Kitty Collins is back. Trying hard not to murder men who make her angry. Lots of twists for our unlikely heroine

Deliciously dark and hilarious, all while as acting as a bright spotlight on the real issues framing our criminal justice system.
I loved Kitty, and in this second instalment she is back - still as morally grey as she was originally, but somewhat - somehow - more understandable. The locations are changed up in this book and I thoroughly enjoyed the change in atmosphere! I hope Kitty has more stories to tell…

Kitty Collins was one of my favourite characters of 2022 and she’s back! Now loved up with partner Charlie and detoxing from serial murder she’s off to the South of France for her mother’s wedding. Will Katy be able to stop killing obnoxious men? Hilarious but including serious issues facing women today. Can’t wait for the next instalment.

First of all I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I'm a massive fan of Katy Brent and was so happy to see that she had done a sequel to How to Kill Men and Get Away With It.
It was still a really enjoyable story and feel like we got a better idea of Kitty Collin's past with her family and the relationships built around that. There wasn't quite as much killing in this book as the first one but it seemed to work with this story and showed character development.
I have to say I almost needed a quick recap of the events of the first book but didn't take long to jump back into the chaos.
I'm not sure if we will read about Kitty Collins again but I can't wait for what is next for this author.

A brilliant savage read 👏🏻
I love Brent’s dark humour. She just writes a killer female character so well.
I loved Kitty the moment I read book #1 and I was so excited when I saw there would be a book 2! It follows on nicely from the last book and although it’s definitely worth reading it, I wouldn’t say it was necessary to have read HTKMAGAWI.
There was so much drama in this book, I lapped it up! I was totally taken by surprise as the plot thickened, I didn’t guess anything 😂.
Short snappy chapters made it so easy to keep reading.
I enjoyed seeing a softer side to Kitty as she was trying to get sober (from killing) and how it was affecting her relationships.
The ending was mind blowing. It was so clever and I had absolutely no idea. I loved the red herrings laced throughout and they fooled me more than once.
A brilliant female vigilante character and I hope to god there’s more 👏🏻

Who'd have thought a book about a serial killer could be this light hearted. I found myself rooting for Kitty at every turn. I wish I'd read the previous books but still enjoyed this as a standalone. In a nutshell Kitty Collins is a serial killer - but only kills bad men. Men who hurt women in the main. She knows there won't be justice for their crimes so she avenges her friends. We see Kitty attending an Angry Woman's group as she tries to live life "murder sober". Living with her boyfriend Charlie has taken away most of her murder urges as she enjoys happiness for the first time. Invited to her mother's wedding in the south of France things take a murderous turn ... #netgalley #ibetyoudlookgoodinacoffin

I really enjoyed this book. I did not realise until I read a couple of other reviews that this was a follow up book. All credit to the author I did not realise this and so it did not detract from the story at all not knowing Kitty’s background. Kitty has been known to commit murders for, in her eyes, a very good reason. She cannot stand by and watch a friend, colleague etc be treated so badly by a man that she decides he needs to be out of the picture completely – murdered. She feels this is a service to women. Kitty meets the man of her dreams and decides that murder is not the way to go and becomes a “better” person – until a post on social media is seen. She is a great social media fan until she reads posts by a guy calling himself Blaze Bundy who seriously runs down women all the time and also gets a large following which Kitty cannot understand. As time continues she realises that maybe she does knows this guy and maybe a murder skills are needed again. Some of his posts seem directed at her. She fights her instinct to start her old career again. Carmella her mom who lives in the South of France is getting remarried and Kitty is to give her away. Kitty meet the prospective husband and decides that he is possibly Blaze Bundy and sets out to discover the truth. All sorts of dramas happen and it was a really good read. She finds her man in the end and I did see that coming.

Kitty is a retired social media influencer, meat packing princess and serial killer. Although one of those titles isn’t publicly known.
Kitty is getting itchy feet about some more personal justice in the world when she is attending her angry women’s group. The stories there are unfortunately common and inspires her next move.
Her partner, Charlie, is none the wiser to her alter ego. A loving, attentive man who runs a charity program helping others. They both get invited to her mother’s wedding at the most inopportune time for Kitty, she’s rather busy cleaning up.
A tale about justice, misogyny, family, and forgiveness.

This is the second book in the Kitty Collins series and let me tell you, it was a thrilling second installment from Katy Brent.
Kitty Collins is an anti-hero, who is witty, sassy and of course a serial killer. But just of men who really deserve it. Men like Blaze Bundy, an anonymous influencer spreading misogyny online making him a real contender to Kitty's kill list. Kitty goes away to France for her Mother's wedding and whilst she should be sunbathing and sipping cocktails, she is actually planning a murder. But who's?
This witty read was cleverly written and Brent really portrays Kitty's character through her writing. I adored Kitty and her character quirks and I loved her willingness to stand up for what is right and taking things into her own hands rather than waiting for the floored justice system. This was such an enjoyable and easy read, perfect to read between heavier reads as this is such a lighthearted and comic novel. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and wouldn't be surprised if there is a third book in the pipeline.
I would definitely recommend you to read this thrilling, fast paced and witty read. Due to be released on January 30th, pre-order your copy today!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book!
I would rate this 3.5 stars but have rounded up.
I was very excited to read this book as I loved the first in the series and really enjoyed the standalone by this author. This definitely lives up to the first in its sense of humour and in how strangely relatable the serial killer main character is.
Though Kitty’s lifestyle has changed slightly in this book, the references to her influencer career and designer lifestyle make it fun and glamorous. This perfectly contradicts the inner workings of Kitty’s brain in a darkly comedic way. I enjoyed the addition of her inner thoughts fighting to win her moral battles a lot.
The constant references to violence against women and the patriarchy felt essential but at times, slightly over exaggerated? I suppose that is necessary, though, to encourage readers root for the serial killer (which I definitely did).
I enjoyed the portrayal of Kitty’s personal mistakes and frequent errors in judgement a lot, they made her feel more real than in the first book.
Where the book lost the 1.5 stars for me was in the final third. Though I was utterly gripped, I feel the author made the decision to completely disregard the hold the series had on reality. The route the story took was definitely entertaining and unexpected, but it also felt like there wasn’t enough justification for how things occurred.
Overall I’d definitely still recommend this author and all three of her books as they’re such addictive and thrilling reads that really do validate many of the emotions of simply being a woman.

Thank you Netgalley and the publsishers for an arc of this book.
This book is about Kitty Collins, a femme fatale-esque serial killer who targets the most vile men that exist. It can be read as a standalone, especially seeing that I didn't realise there was a book before this one. You can sometimes feel it when things that happen in the past are referenced but never elaborated upon much, but it didn't really take much away from the main plotline of the story.
Kitty goes to southern France to attend her mom's wedding while actively being stalked and creeped upon by an anonymous misogynistic influencer under the name Blaze Bundy. It navigates Kitty's live for the couple of weeks where things ramp up and get serious to the point she has to figure out who Blaze Bundy, for her own safety.
I'd say it's like a pretty classic thriller that has a femme fatale fmc. It did slump me a bit and take me a while to get through, but that's mainly because of things irl. I must say it was quite easy to put down, but just as easy to get back into when you pick it back up.
Overall a solid 3/5 stars from me.

I admit that I haven't read the first book in this series but I had no trouble picking up and following the plot, this is dark humour at it's grizzly best, it is a story where you know that you shouldn't like the characters but you actually love them.
Kitty Collins is a typical "Sloan Ranger", designer clothes, wealthy friends and is loved up with her partner, the lovely Charlie but Kitty is getting withdrawal symptoms, she is getting the urge even though she had said no more killings and hadn't killed since last year.
Serial killer Kitty has a good heart, she would do anything to protect her friends including murders, murders that didn't count because the perpetrators deserved to die and the law didn't do anything so Kitty, like an avenging angel swooped in.........beware Blaze Bundy, you are in her sights, you may hide behind a bandana but she will find you.
Blaze Bundy is an influencer with thousands of incel followers that hang on his every word and he appears to be targeting Kitty but why ? surely he couldn't know her secret.
When an invitation came from her mother, the wealthy, beautiful Carmella, a mother who lived the life of Riley in the South of France, a mother who Kitty had blocked from her life a mother who now announces that she is getting married to the younger, devilishly handsome, Gabrielle, Kitty's hackles rose even higher, who was this Gabrielle, why hadn't she heard of him before, she had to protect her mother.
This book is a riot of black humour, you might not like Kitty's methods but you will be routing for her to get a HEA, this story twists and turns and will keep you guessing.
Thank you Net Gallery for this ARC, my review is voluntary

Prepare to be swept away by a whirlwind of emotions! This sequel shatters the notion that the original is always superior. From laugh-out-loud moments to heart-wrenching scenes, this book takes you on a rollercoaster ride. It's a thought-provoking commentary on the impact of social media in our lives, leaving you pondering long after you've turned the final page.
Kitty Collins is an absolute force of nature. She's a beacon of light in a world grappling with toxic masculinity and misogyny. While she may have her own struggles, her resilience and spirit are a testament to the power of the human heart.
Grateful to NetGalley and Katy Brent for the opportunity to experience this extraordinary journey.

Kitty Collins book number 2. I had read another book by Katy Brent before, and although I enjoyed it, it wasn't really my kind of read. Even though I hadn't read book 1 of this, I couldn't give up the opportunity to revisit this author, and I am so glad that I did. If you have read book 1, then you are already familiar with Kitty Collins. If you have not, then don't jump in like I did. Go and get book 1 first. I really don't think you'll be disappointed!
I was so impressed by this book. Kitty Collins is a fantastic character, and my new favorite serial killer. I love the fact that it was such an easy read, even laugh out loud funny at times, and yet there's some very bad men getting dealt with in gruesome detail. It is very difficult to write such a book and have it turn out so well. There was a dept to the plot, rather than just killing for killings sake. I did think at one particular point that it may be a little triggering for some people, so if you do have triggers I suggest checking that out before reading. I never guessed what was coming next. I am delighted that the ending left plenty of scope for further adventures for Kitty. I shall be reading book 1 very soon to get the full back story, before eagerly awaiting the next one.
Thank you to NetGalley and HQ for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Kitty Collins #2. Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC. I thoroughly enjoyed this book (which is odd because it had a lot of murder, lying and cheating involved). I have not read the first in the series, but intend to definitely do so now I have read this. 'I bet you'd look good in a coffin' was fabulously funny, serious at times (touching on sensitive topics such as rape), but overall providing light hearted approach to the situations Kitty finds herself in. I can't wait to read of the series and find out what crazy situations Kitty might find herself in

This was another great read by Katy Brent with one small exception, Kitty Collins has gone woke!
With the whole reason for most of Kitty's many kills and the inclusion of incel culture in this book I found it very hard to understand why she would be fine with a man, no matter how he was dressed and saw himself, invading a women's support group!
Aside from that issue, this book was another fun read. Following Kitty as she tries to figure out just who Blaze is especially after he starts to appear to target her in his posts was almost fun. Seeing her wrong turns here and there and how they affect her relationships with Charlie, her mother and her friends gave a few LOL moments but also some tearful ones too.
This is one of those books that takes you emotionally on a journey and leaves you almost begging for more by the last page. We need more Kitty Collins soon, please!

Kitty Collins is in recovery. Not from alcohol, drugs or any of the usual suspects, but from killing. That is until she feels she has to.
She is also being taunted by a misogynist called Blaze Bundy. So much so that she feels threatened when attending her Mother's wedding.
I really enjoyed this, just as good as the previous book.

Although I enjoyed this book I wouldn’t give it five stars as seems to be the norm for all other reviewers. The writing style is flowing and the storyline is easy to follow and fast moving. It did keep me interested to the end, but I wouldn’t be too upset if I don’t catch the sequel.

Thank you to netgalley for allowing me to review this book. I was a big fan of How to Kill Men and Get Away with it, I was thrilled to see a second book about Kitty Collins - and it didn't disappoint!
I found this one so hard to put down - I particularly love the deliciously dark humour throughout.
It covers some sadly very relevant, dark and gritty topics at the same time to having a page turner of a story.
I loved it, and it's left me hoping for a third book.

I really couldn’t put this down. What a book, utterly fantastic! Kitty Collins is a serial killer, but one with a conscience she only kills men that deserve it because the justice system is failing women.
Kitty has tried hard to stop, even joining a group, Angry Women Anonymous, to try and find an outlet for her anger. That and being happy with her boyfriend, Charlie, but nothing really works and it doesn’t take much for her to fall off the rails.
Well written and with a few twists along the way. Definitely one to read.
