I’m a sucker for these types of books and Katy Brent did not disappoint!

Kitty Collins is a vegan serial killer who loves fancy things. She has a wonderful boyfriend and a fractious relationship with her mother. Life’s going great but something’s not quite right and that’s Kitty hasn’t killed in a long time.

Along comes Blaze Bundy, an anonymous social media influencer who has a vendetta against Kitty. She has no idea who he is but she is determined to find out. In the midst of this, her mother’s back and she’s getting married in France.

There’s a lot more happening in this book but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Highly recommend everyone reads this book, you cannot not love Kitty.

Katy Brent delivers another wickedly entertaining read with I Bet You Look Good in a Coffin. Just like her first novel, this book is packed with sharp, dark wit and an addictive storyline that keeps you hooked. While the plot was a bit of a slow burn for me, the engaging writing and clever twists more than made up for it. The surprises were genuinely fun and unexpected, keeping me on my toes throughout. If you loved Brent’s first book, this one definitely delivers just as much. A perfect mix of dark humor and thrilling mystery!

This is a darkly humorous thriller with a sharp edge. The story follows Kitty a clever and calculated woman who takes justice into her own hands, targeting men who have built their lives on exploiting and mistreating women. With a mix of wit and suspense, the novel delivers a compelling blend of crime, social commentary, and humour.

Kitty is an intriguing protagonist—morally complex yet oddly relatable. The writing is fast-paced and while the book has its heavier moments, the humour keeps it from feeling too dark.
A smart, amusing thriller with a unique perspective. Perfect for those who enjoy crime fiction with a darkly comedic twist.

Oh My Goodness! Absolutely fabulous to see Kitty back in action, and this one will have you racing through pages with your heart thumping as you accompany her through this roller coaster of a journey. Fast and definitely furious fun.

That was fun and well written, very good at leading you where the author wanted you to go. Everything ties up well, even if some parts seemed out of the blue. And I'm kinda frustrated by an aspect of the ending, but also, I get it. Considering I went in blind, I had a good time. And it was totally readable as a standalone even though it's part of a series. Though I'm interested in going back to read the others now to better understand her and her journey. She's the embodiment of (white) female rage and I love her and urges.

I loved The Murder After the Night Before so I was already excited for this one and it definitely had me hooked just as the first one did with its humour, twists and murder.

Kitty Collins is back with a vengeance. Despite trying to suppress her killer instinct now she's happily coupled up with Charlie, she is finding it increasingly difficult to resist the urge. And when a well-known TV presenter uses his privilege to assault a young woman, well, it's the perfect excuse to reawaken the avenging angel.

Life had been calmer but with news of her Mum's impending nuptials and a misogynistic incel, Blazey Bundy targeting her, Kitty's equilibrium is disturbed.

If anything, this book is a darker and more gruesome sequel but it's so refreshing to have a strong female character challenging the patriarchy that sees victims left with no justice. Kitty's justice is swift and leaves no prisoners. At a time when women are having their rights eroded and feeling afraid, we all need a Kitty Collins to right those wrongs. Wonderfully escapist and purposefully over the top, this book is wonderfully satisfying to read for all of us who have felt powerless in the face of male violence.

A brilliant second novel in the Kitty Collins series. With plenty of dark humour and heart warming moments to balance the murder. Can't wait to see more from this author.

I have read and listened to a couple of Katy Brent's books and thoroughly enjoyed them so I certainly wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to read the latest outing of Kitty Collins and I am so pleased I didn't because, once again, Katy Brent has produced an outrageously funny, wicked and addictive story which, whilst implausible, is great fun to read.

This is the second in the series and whilst it does work as a standalone, it works so much better having read the first, How to Kill Men and Get Away with It - it will make so much more sense.

I loved everything about this book ... the story, the characters, the twists, the pace ... everything. Kitty is a very flawed character but she is written in such a way that you can't help rooting for her; she does and says things that I don't agree with absolutely however, it doesn't stop me rooting for her and wanting a happy ending.

Full of dark humour, wit and misogynistic men getting their comeuppance, this is a book that I highly recommend and it most definitely is a 5 star read for me. Katy Brent can't write the next one fast enough for my liking!!!

Many thanks to the author, HQ and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of this, the latest in the Kitty Collins series and I can't wait for the next.

This is a great book, the premise is that the protagonist cannot stand men who take advantage of vulnerable women, and has a lot of anger issues due to past events she takes matters into her own hands.
It does not sound like pleasant reading, but it is actually very entertaining a very quirky and different book. I loved it.

Kitty is back!!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am that she’s back. I loved HTKMAGAWI so I’d hoped there would be a second… maybe more….a girl can hope!!

Kitty is being poked, prodded like a hornet’s nest to break her resolve of no more killing. Sections of the male species simply can’t behave. Whether it’s not taking no for an answer, taking advantage of young impressionable women or in the case of Blaze Bundy, preaching horrific misogynistic behaviours akin to the vile Andrew Tate. The world is full of these obnoxious men and Kitty wants to do her part where the justice system fails. But she’s promised herself that she’ll behave, to be “normal” for the sake of her relationship with boyfriend Charlie who seems a good sort, though she is struggling adjusting to this way of life. Trust doesn’t come easy to Kitty.

I loved Kitty’s inner battles – I have similar battles but mine relate to food rather than bumping off a despicable example of a man. But Kitty is at her best when she does what she’s best at and her thought processes are brilliant, sometimes slightly comical but they are brilliant. Her heart is totally in the right place in my mind.

Katy Brent gave me one of my favourite reads on 2023 and I for one was ecstatic when book two was announced. I really hope there is a book three (pretty please Katy). Kitty is such a fabulous character I want more from her!! IBYLGIAC is a dark and witty follow up to Kitty’s first appearance on my kindle. Bravo Katy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I love the prequel How to Kill Men and Get Away With It, so as soon as I saw the sequel on Netgalley, I knew I had to read this. And it did not disappoint. I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin follows Kitty Collins, who’s on a break from murdering and trying to control her urges but men, mainly an influencer Blaze Bundy, aren’t making it easy for her.

Set a year after the first book, this sequel feels like a natural progression. Kitty has matured, her relationships are going well, and she’s even attending therapy groups. But despite her life going well, she still battles with her feminine rage when hearing about the actions of men. Kitty is a great character, despite her actions I find her really likeable, mainly because I love her wit. The author does a fantastic job balancing murder, gore, and dark themes while keeping the book fun and relatively light, it reads as a chick flick with some dark humour and murder mixed in. I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin was such an easy and fast paced read. I read it in 2 sittings and was surprised when I finished it. Time flew by as I was reading, which is one of the best compliments I can give a book.

I love the Kitty Collins books, they’re very fun to read. While the last few chapters almost felt over the top and went a bit silly for me, I still really enjoyed it. I’d love to see another book following Kitty, and I highly recommend this series to anyone.

Kitty Collins is back in another explosive and highly entertaining plot. I was gripped by this story, there were so many twists and turns. I really enjoyed reading about Kitty and her life now, as well as old and new characters, it was so easy to read. Katy Brent knows how to write well, there are some hilarious moments in the plot, but also moments where you genuinely feel cross about that type of man and his opinions. This was so entertaining, and such a treat to be back with Kitty. It’s been left with potential for another book which is really exciting.

Kitty Collins is back with a bang, you can’t keep a good homicidal maniac down especially one who means well and only kills those who deserve it, her main criteria being the presence of a Y chromosome and misogynistic tendencies…... although she has been known to make an exception when the need arose IYKYK and if not well read the first book! She’s really tried hard to fight her murderous tendencies and settle down to a life of domestic bliss with the lovely but ultimately boring Charlie but that itch to kill is just growing stronger by the day and as for those help groups, well attending Angry Women Anonymous is only adding fuel to her fire as she sits listening to her fellow members and daydreaming how to bring about the demise of their unwitting spouses. She might’ve managed to resist the urge to kill again until the advent of her nemesis Blaze Bundy, a bigoted misogynist who spreads his toxic venom around in Kitty’s old stomping ground of social media and when he decides to focus his attentions on Kitty, well he’s about to find out she’s at her most dangerous when she’s cornered

Kitty, I’ve missed you, there is no doubting you have serious anger issues, but I’d still want to be friends with you. I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin was a riot from start to finish. The writing was deliciously dark with a fabulous flow, the dialogue cutting and sarcastic and the humour wickedly funny especially Kitty’s inner thought processes as she looked at someone and instantly started thinking up ways to end them. The plot itself was full of intrigue, twists, and turns and that ending, well consider me shocked as I definitely did not see that twist coming but it has left me hopeful that we haven’t heard the last of our favourite serial killer.

I enjoyed this one a lot better than the first! I felt as though the author had expanded on her “kitty” character from the first book. She was more a real person this time and I could defiantly connect with her a lot more.
I really enjoyed the storyline, it was fast paced and it was really nice seeing the kitty character evolve to being more than just a bored rich girl!
The connection between kitty and her mum, also their new family dynamics was fun to read about and also exciting to see where it goes in the future if the author chooses to write more!

We’ve returned to the upper class, murderous Chelsea world of Kitty Collins following her murder spree and breakdown in book 1. This time she’s really trying to give up her killing ways but it doesn’t last for long…

Another strong book from Katy Brent in the ever growing female serial killer genre of books. Kitty of course can’t quite give up the murder, makes some very questionable decisions and mistakes along the way, but takes us for a lovely romp to France where her estranged mother is getting married to a much younger man… does he only want her for her money?

Just like the first this was good fun with some darker elements, will suit you if you like a bit of MIC or MAFS and all the drama that goes with it, as well as being ardently feminist at the same time 😂

And the ending has left things open for a follow up, can’t wait to see what Kitty does next.

What an incredible book. Katy just keeps getting better & better with each book.

Kitty brings laughter, drama, boss energy & raw emotion.

Killer or modern day hero? You decide.

Thank you for allowing me to read your work.

This was an amazing second book about Kitty. It was just as dark, witty and a bit bonkers. Kitty's inner monologue is one of the most entertaining that I've read! I was kept on the edge of my seat and needed to find out what was going to happen. It was an enjoyable stress and I did not see the twists coming. I would absolutely love there to be more books about kitty and her mad murderous adventures!

What a delight to jump back into the world of Kitty Collins and her wild antics. The first book in this series was so much fun (yes it's about a serial killer, but it's not that deep) and the second book lived up to my expectations.

At the start of the book I genuinely thought that maybe Kitty had turned over a new leaf and had given up on her vigilante ways, but in a twisted way, I was so happy when she gave in to her desire to save womankind. On paper, a female serial killer should make for a dark story, but there was so much comedy in this book that it almost takes the focus away from the murders. Kitty's one liners were everything and I found myself giggling through chapters at a time.

Of course, the plot wasn't realistic and there were details that I just could never see happening in real life. But the story was entertaining, funny and who can't love a woman who wants to do her part in tearing down the patriarchy. I love Kitty...IDST.
