the secondary characters and they were so entertaining. It had right amount of spice. I just wanted more of their love story!

This is my first time reading Sara's books. I liked it well enough but other than the unique meet cute between Harlow and Andy, there wasn't really anything that stood out for me. I'm always a fan of sports romance which is what drew me to the book.

I enjoyed the pacing and the writing style and I will check out some more of Sara's books for sure. The characters were ok. I do enjoy secret identity trope but I didn't really connect with these two as much as I wanted to. There wasn't much angst or drama between the pages that I tend to gravitate towards. Nothing wrong with that, it just wasn't right for what I tend to pull out of a book.

I did really enjoy the banter between the characters as well as group chats - those are always my favorite part. There isn't a lot of spice in this one, but what there was, I thought was great. Again, not a bad thing, I just like a little bit more.

Overall it was a fun, lighthearted read and I thank Sara and #netgalley for the opportunity to read this one.

Trash, trash, trash, and it wasn’t even the good kind. This book was ridiculous for a lot of reasons. Firstly, the writing was just awful. Considering these were almost 30 years old and they talked like they were in high school. It was juvenile and embarrassing. On top of that, the plot was pointless. Harlow’s career was not even relevant to the plot besides her being in New York. It was never mentioned again. And even if the plot didn’t revolve around her career, Andy’s career was just as pointless. There wasn’t a conflict besides his ex girlfriend who made a comment by the end of the book. Nothing really related to football at all. Also the way Andy talked about Harlow behind her back was crass and misogynistic. If I could give negative stars I would.

I freaking loved this book! Harlow and Andy have a hilarious meet-cute, epic banter, and undeniable chemistry. I will definitely be re-reading!

Harlow is a small town girl and Andy is a big shot pro football player. I loved how they met. The situation was original and funny! (You'll have to read to find out!) Andy is used to people knowing who he is but loves that Harlow had no clue. She's sassy and smart, beautiful and unapologetically herself. I love that she calls Andy out when he needs it and gets to know him for him, not his fame. Andy is the typical cocky pro athlete but he's also sweet and funny and loyal. I love that he falls so hard for Harlow. And he falls first!

These two have the best connection and I loved watching it grow. I loved this low angst, sexy and sweet romance!

ARC review.

3.75 stars rounded up

I really liked the story and zipped through it. That may be part of why I feel I need more. I would have preferred either a longer book or less time spent on the beginning. I wanted to see some of the struggles of being together and how it would impact them.

That being said, Andy and Harlow were super cute together. Btw with the name Andy, he has no right laughing about the name Stuart. Anyway, all their interactions were low-key and sweet but I wish I’d felt more between them than laughter and lust. I also wasn’t pleased with Andy’s reaction when Harlow found out the truth. Like dude, this is all your fault.

It probably sounds like I’m not happy with the book but I am. The writing itself was funny and the banter was on point. There were quirky characters, ahem Big Steve, and a loveable dog.
I think all the 400+ pages that other romance books have has spoilt me. I’m so used to getting all the little details that it feels a little jarring to read a faster paced book.

Thanks to Netgalley for the arc and this is my honest review.

This was definitely one of the funniest meet-cutes I have ever read. I love the humor that Sara brings to her books. I can always count on a lighthearted read and something to bring a smile to my face. Harlow meets Andy in line at a food truck in NYC. As luck would have it, they run into one another again (poor guy) at the hotel they both happen to be staying at. What were the chances? Some might say it was Kismet... but I digress.
They end up going on a day date to tour around NYC the next day. Harlow has no idea that he is a professional football player and thinks he is just unemployed. Andy likes that Harlow has no idea who he isn't and doesn't like him just for the fame and what his name can bring her. He likes that she is down to earth and can be himself around her. When their one day ends, he really isn't ready to give her up.
Harlow doesn't think she will see him again, but Andy has other plans. Those plans involve not letting her go.
I enjoyed Harlow and Andy's interactions with their parents and liked how they were so involved in their lives. I also loved the group chat with friends because, we know our besties know all the details about things before anyone else does!
Thanks to Montlake, Netgalley and Sara for an early copy!

You're who?
This is one of the funniest and definitely the grossest meet-cute ever. Food truck chicken... yikes.
Harlow, football hater, meets Andy, football player. But Harlow has zero clue as to who she met in Central Park and spent the day sightseeing with.
Until he shows up at her door and she gets a crash course in him and what it's like to see and be seen with a football star.

This book is a good time. It was fun and funny.

This was a really fun audiobook to listen to and I especially enjoyed the meet cute. "Andy" and Harlow have a playful kind of chemistry and while I'm usually a fan of instalove, it worked in this story. Harlow's dad adds a second dash of humor and this love story is a light, quick, easy read that leaves you smiling.

This was such a fun easy light read. You instantly root for Andy and Harlow and their banter is fantastic. The side characters in this story will literally make you laugh out loud.

This was a super cute book!! I really enjoyed the meet cute between these two! Harlow was super fun, and I loved how she had her own goals that she was working toward, and her not knowing who Andy was was so cute! And Andy was such a sweet MMC!! I loved how he was so self-assured but also didn't want to mess up the new relationship with Harlow! And I absolutely adored all the sweet friends and side characters we got to meet! For a such a quick read, it was a really fun and sweet story! If I had any complaint, it would be that I wish it had been longer so we could have had more angst, but really, I loved this story so much!! Overall so much fun and so sweet!! 4 stars; 3.75 chili peppers

I really enjoyed reading this book!

Harlow & Landon’s first time meeting was too funny, it had me cackling at their banter between eachother because of it.

They both end up meeting in New York when they’re there for business. Her for the app she is creating & him for football, trying to figure out who he wants to be traded to.

And when Harlow has no idea who he is, he rolls with it & is immediately smitten with her brutal honesty & spunky personality. I was definitely here for their hilarious conversations.

But when they end up leaving New York, they didn’t think they’d see each other again. Except Landon just can’t stay away & creates a reason to go to where she lives to surprise her. And boy is she definitely surprised. What follows is the mayhem of her finding out who he really is & coming to terms with it.

Their whole relationship was rocky initially but so dang cute. I absolutely devoured this book & am curious about Dex now too.

Amazing job!
