Kitty is back, baby!! My favourite vegan serial killer taking one bad man down at a time is back with a vengeance and I LOVED it! Kitty is losing it a bit in this one and I found it so relatable (ok, murdery bits aside!) but the emotions and goes through rang true and the frustration she feels at the worries us women have to face on a daily basis are REAL! Katy has nailed it again, and will forever be an auto buy author for me! I thought I had figured things out early on, but Katy tricked me with her clever story telling and the twists were brilliant!!

Killer Squel by Katy Brent! - I felt like it followed really well from book 1 and set's up the next book nicely.

The book continues on from How to kill men and get away with it following Influencer Kitty and her killing streak which shes had a year off from after murdering one of her best friends. The book picks up a year later and shes getting the itch to kill again whilst having to juggle her relationship with her boyfriend and her mum. A interesting difference in this book is the introduction of Misogynistic Blaze. Her year free of being happy and content doesn't last long and the body count starts to climb again for those who don't know how to treat woman. A great sequel from Katy.

I have read all of this author’s novels and have loved them so was delighted to receive this ARC and it did not disappoint. This is a sequel to ‘How to Kill Men and Get Away With it’ which introduced Kitty who has, since then, been trying to stop killing men. She has settled down with Charlie and attending an anger management group.

It all goes wrong and is hilarious. There are many twists and turns. Her hater, Blaze, who haunts and stalks her on social media follows her to France for her mother’s wedding to a guy Kitty has never met.

Another outing for the wonderful Kitty Collins, and this book is certainly as good as the previous one. I Bet You'd Look Good in a Coffin is an outrageous, but very funny book, and I am looking forward to reading about Kitty's next adventures.

Kitty Collins is back. She is very loved up with boyfriend Charlie and trying her very best not to kill anymore men. But can she resist when she sees them destroying so many women? And now her mum is getting re-married. Has she gone for another bad man like her father who she had to kill? Does she really want to go to the wedding and face the mum she has avoided for years?
Honestly, this book is fantastic. I didn't think it could be as good as the first story 'How to kill men and get away with it' - this book really surpasses it and brings kitty into her own. I loved all of this book and some amazing new characters are introduced. There are some fantastic twists and some laugh out loud moments. It is even left open at the end for another sequel. I just hope Katy Brent is working in it now. I can't wait. One of those books that you just don't want to end. Highly recommended.

Any book written by Katy Brent has been an automatic purchase for me, and after this book it is absolutely continuing to be the case. Sequels are notorious for being a bit of a “let down”, but this one only made me want more. More of Katy’s writing, but especially more of Kitty Collins. A female serial murderer, meets social media influencer, meets ultimate feminist? Adore her. Adore this book.

I loved delving deeper into Kitty’s serious mummy issues, after exploring her daddy issues in her first book, but I especially loved the development of their relationship and the different family dynamics situated at the end of the book. I fell in love with the protectiveness of her mum, her willingness to help Kitty clean up her messes, even while their relationship is rocky (like come on, how sweet of her to forgive her daughter for almost killing her man the night before the wedding, super cute!).

I fell head over heels for the angry women’s group and the different roles they played in Kitty’s life, albeit small for the majority. How that group began was through some really relatable stories of real women, and how it ended came from the love women have for one another and the support women commonly, and unconditionally, give other women, not necessarily to the extremes of Kitty’s character. However, there was a distinctive realistic feel to it and I felt like I was being wrapped in a blanket and rocked, while “No Scrubs” by TLC played in the background. These fictional women represent very real women. And I loved the subtle depth of that.

I was very sad to see the end of Kitty and Charlie’s relationship, I think I speak for most unhinged readers when I say, why can’t he just let her kill horrible *fictional* men and support her on it? Shouldn’t he want to destroy people like Blaze Bundy with her??

And also, fuck Blaze Bundy AND Connor. Brent, your ability to write hateable characters is showing again… UGH I can’t stop gobbling it up.

Ultimately, you don’t have to be unhinged to read this book, but you do have to have a little crazy to appreciate it.

Kitty Collins avenging angel strikes again and again! I thoroughly enjoyed this book however I read this one and did miss the narration that I enjoyed from the last kitty Collins book. I would probably prefer to stick to audiobook for future books because I think the narrator mixed with the writing is a perfect combo. There are bits of the book that stretch the imagination of how much luck one girl has but it doesn’t detract at all from the overall story. 4 stars well deserved.

I was lucky enough to be given an ARC copy of I Bet You’d Look Good In A Coffin by Katy Brent. This second instalment of our favourite murderess is just as witty, dark and grippy as the first.

It has been a year since her last kill and despite living with her boyfriend Charlie and being happy, something is missing… Everywhere she looks there are awful men who to her are just asking for her attention, especially an influencer called Blaze Bundy. He has his sights set on kitty however she has no idea who he is, but knows his content and behaviour towards female is dangerous and has to stop. Whilst all of this is unwrapping and Kitty is trying to figure things out her mum is back in her life and has taken both Kitty and Charlie to the South of France for her wedding.

If you haven’t read Katy’s previous two books then you have time as this is published February 13th 2025 and definitely worth a pre-order. It is not one to miss 🔪🍾🫶🏼

Kitty is back at last, I loved the first instalment of this series and I flew through this book. The author is writes so different compared to others and it grabs your attention and very witty in parts. This author is now on my auto buy list and will read anything she writes. Loved this book still prefer the first one but that could just be me but this definitely didn't disappoint. Gave 4.5 stars but rounded up to 5 for this review. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for this arc.

I've just finished this book and I have to admit I stayed up until midnight as I wanted to know what happened. Despite the main character being a serial killer, it was more a light read than a mystery /thriller,, Obviously knowing who the killer was at the beginning and her thoughts meant I wasn't thinking about suspects etc. She also killed to protect women so I'm hoping she's not caught and is the character in more books first.

Second book in this series and really enjoyed it BUT the only thing that I found discomforting and disturbing was the race-baiting in it.

Several areas of the book mention the skin colour of certain characters which was totally unnecessary and disturbing to me. Skin colour, whether white or black, should not be added into a book of fiction unless it’s necessary to the foundation of the plot or story. This author seems stuck on the “white man privilege” soap box and it was repeatedly noted throughout the book which makes a reader feel quite nauseous. If we discuss the rest of the book, without the racist comments, it was a great story of love and family loyalty with added sarcastic-wit that we English do so well

I LOVED how to Kill Men and get away with it and I was so excited to get my hands on this next installment of Kitty Collins' life.

I love stepping in to the world of the abboitire heiress, vegan serial killer Kitty Collins. She is fiercely protective of the ones she loves and she will go out of her way to stop anyone who hurts them. A year on from her last killing we know it's going to take some seriously misogyny and/or attack on her loved ones to spark another killing, and boy that character doesn't disappoint. This book tackles some serious topics for women in the most hilarious, clever and sometimes downright gory ways. I love the way Katy Brent writes to just draw the reader in and keep us locked there wanting to put off the rest of our day to keep following Kitty and her story. I'll read Katy's shopping list at this point. I've loved everything she's written.

A welcome return of Kitty- who is trying her hardest not to murder obnoxious men but, lets face it, so many of them are asking for it!

Guys, Kitty’s back, and she hasn’t let us down. I was lucky to receive the eARC for the first book in this series, and I was WAITING for this second one to be available too. The moment I saw this available to request, I gasped and hit that button ASAP! Thank you NetGalley and HQ for this eARC.
I am definitely not disappointed at all!

I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin has everything we loved from How to Kill Men and Get Away With It (and dare I say even more?!). The plot twists got me gasping at the end (the “What in the sibling rivalry is going on?”) I don’t want to say anymore in case I spoil anything, but if you loved Kitty Collins in the first book, you’ll love her even more in this book!

In true Katy Brent style, I laughed out loud, felt sad, got a little scared of her, and was happy to see justice being served.

Also…… do we have a third book coming?!!!!!! I CAN’T WAIT! I know Brent’s writing will carry us through the next installment too.

Kitty is back! 🔪🩸 I actually cannot fault this book at all. If you loved the first one then you will love this one even more. Kitty is as epic and hilarious as ever but I also feel like the deeper message within the book is more profound in this one than it was in the first.

The sisterhood and female empowerment vibes are IMMACULATE and I bloody loved it!

Kitty is back! I enjoyed that the story continues on from How To Kill Men and Get Away With It, with Kitty still in a relationship with Charlie, and friends Tor and Maisie are still present. Kitty turns 30, her social media influencer days behind her. Her mother is getting married and there's a mysogynistic new influencer, Blaze Bundy, spreading his vile opinions online making it hard for Kitty to control her urges to kill.....

I love the ease of reading. The book was written so well and drew me in keeping me hooked right up until the end. I like that the book covered current issues- how addictive and consuming social media can be, and how it relates to the MeToo movement.

I enjoyed seeing how Kitty reunited with her mother, the misunderstandings that she faced upon meeting her mother's fiance.... I also made a few assumptions myself, about who Blaze Bundy was, only to be completely wrong! I especially liked the twists in the story at the end....

I am looking forward to the possibility of a third book? Katy Brent and HQ please, please make this happen! I'd love to see how the ending of this book plays out......

Also, the reference to 'Bad Blood' was brilliant! Absolutely loved this book, thank you again HQ and Netgalley for the opportunity to read early,

Absolutely hilarious and I just couldn't put it down. I really hope Katy continues this series.
If you haven't read the first one you'd probably be best to read it before this.

Killer Kitty is back for another hugely entertaining murder-spree romp, this time in the South of France!

Once again, Katy Brent has pulled it off again; making you love a serial killer who so often gets things wrong and making you laugh along the way, even though your sensible head says murder is not a funny topic. With its glamorous location and moneyed pretty people, "Coffin" is the perfect read for a winter night with your feet-up on the sofa in front of the fire while the weather does its worst outside.

With the Kitty books, I'm increasingly reminded of Jilly Cooper's novels; they're definitely not to be taken seriously and are really great diversions with their aristocrats and glitterati behaving badly until shown up by a good-hearted hero or heroine - except Kitty is more of an anti-heroine with her murderous streak, albeit with the best of intentions. With Cooper about to return to our televisions, I think it's time for the new girl on the block to hit the screen...

Kitty Collins isn't evil. Not really. Admittedly, she does kill people, that's true, but only occasionally and usually only when she feels she has no real alternative.
And there's one other thing. She does absolutely love the act of murder itself. For Kitty's targets are not random or indiscriminate.
