I've not read the first book in the series, but I wish I had. Although I had read something very similar, which is also highly recommended.

This is not your conventional heroine story, Kitty Collins is not your average heroine, in fact she is a serial killer. But she only kills very bad men.

She has been on a reformative streak more recently, having met one of the 'good ones', she has been determined to make her life more 'normal' and settle down with her man.

But fate (if you will) has other ideas.

Kitty is receiving messages online from the misogynistic Blaze Bundy. He is exactly the sort of man that the old Kitty wouldn't have thought twice before killing.

Now she is desperate to show some self restraint, and also doesn't want to jeopardise her new relationship. But Blaze must still be stopped somehow.

Meanwhile Kitty learns that her Mother is getting married, to a man she barely knows, and who Kitty has never met.

Her Mother is wealthy... Surely this can't be good?

Can Kitty keep her reservations to herself and attend her Mother's wedding, or should she dig a little deeper into the fiancée's life, and find out if he is worthy of her Mother's love and affection.

Whatever path Kitty decides, she knows it is going to be tough, and that's without Blaze constantly messaging her. He seems to know so much about her.

It's high time he was stopped....

I did not realise that this was a sequel until after I had read it, so don't be put off if you haven't read the first title in what is likely to be series - it is definitely set up for more adventures at the end of 'I bet you'd look good in a coffin' - and I can't wait to read more about Kitty Collins and her special brand of justice! I will also be seeking out 'How to Kill Men and How to Get Away with it', as I want to know what happened before!

Kitty Collins is a force to be reckoned with! She has no compunction about delivering her own brand of justice - and as the book goes on, you realise that she is not the only one to feel like this. Lots of clever twists and I particularly enjoyed her relationship with her mum - who clearly knows Kitty well. This is a family which is fa from perfect with many dark secrets they would like to keep hidden - if only Kitty could stop committing murder!

Brilliantly written, dark and delicious - don't take it too seriously and enjoy the read!!

Thank you Netgalley, Katy Brent and HQ | HQ Digital for the eArc of I bet You'd look Good In a Coffin.

This is a fast paced Crime Thriller with a great humorous edge and the 2nd book in the Kitty Collins series. I have read this as a standalone and I felt that I didn't miss that much of the underlaying story. You get to know Kitty very quickly and her backstory which is extremely engaging. I loved Kitty's persona, The anti Heroine with morals and values always make a compelling character trope because on one hand they are a murderer but on the other, she's doing it for a reason.

The pacing of this book was great and pretty constant, Kitty isn't without flaws though and gets things wrong or " the wrong end of the stick " as she's trying to find out who is this Blaze Bundy, an misogynistic influencer while dealing with a surprise wedding invite by her Mother. This storylines has some great twists as everything unwinds and some surprises along the way. The finale was well executed. I'll shall be going back to read book 1 while I eagerly wait to see if we hear any more from Kitty Collins.

I also listened to the audio book of I bet You'd look Good In a Coffin and Victoria Morrison did a brilliant job bringing this already engaging book to life.

Kitty Collins is back! Your favourite vegan serial killer with a particular penchant for eliminating misogynistic, chauvinistic, and generally vile men - what’s not to love about her?!

Won’t lie, I was nervous going into this, as I’m a massive How to Kill Men and Get Away With It fangirl. But I shouldn’t have worried - Katy knows exactly what she’s doing and this was another absolute stunner!

While a lot felt familiar, this book also had a different edge. Kitty has definitely grown as a character, yet she still retains all the best bits that made her so compelling in the first place.

All the sharp wit and dark humour were present, making it just as entertaining as before. But it still managed to handle heavy topics sensitively while keeping a lighthearted tone. Katy boldly tackles important issues like violence against women, toxic masculinity, and misogyny within society, and she does it brilliantly.

Another completely addictive read - I flew through it, which says it all really. I already can’t wait to see what’s next for Kitty!

This was so good and I did not see that twist coning at all! I thought I had it all sussed out but I really didn't. I love the wit and humour that is used in this series! 100% recommend.

Kitty Collins is back! I was so excited to be approved to read this book and it didn’t disappoint.

It’s the second book in the Kitty Collins series, and if you haven’t read How To Kill Men and Get Away With It, you really must. In the second book, there are brief explanations to what has occurred in the first book, but I Bet You’d Look Good In a Coffin is a follow up to the story.

Kitty is a settled and happy female serial killer, who has put her knives away for good – or so she thinks! However, the temptation to kill Blaze Bundy, a misogynistic incel on social media, has started to grow rapidly. Blaze’s identity is unknown, as in all of his videos, he wears a masks and speaks through a voice changing device. His hatred for women really irks on Kitty’s nerves…

Then, Kitty receives an invitation to her mother’s wedding in southern France. Carmella, Kitty’s mother, is marrying a man called Gabriel, and Kitty, at first, is adamant she won’t go. With a gentle persuasion from her boyfriend, Charlie – and her mother, who appears out of the blue – Kitty agrees to go.

Then, Blaze contacts Kitty directly and soon she realises that he is headed for Cannes. The same place where the wedding is taking place.

Can Kitty uncover his identity before it’s too late?

This was such a fabulous read. I devoured it in a couple of evenings! I love how Kitty is a female Dexter; she only kills the bad guys, and let’s face it, there are loads of bad men out there.

I liked how Kitty was able to reconcile with her mother and put away the issues they’ve had in the past. Every girl needs her mum! This showed a gentler side to Kitty – she isn’t just a sarcastic, full of rage woman, there is real emotion there.

Will there be a book three? I truly hope so.Thank you to HQ for approving my NetGalley request to read and review this title.

I bet you'd look good in a coffin is a comedic thriller. Ironically, there are no coffins because it's about a vigilante killer of men. The plot reminds me of Dexter and has that phenomena where at first I couldn't get behind Kitty but eventually don't want her to get caught. I know it's supposed to be far fetched but it did det farcical pretty early on and the spoiled rich personalities grated on me. Some readers may find it triggering because there are some adult themes that come up throughout despite the humour. Quick holiday read.

What an intense, twisted sequel to How To Kill Men and Get Away With It. With the same comedic, insane vibes as the last book this sequel had straight me back in the saddle with Kitty and her Vigilante ways.

I loved the first book, I found it so intriguing and I couldn’t put it down and I thought it ended perfectly. When I started this one it felt a bit slow to get into the action. Don’t get me wrong I really quite enjoyed the story and the twists had me in shock as I never saw it coming but it just felt like it was lacking something. I honestly felt like the first book could’ve stayed a standalone and been a great conclusion to Kitty.

I was sad for how this one ended as I really liked her with Charlie. I enjoyed the added characters of this one and the found family aspect at the end was fantastic and quite hilarious in a way. I’m glad for how Kitty got to reconnect with her Mother too.

Overall, I did enjoy this one but it didn’t hook me the way the first one did and as much as I enjoyed reading about Kitty taking down bad men again it just felt a little forced.

Thank you to Netgalley and Katy Brent for the E-ARC

I’m a sucker for these types of books and Katy Brent did not disappoint!

Kitty Collins is a vegan serial killer who loves fancy things. She has a wonderful boyfriend and a fractious relationship with her mother. Life’s going great but something’s not quite right and that’s Kitty hasn’t killed in a long time.

Along comes Blaze Bundy, an anonymous social media influencer who has a vendetta against Kitty. She has no idea who he is but she is determined to find out. In the midst of this, her mother’s back and she’s getting married in France.

There’s a lot more happening in this book but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Highly recommend everyone reads this book, you cannot not love Kitty.

Katy Brent delivers another wickedly entertaining read with I Bet You Look Good in a Coffin. Just like her first novel, this book is packed with sharp, dark wit and an addictive storyline that keeps you hooked. While the plot was a bit of a slow burn for me, the engaging writing and clever twists more than made up for it. The surprises were genuinely fun and unexpected, keeping me on my toes throughout. If you loved Brent’s first book, this one definitely delivers just as much. A perfect mix of dark humor and thrilling mystery!

This is a darkly humorous thriller with a sharp edge. The story follows Kitty a clever and calculated woman who takes justice into her own hands, targeting men who have built their lives on exploiting and mistreating women. With a mix of wit and suspense, the novel delivers a compelling blend of crime, social commentary, and humour.

Kitty is an intriguing protagonist—morally complex yet oddly relatable. The writing is fast-paced and while the book has its heavier moments, the humour keeps it from feeling too dark.
A smart, amusing thriller with a unique perspective. Perfect for those who enjoy crime fiction with a darkly comedic twist.

Oh My Goodness! Absolutely fabulous to see Kitty back in action, and this one will have you racing through pages with your heart thumping as you accompany her through this roller coaster of a journey. Fast and definitely furious fun.

That was fun and well written, very good at leading you where the author wanted you to go. Everything ties up well, even if some parts seemed out of the blue. And I'm kinda frustrated by an aspect of the ending, but also, I get it. Considering I went in blind, I had a good time. And it was totally readable as a standalone even though it's part of a series. Though I'm interested in going back to read the others now to better understand her and her journey. She's the embodiment of (white) female rage and I love her and urges.

I loved The Murder After the Night Before so I was already excited for this one and it definitely had me hooked just as the first one did with its humour, twists and murder.

Kitty Collins is back with a vengeance. Despite trying to suppress her killer instinct now she's happily coupled up with Charlie, she is finding it increasingly difficult to resist the urge. And when a well-known TV presenter uses his privilege to assault a young woman, well, it's the perfect excuse to reawaken the avenging angel.

Life had been calmer but with news of her Mum's impending nuptials and a misogynistic incel, Blazey Bundy targeting her, Kitty's equilibrium is disturbed.

If anything, this book is a darker and more gruesome sequel but it's so refreshing to have a strong female character challenging the patriarchy that sees victims left with no justice. Kitty's justice is swift and leaves no prisoners. At a time when women are having their rights eroded and feeling afraid, we all need a Kitty Collins to right those wrongs. Wonderfully escapist and purposefully over the top, this book is wonderfully satisfying to read for all of us who have felt powerless in the face of male violence.

A brilliant second novel in the Kitty Collins series. With plenty of dark humour and heart warming moments to balance the murder. Can't wait to see more from this author.

I have read and listened to a couple of Katy Brent's books and thoroughly enjoyed them so I certainly wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to read the latest outing of Kitty Collins and I am so pleased I didn't because, once again, Katy Brent has produced an outrageously funny, wicked and addictive story which, whilst implausible, is great fun to read.

This is the second in the series and whilst it does work as a standalone, it works so much better having read the first, How to Kill Men and Get Away with It - it will make so much more sense.

I loved everything about this book ... the story, the characters, the twists, the pace ... everything. Kitty is a very flawed character but she is written in such a way that you can't help rooting for her; she does and says things that I don't agree with absolutely however, it doesn't stop me rooting for her and wanting a happy ending.

Full of dark humour, wit and misogynistic men getting their comeuppance, this is a book that I highly recommend and it most definitely is a 5 star read for me. Katy Brent can't write the next one fast enough for my liking!!!

Many thanks to the author, HQ and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of this, the latest in the Kitty Collins series and I can't wait for the next.

This is a great book, the premise is that the protagonist cannot stand men who take advantage of vulnerable women, and has a lot of anger issues due to past events she takes matters into her own hands.
It does not sound like pleasant reading, but it is actually very entertaining a very quirky and different book. I loved it.

Kitty is back!!!! I can’t tell you how excited I am that she’s back. I loved HTKMAGAWI so I’d hoped there would be a second… maybe more….a girl can hope!!

Kitty is being poked, prodded like a hornet’s nest to break her resolve of no more killing. Sections of the male species simply can’t behave. Whether it’s not taking no for an answer, taking advantage of young impressionable women or in the case of Blaze Bundy, preaching horrific misogynistic behaviours akin to the vile Andrew Tate. The world is full of these obnoxious men and Kitty wants to do her part where the justice system fails. But she’s promised herself that she’ll behave, to be “normal” for the sake of her relationship with boyfriend Charlie who seems a good sort, though she is struggling adjusting to this way of life. Trust doesn’t come easy to Kitty.

I loved Kitty’s inner battles – I have similar battles but mine relate to food rather than bumping off a despicable example of a man. But Kitty is at her best when she does what she’s best at and her thought processes are brilliant, sometimes slightly comical but they are brilliant. Her heart is totally in the right place in my mind.

Katy Brent gave me one of my favourite reads on 2023 and I for one was ecstatic when book two was announced. I really hope there is a book three (pretty please Katy). Kitty is such a fabulous character I want more from her!! IBYLGIAC is a dark and witty follow up to Kitty’s first appearance on my kindle. Bravo Katy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I love the prequel How to Kill Men and Get Away With It, so as soon as I saw the sequel on Netgalley, I knew I had to read this. And it did not disappoint. I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin follows Kitty Collins, who’s on a break from murdering and trying to control her urges but men, mainly an influencer Blaze Bundy, aren’t making it easy for her.

Set a year after the first book, this sequel feels like a natural progression. Kitty has matured, her relationships are going well, and she’s even attending therapy groups. But despite her life going well, she still battles with her feminine rage when hearing about the actions of men. Kitty is a great character, despite her actions I find her really likeable, mainly because I love her wit. The author does a fantastic job balancing murder, gore, and dark themes while keeping the book fun and relatively light, it reads as a chick flick with some dark humour and murder mixed in. I Bet You’d Look Good in a Coffin was such an easy and fast paced read. I read it in 2 sittings and was surprised when I finished it. Time flew by as I was reading, which is one of the best compliments I can give a book.

I love the Kitty Collins books, they’re very fun to read. While the last few chapters almost felt over the top and went a bit silly for me, I still really enjoyed it. I’d love to see another book following Kitty, and I highly recommend this series to anyone.
