In this book, Zarya takes another step towards harnessing all the magic that is hidden within her. Until now, most of the people she interacts with don't know what she is really capable of. She doesn't even know for sure, and what she doesn't know scares her.
As she joins the liberators of the vanshaj, she increasingly realizes that she is connected to them and their history. The stories of the vanshaj tell of a magic that is very similar to her own, and the reasons why they are destined for slavery seem very similar to what she fears most if she goes too deep into her magic.
So she begins to investigate whether there is a way to free the vanshaj from the magical tattoo around their necks that is forced on them as soon as they are born.
Small steps, one star by star, one drop of ink by drop, until she realizes that she is not enough, she needs an amplifier to help her turn a drop into a river, a star into a Milky Way, and steps into a march.
Zarya turns for help to where her heart draws her anyway, no matter how hard she tries to fight it. What follows is a magical dance that benefits many, both readers and slaves waiting for their freedom.
Part three once again offers a great retelling of old myths, igniting passion and gripping suspense. It is a complete pleasure to listen to.

Thank you to the Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for providing me with a review copy of Storm of Ink and Blood (the Nightfire Quartet #3) by Nisha J. Tuli in exchange for writing an honest review and promoting the novel.
This installment of the Nightfire Quartet picks up where the last in the series left off. We are thrown back into Ishaan, where Zanya is after Rabin’s betrayal. Throughout the story, we are taken through an emotional rollercoaster. This installment takes a stark contrast to the earlier two books in the series in the best way possible. We see massive character growth with Zanya and delve into numerous secrets.

This was a great continuation of this series! I am in love with this series. I cannot wait for the conclusion.

The relationship development in this book between zarya and Rabin is so beautiful. He is all in when it comes to his feelings for her and he’s really there for her while she develops her powers.
Nisha J Tuli just has a writing style that keeps you so engrossed and wanting to turn page after page (even when it’s 2 am!). I can’t wait for the next installment

Yep, it's a long one, but totally worth it! Complex and lush world building, strong characters, and non-stop intrigue keep the plot going. The author never disappoints, just read it.

’She would free them all if it was the last thing she did. She would free them all even if it cost her everything.’
This book starts a few months after the ending of the second one and introduces a whole host of new characters, world and plot. As well as more Yassen and Zarya best-friend goals. I honestly love their friendship so damn much and Yassen is the ride-or-die that everyone needs in their lives.
This books starts out fairly slow, introducing the new city and a rebellion that Zarya is taking part in. There’s quite a bit of soul searching and maturing for her character and some great relationship development between her and Rabin. He now knows what he wants, and it’s her.
”without you, I am nothing”
I’m looking forward to seeing how this series wraps up as we still have a lot of unanswered questions and I’m not 100% sure what the great conflict will be in the next book, or even who it will be against 🙈😅

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get into this one—But that was most definitely a me problem and says nothing against the book itself. Nisha J. Tuli is one of my favorite authors (I’m 100% keeping this on my TBR) but I just haven’t been able to get into any romantasy lately.

I have so much love for this series and really appreciated how consistent Nisha J. Tuli stays with Zarya's character arc through the first 3 books of this quartet. I felt the pacing to be much easier to follow in this book than in the last 2 and also loved the new characters we were introduced to. Often times in Romantasy titles we see new characters introduced for no apparent reason and I appreciated that all characters here served their purpose to further the plot. Cannot wait to read the final installment of this quartet.

4 ⭐️ My favourite in the series so far but there is still one more book to go. I love how beautifully crafted this world is. It immerses the reader in the colorful culture of the story. As always, the twists are unexpexted and Nisha knows how to capture the reader. Thanks to Netgalley and Nisha's wondeful publisher for this Arc

Oh, boy. This was hard to get through.
There were a few things that, personally, made this a tough read. First, the plot is very similar to the majority of popular romantasy books: a prophesied young woman has to save an enslaved populace and she's the only one who can do it because she has insanely strong powers and is the chosen one. I don't know about you all, but I'm quickly becoming tired of the same plot with a slight twist (this one has an Indian mythology twist, which I loved in the first book). There were a few points where I felt hopeful that we were getting somewhere unique, but they ultimately did not pan out.
Side note (with slight spoilers) - some of the spicy scenes were literally so random. Isn't there a revolution going on? Why did Rabin whisk Zarya away to his mansion (???) for a several-day-long frisky vacation right in the middle of them saving the enslaved people? I, personally, probably wouldn't do that if I was the chosen one.
The love interest, Rabin, is a rock of a person and is very one-dimensional. His entire personality is that he loves Zarya; he would do anything to be with Zarya; he doesn't mind being a slave as long as he's with Zarya. This simply does not do it for me. Give me some complexity, I'm begging you.
"'I could kill you right now,' she hissed. 'Then do it, he bit out.' There was no fear in his eyes. Either he truly believed she wouldn't, or he didn't care. 'End it. Without you, I am nothing.'"
Blargh.
He is insanely similar to popular romantasy male characters (I'm thinking Rowan from a Throne of Glass, Xaden from Fourth Wing). But maybe with a little less personality. If that's your thing, you would probably love him.
Also the way he talks cracks me up.
"Wear the dress if you're so inclined. It would bring me great pleasure."
Zarya, the protagonist, is fine. Three books into the series, and I'm not really feeling any sense of attachment towards her.
I hate to bash a book, and I honestly do think that this series has people who would really love it. If you love Sarah J. Maas or Rebecca Yarros and are reeaaaaally looking for a similar vibe/characters/plot, you will probably really enjoy this.
2/5 stars - thank you to Nisha J. Tuli, Second Sky Publishing, and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This sequel takes Zarya on an epic journey as she joins the Rising Phoenix to free the enslaved Vanshaj people, guided by a powerful prophecy. The world-building is vivid, the dark magic system is super unique, and the fast-paced plot keeps you hooked.
The romance between Zarya and Rabin is intense, especially with Rabin trying to earn forgiveness and win her back. His POV adds depth, and let’s be real—him shapeshifting into a mystical dragon is just chef’s kiss. If you love fantasy with action, magic, and swoon-worthy romance, this one’s a must-read!

I couldn’t get into this one unfortunately. I’m hoping it’s a right book, wrong time scenario. I will try to pick this one up later.

I am enjoying this series so much! I was holding my breath for the entire ending of this one. I can’t wait to see how this series is going to come to a close with the next book!

I have followed Nisha since the begining. Since to wake a kingdom and wicked is the reaper. Trial of the sun queen made almost all other fantasy I'd ever read before hand feel like it was leagues behind that book. Trial for me, was the pinnacle of fantasy. Then the nightfire series came and begrudgingly, I think it wound it's way around my heart in a way no other series ever has. Even more than trial. I was terrified to read books 3 and 4 and put it off for a very long time because I knew that would be it. Over. And I'd never get to read a new book in my favorite series for the first time ever again. But this series has been incredible from start to finish, and book 3 was beautiful, hot and utterly brilliant. Nisha is always my number one author recommendation to anyone who enjoys fantasy. The female characters that Nisha brings to life are kick ass, fiery and relatable in so many ways.
This series will forever live in my heart.

My favorite thing about this book series is the vivid imagery. I felt swept away into a magical land. This book did not disappoint in that aspect! I was with Zee from bustling city streets and back alleyways to secret gardens. From great heights looking down to the lowest of lows.
All the buildup of the previous books reaches its climax in this fast paced book. It was a tense, nonstop action packed read. I appreciated the quiet moments of a secret garden getaway, coffee with your best friend (well 2nd best), heart to hearts with the man who calls you daughter.
I can’t leave out the romance! It is intense, carnal, sweet, and really freaking spicy (pass the tums). Getting into Daddy Dragon Dom’s head, was the best. “She is the sunshine to my storm”, Rabin, be still my beating heart.
In the end I still don’t know who to really trust! Theres some crazy stuff going on and some people are not acting like themselves. Enemies have been made. Im looking forward to the final installment, because I am hooked!

I want to thank NetGalley for approving me for an ARC of this book.
This is the third book in the series and I enjoyed listening to it via BookBeat. Overall the book had a good pace to it and I loved the world building. My favourite aspect was seeing Zarya work with her magic and the collar marks.
This book built us up to a dramatic finale and I'm intrigued to see what happens in the final book.
🌟🌟🌟✨

I absolutely love this series, and book 3 cemented that even further. I have lost myself in this story and find myself wanting back in once I finish each book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a review copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. - arc & monthly book box pick reviewer
I am a huge fan of Nisha J. Tuli's writing, so I admit that I love anything she writes. Specifically, I love the found family bond between her characters, the ferocious female protagonist, and the sexy, powerful, protective but encouraging male protagonist/love interest who is there to support our heroine no matter what.
In this volume, Zarya and Yasen are finally independent and free to pursue their goals and desires, outside of other people's expectations and orders. It was nice to see what they chose for themselves. They join a rebellion and are determined to free people and help those in need. Of course, the moment when Zarya meets her maternal family comes, and everything explodes--literally and metaphorically.
Rabin grovels like the good man that he is, and he supports Zarya in her choices. He admits to his mistakes but also stands his ground and thankfully shows off his dragon AND his military, strategic mind.
I give 4 stars because I believe the book would have benefited if it was shorter. I also think that Zarya was a little over the place, more than usual. Who leaves a rebellion and her best friend and only writes a note?! II would also have liked if the spice came after the trust's return, but Rabin is a man we would all climb (or ride lmao or both)
Can't believe it got me so long to read this. I had actually receive it as an eARC but drowned in arcs in general at that time, so it took me a long while to return BUT it's good timing since I just received the eARC for the next and final book in the series!! So onto that one, I go!
If you love romantasy, strong female heroines, and delicious supportive love interests as well as a hilarious and supportive BFF, then this series is for you!!
Also, check out Nisha's other series! Her writing is golden!

This book is the third book in this series. If you plan on reading this book, please read the first two books, as these are not standalone books.
I loved this continuation of this story. Zarya has joined the rebellion against her family. She is strong, she is brave, and I really appreciated that about her, and that the main character was someone that you could look up to. Rabin had great character development. At the start of this book, Rabin had betrayed Zarya in the previous book, but in this one, he goes through a whole process of proving himself and improving himself to earn her trust back and becomes the MMC that is perfect for the FMC. I did enjoy the plot, but there were times when I found myself growing bored with what was happening, but otherwise the rebellion plotline was enjoyable.

I love this series! I think this might be the best one in the series!
Zarya makes some major discoveries and accomplishes so much! We are introduced to new characters and find out more about Zarya’s magic! There’s so much action and magic in this book and series! And the spice? Amazing!
I love that this book is different than other romantic fantasy books I’ve read! There’s so much beauty and culture!
I can’t wait for the last book!
