This book was so unique and I loved every second of it. I think the execution between the timelines was amazing. It was heartbreaking, and yet hope fulfilled. I’m a sucker for a soulmate story and this was right up my street.
I honestly think this book was executed so well. I also loved the fact that because this was tied to the love of a soul, no matter their form, this also had a very interesting LGBTQ+ angle that worked seamlessly. It also was interesting from a diversity perspective, having the souls reborn at different historical points all over the world - a very interesting and immersive read.
Would definitely recommend!!
Thank you to Laura Steven, Penguin Random House and Net Galley for letting me have an Arc of this book

The ending was everything I needed! The plot twists genuinely surprised me. I loved all the characters. Laura Stevens is a must-read author for me now having had so many hits.
I loved exploring their previous lives. I love the poetic messages about love, souls & what it is to be human.
Would recommend for fans of Every Other Day, One Last Stop or The Invisible Life of Addie Larue.

This is one of the sweetest and most heart-wrenching YA romantasy I've read in a while. 4.5 ⭐️
This book was so beautifully written, and I really felt their love, fear, and heartbreak throughout all their years and lives together. The way their story and relationship slowly unfolded as the story went on gripped me and left me wanting more. I wanted to know more about their past, how they found each other and fell in love, and why they could never live past 18. Their fate seemed so cruel, and this is the biggest mystery throughout the book. Arden knows and remembers everything, but Evelyn never does, and we are given clues and snippets every time we are taken back to crucial moments throughout their past.
This isn't fast-paced, which I realise may be a problem for some people, but considering the journey we go on, I felt the pace was needed to understand them and their relationship better.
The reason I gave this a 4.5⭐️ is because I felt there was something missing from the ending. It was still a shock to find out what actually happened, and it ended beautifully, but I was expecting a longer and possibly more trecherous conclusion.
I would recommend this to people who love
- Fantasy
- Soulmates
- Star-Crossed Lovers
- Found Family
- LGBTQ+
- Alternating Timelines
- Single POV
A huge thank you to the author, Penguin Random House and Netgalley, for allowing me to read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Our Infinite Fates pulls you in by the heart, it is angsty, heartbreaking and magnificently beautiful. The story keeps engaged, pulling you in over and over again just like our characters.
Their story, the emotions, everything in Our Infinite Fates stays with you and leaves you feeling like you need to get back into it once you finish it to relieve the story of Evelyn and Arden all over again once more.

As soon as I heard this book was inspired by Exile by Taylor Swift, I knew I would fall head over heels and boy, it did not disappoint.
This is my favourite type of story. Timeless, expansive and vast while also intimate, gentle and romantic. Evelyn and Arden’s love spans thousands of years, but so does their heartbreak.
Reading this book is travelling all corners of the globe, being swept through historical events, philosophising life and death and why our human hearts will always choose to keep loving, no matter the cost.
I devoured this book in one day but it will stay with me forever.
I can’t wait to read more from this author

Four and a half
Wow the premise of this might not be completely new but the reason for this couple's curse was a huge surprise. Evelyn remembers past lives although admittedly some details are hazy but she knows without a doubt that Arden will try to kill her before she turns eighteen. That's a huge problem because her sister needs stem cells from Evelyn and she's determined to help her little sister live ! So who is Arden in this life ? A newly arrived cute guy or someone she already knows ?
This was a story that held my interest and surprised me too. Evelyn is such a giving character and the Arden we meet here is pragmatic and determined to do what is right. This is a tale of love and as an unapologetic romantic I loved it. Forget gender and just get swept up in a story that will leave a smile on your face.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I really loved the concept of this book, and it was so easy to read (I devoured it in a day!) with some twists that I honestly did not see coming. I think the characters were maybe lacking a bit of depth, and the author made some choices about certain aspects of the story that I questioned, but hey I'm not writing any books myself so I can't exactly criticise the direction they took their own story in 😂 This book definitely gave me Addie LaRue vibes but for perhaps a younger (YA) audience?

Great premise - not so well executed
The story follows two people who are destined to fall in love during every lifetime only to kill each other before they turn 18. Unfortunately, we never actually get to see them fall in love, we are just told they are... repeatedly. I feel as though the book lacked emotion, I never felt connected to the characters and never really learnt much about them. The best part about this book was a side character Gracie and her connection to Evelyn. That was the only time for me that portrayed real depth and emotion.
I struggled with the writing at times but the pacing was well done and I didn't find the book to drag and flew through it. The ending/ second half of the book was enjoyable and much better written than the first half. I thought the twist was well done at the end. It was an enjoyable quick read, I just think I went into it with expectations set too high!
I am also not certain this can be classed as an LGBT read (imo). Although the characters are reborn into same-sex couples on occasion, it lacked depth and only lasted 10 or so pages.
Thankyou to Netgalley and Penguin for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Oh this book was beautifully written. I highlighted so many passages, it was really hard to narrow down just a few quotes I loved. While the ending truly took me by surprise, the real star of the show was lasting and eternal love. Love across time, across continents. Across boundaries of culture and societal norms. Jumping from the present day to multiple past iterations of their lives, the joy and pain of Evelyn and Arden was vivid and complex and wonderful. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loved The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue, or believes in soulmates.

I can't quite explain the depth of my love for this book. I put off reading it for a while because I knew that Laura would deliver a story that would sit with me for a while and even though I finished this a few weeks ago, I've not been able to put it into words.
Our Infinite Fates is so much more than just a love story - it's an exploration of the human experience. It delves so deeply into what it means to live and why, even through all the bad times, we choose to continue doing so day in and day out.
The story is so cleverly written, flashbacking to a previous life that becomes immediately relevant to what is happening in the present and I have to applaud Laura for the sheer amount of historical research she must've done to make this book so immersive. Her writing has always been so beautiful and with every reincarnation we saw, it very much felt as if we were there for every moment.
Evelyn and Arden were such fleshed out and complex characters and Laura did a fantastic job of making us feel invested in their story from the very beginning. Their love transcended every time period, every culture, every social norm, every societal expectation and in the end, it conquered the impossible too.
Laura Steven, you are an incredible writer. Thank you for blessing us with Our Infinite Fates.

Our Infinite Fates is a young adult romantasy about two teens who are infinitely fated to be together. In every life they are born into they find eachother but the twist is they are not allowed to live past 18 years. Cursed to kill eachother in every life we get to see each story, each identity and each heartbreak.
This book is utterly amazing, I was instantly pulled in by the separate timelines and eras we got to explore and witness. The descriptive writing really brought all the different settings and characters to life and I felt each tragedy, each laugh and all their unconditional love.
You need to read this book!

In this beautiful YA Evelyn and Arden are cursed soulmates. As soon as they’re close to turning 18 however they have to hunt and kill each other, until the next life. Evelyn can remember aspects from her past lives, but nothing about the reason behind the murders. Why can’t they grow older and be together, don’t they truly love each other?
It is well-written with multiple layers and timelines, unfolding the story and exploring their relationship across centuries. Flashbacks and poetry are dotted throughout the chapters which I really enjoyed.
Thank you NetGalley and Penguin for this advance copy.

First, I would to extend a huge thank you to NetGalley, St. Martins Press and @macmillan.audio for the advanced ebook and audio copy of this book, to author, Laura Steven for this incredible story and to Sofia Oxenham for the wonderful narration.
~ The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue meets This is How You Lose The Time War in this fantastical love story that defies death as two souls reincarnate through the centuries.
They've loved each other in a thousand lifetimes. They've killed each other in every one.~
This book blew me away. It was so beautiful and poetic that I found myself mesmerized from the very first chapter. There was so much depth, not only with each character, but in the writing itself- I felt transported to each point in time, vividly seeing as if I were there alongside them, feeling each emotion and heartbreak every step of the way. I will say that for me, the twist felt slightly anticlimactic, but I found the story to be so enjoyable that this didn’t take away from my overall experience.
Now, I have read reviews stating that there are too many quotes and poetry throughout the story and while I can agree that there are many, I feel that they fit seamlessly, making this book the hauntingly beautiful tale that it is. This really came through in the audiobook and was done perfectly in my opinion. I also plan on getting the physical copy on release day!

Ever since I heard about this book, I was desperate to read it. As someone who is obsessed with Fate, timelines and Kdramas, it sounded perfect. Two people fated to love each other but kill each other in every timeline??? 🤌🤌🤌
Now that ive read it, i can confirm it is NOT like a Kdrama. Yes there are elements like Goblin, a never ending love like Lovely Runner and a pretty good twist, but i was not obsessed.
I did enjoy it. I was intrigued all the way through, mostly because I wanted to know why. WHY?!?!? and when you find out why it's like 👀💔😵💫🤬😱😭
I loved how the author wrote each reincarnation and I LOVED how it was all tethered to one specific life in the present. That kept me reading and hooked because Evelyn had a goal. As readers we want her to reach it! And also its soooo hard to get readers to fall in love with characters who are ALREADY in love - but it was done very well.
But still.... i feel bitter. Evelyn was selfish all the way through and so I cannot get obsessed because it feels wrong. FAB execution though and definitely recommend!

I went into this book quite excited, I’d seen only glowing reviews and the blurb sounded great. But unfortunately for me it didn’t deliver and it actually took me ages to get through the book. Though I fully appreciate the story itself and did feel it was very original and unique I just didn’t gel with our main characters. I wasn’t connected to either them or the romance in the story which I put down mainly to their age. I just found the romance to be unbelievable for 17 year olds, and yes I do appreciate they have lived a thousand lives, but they never pass their teenage years and it just felt like a cringey teenage love story for me. However the writing was really good and I will be reading Laura’s adult novel also releasing this year which I think will be more for me.
Overall I gave this book a 3⭐️ as this certainly isn’t a bad book, the story was interesting but the character ages for me didn’t hit. I think if they were in their 20s I’d have found it a bit more believable and buy into the relationship more, but know this is solely a me thought and of all the people I know who have also arc read this, I am in the minority with my rating.

Thank you to Laura Steven and Penguin Random House for providing me with a copy of this book!
I really enjoyed this book and went in blind, which made the plot even more surprising as it pulled me in. The story flowed nicely, and I appreciated the unique element of exploring a thousand lives through the perspectives of two characters. This approach created a stronger connection to the reader and made me eager to learn more about the lives they shared.
While I found the stories of love and loss engaging, I felt that the section about "the mother" was rushed. I wanted to understand more about the connection between the main female character and "the mother." However, I did appreciate the update about Grace.
I will definitely be reading more of Laura's books in the future!

3.5 stars
I was drawn into the book by the premise - two people whose souls are connected but are destined to kill each other in every lifetime? SIGN ME UP! I did really enjoy the different incarnations of each character and the way they were drawn to each other and the way that it cleverly showed hints at what they were actually running away from. I did find the pacing a little slow though and then felt like the last fifth was rushed as a result.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the review copy!

“I love you, and I have loved you, and I will love you” encapsulates my every feeling towards this book. The enigmatic bond between Evelyn and Arden transcends space and time itself as their reincarnated souls navigate the world destined to kill each other over and over again. Once again fated to die before their 18th birthday and filled with flashbacks of their past lives and deaths, Evelyn is on a mission in their current incarnation and is more determined than ever before to unveil the truth behind their centuries-long dance with love, hate and mutually-assured deaths.
This soul-stirring book is very well paced and keeps you on your toes from the start. The chapters flicker between past lives and present day perspectives, which seamlessly builds the connection you feel to the two souls and let’s you comprehend the depth and complexity of their relationship to one another. After living countless lives in countless cultures, can Evelyn and Arden finally overcome their intertwined destinies?
Our Infinite Fates is such a profound read that engulfs your own soul and leaves you pondering the intricacies of love and death long after the last page. Heart-wrenchingly tragic and wholeheartedly emotional, this book is sure to take you on a rollercoaster of a journey.
Thank you to Laura Steven and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to give an advance review of this book. With time-defying romance and strong “will they kiss or stab each other” vibes, fans of The Invisible Life Of Addie LaRue or This Is How You Lose The Time War are sure to love this one. This was a hauntingly beautiful Fantasy Romance novel and I will be thinking about this one for a while, earning a solid 5/5 star rating from me!

Love the characters, the story and the plot. Its a unique love story with an unpexpected twist that you truly can't even begin to imagine and a bittersweet but hopeful happy ending. Can't recommend it enough, if you're looking for a love story, THIS IS THE LOVE STORY of 2025.

I have consistently enjoyed books by Laura Steven and this one was no different. Infact it may almost be my favorite that she has published. It was a must read since I adore her writing plus the promise of 'Exile' and 'This Is How You Lose the Time War' vibes. I was immediately drew in with the atmospheric narrative. The settings for each reincarnation were rooted and enjoyable and the lyrical prose made it so emotionally resonant, left me with an almost haunted feeling and desperation for the characters.
