I wanted to love this so much, Textbook Romance was a 5 star read for me but I found this was slow going.
Maggie was a likeable character as was Leo, I found their relationship easier to follow and almost found myself skim reading to get to their trip to the Lake District.
I really felt for Frank having to deal with his family, Maggie really did bring a lightness and joy to the wedding, without giving any spoliers her dress choice made for an interesting first meeting with his family.
There were some amusing areas, Maggie’s actions after their Christmas party were hilarious.
Jasper and his family were a joy and definitely brought the joy of Christmas into the story.
Thank you NetGalley, Kristen Bailey and Storm Publishing for this ARC, all opinions expressed are my own.

Very cute and cozy happily ever after tale, with plenty of holiday cheer and very memorable characters.

I always love Kristen Bailey's holiday books, and this continued that. This is so fun, and I really enjoyed all of the very different Christmas celebrations. The characters in this were so very easy to feel for and get connected to. This is a great holiday read.

Rhis was ok, enjoyed for what it was. The plot was nice and easy to follow , i like the characters and how their story develops .

As the holiday season approaches, I’m caught between my love for spooky Halloween reads and the undeniable pull of festive Christmas stories. This year, I found the perfect escape with The Christmas Escape by Kristen Bailey, which completely charmed me in the way few holiday romances do. While Catherine Walsh’s Holiday Romance usually sets the bar, this book quickly became a new favorite. Bailey’s writing, paired with Harrie Dobby’s delightful narration, made the experience even more enjoyable, with Dobby’s flawless delivery of accents and characters bringing the story to life.
The story follows Maggie Field, the manager of an IT department in a large London corporation, who is facing the difficult task of choosing one of her team members to lay off before Christmas. Maggie’s close-knit team of quirky co-workers—Frank, Jasper, and Leo—are more like family to her, and she can't imagine saying goodbye to any of them. To help her navigate this tough decision, her friends invite her to spend the holidays with their families, leading to a series of amusing and heartwarming adventures. From awkward family moments to unexpected romantic sparks with Leo, Maggie’s Christmas is filled with laughter, emotional growth, and the realization that sometimes love is closer than you think. With plenty of holiday cheer, humor, and a low-drama conflict, this book is a feel-good read that’s perfect for getting into the festive spirit. If you love heartwarming romances that celebrate both friendship and love, this one is a must-read!

Book Review: WE THREE KINGS
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Author: Kristen Bailey
A big Thank You To @netgalley and @stormbooks_co for the gifted ARC of this book.
When I first wrote this review I had just pulled myself into the Holiday book reads and his adorable book did not disappoint!
FMC Maggie Field is an IT Manager in London at a rather large company. The IT department is located in the basement of this company. There is Maggie and her three coworkers, Frank, Jasper and Leo. The four of them have developed real friendships. HR informs days before the Holidays begin that the company is downsizing and job cuts are coming. She will need to pick one of the three to let go.
This is going to be hard for Maggie as she wonders how she can let one of her friends down. She is also spending time with each of them and families during the holidays. As Maggie spends tie with them she learns so much more about them personally and their families too. Her and Leo also start to become closer as they are both single. Maggie is besides herself on what to do. Will she be able to find a loop hole to keep her “family” together? Maybe she will find love with Leo along the way.
The zany twist and turns, adventures and laughs this book has if fun. There were times with Maggie and Leo’s budding relationship that was great and times I just yelled out loud at them. The romance was slow but so worth it.
This book was a crazy, fun and happy read. Perfect for a Holiday read!

This was certainly a rather festive book, that I really enjoyed. It sums up the feelings of the festive season, while also being really fun.
I do love a geek, so a team of three men plus Maggie in a basement IT department instantly caught my attention, and after a really early but makeshift Christmas party at a Mexican restaurant, her team decide there is no way Maggie is going to spend Christmas alone this year.
So they decide to share her between them, starting with her being a plus one at Frank's sister's wedding, then a trip to Jasper's country pile and finally Christmas day with Leo and his family. But what they don't know is Maggie has to make a decision that is going to have to break the work family up.
I'll admit I guessed very early on what Maggie's decision would be as it made the most sense, even before we get to know the men and their respective families. I there some lovely moments with each of them, and I loved all the contrasts between the characters at play.
And Maggie is trying to do her best to do right by each of them, be it last minute Christmas shopping at Westfield to help Frank with the women she is sure he is meant to be with, or a cunning fox rescue, not to mention an encounter with a Donkey,
It was a lovely story that definitely had me feeling a lost more Christmassy for having read it.
Thank you to Storm Publishing and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

100% yes. This was exactly the Christmas story I needed. I couldn't wait to keep reading this. The characters were just so darn good and loveable! I loved each of them but Jasper really has a piece of my heart. The humor was fantastic and I could visualize the scenes immediately. If you’re in need of a feel good holiday book then you need to grab a copy of this!

Maggie Field was looking forward to a solo Christmas in her cosy London flat – before her three workmates decided to liven things up for her.
A cute easy to read Christmas story for those who love a classic hallmark movie. Short review but I have nothing else to say other than read this!

When Maggie is left by herself the week of Christmas, her IT team save the day by inviting her to each of their celebrations — and desperate to find out more about her team; Frank, Jasper and Leo; she accepts.
I adore Kristen’s writing, so I knew I was going to love ‘We Three Kings’ from the get go. As usual, I was hooked from the first pages and desperate to find out more about each character. The plot is laced with humour and character quirks that you still think about long after you’ve finished the book. The romance was *chefs kiss* and I also loved the Eve cameo🙈

Last holiday season, I read Five Gold Rings and was immediately enamored! I’m so honored to be included in the book tour for Kristen Bailey’s most recent book, We Three Kings!
We Three Kings is an uplifting holiday romance infused with humor, but really focuses on friendship, acceptance and found family. The bond between four quirky IT basement dwelling co-workers is the magic of this story. When Frank, Jasper and Leo find out that Maggie will be alone for Christmas, they each insist she spend time with each of them as they travel home. And in return, Maggie will be helping them out as a plus one at several events. And despite working so closely together, its a peek into their personal lives that grants Maggie such insight into what makes each of her co-workers so special.
I’m not usually a seasonal reader, but Christmas is only the back drop for this book. What it really is about is loyalty, true friendship and a special kind of friendship. But if you do love a Christmas story, you do get enticing Christmas settings, hysterical family side characters, and laugh out loud banter among the characters. Oh, and a heart melting moment big gesture.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC! We Three Kings by Kristen Bailey is a lighthearted, heart warming story about a young IT tech and her work family. When she finds herself alone to celebrate the holidays, her work brothers decide to include her in their family festivities. Throughout the story she learns a little more about her "brothers" and ultimately finds the courage to do what is right. A nice easy read for the holidays. It would definitely make a great Hallmark movie.

Last holiday season, I read Five Gold Rings by Kristen Bailey and absolutely loved it! When Kristen reached out to see if I would be interested in her newest holiday read, We Three Kings, I jumped at the chance. Her latest book is just as funny and festive as Five Gold Rings.
While We Three Kings is a holiday romance, the book also celebrates friendships. The friendship among Maggie, Frank, Jasper, and Leo is truly wonderful! These friends support each other through thick and thin, embodying the spirit of unconditional support and unwavering loyalty.
When Maggie chooses to spend Christmas alone, her friends devise a different plan. Ultimately, Maggie finds herself savoring quality time with each of them: Frank’s “Crazy Rich Asian” sister’s wedding, Jasper’s family party, and Leo’s Christmas Eve/Day celebration. These adventures are downright hilarious. The story includes a swoony “he falls first” romance but never detracts from these quirky, wonderful friends!
The theme of kindness is the greatest and most uplifting surprise of We Three Kings. Maggie and her friend are so kind and thoughtful—people with big hearts! There's no better reminder this holiday season than the warmth of kindness!
Other Highlights: Workplace romance, crazy antics, hilarious innuendos, a cameo from Eve & Joe
4.25 ⭐

I loved Kristen Bailey's previous Christmas novel, Five Gold Rings, so was delighted when I was approved for We Three Kings. This time we follow Maggie an It Consultant who manages three guys in her basement office - Leo, Jasper and Frank. The four of them are a found family, supportive and close, so when Maggie is given the opportunity to spend Christmas with each of them she jumps at the chance. Except the day before she leaves with Frank to attend his sister's wedding as his plus one, HR meet with Maggie and give her an ultimatum. One of them has to go, and Maggie is the one to choose who it will be.
We see Maggie deal with this inner turmoil of breaking up their little family while attending the most extravagant wedding of the year, get bitten by some very cute foxes, and fall in love in the Lakes. And steal a donkey with a sleigh of Santas. With every interaction her decision changes, but across the whole story Maggie always comes across as very likeable, down to earth and just an all round good friend. She has such a good relationship with all three guys, knowing what each of them needs to be bring out the best of them. If anything I would have liked a bit more development between Maggie and Leo. Their story is quite quick to turn into love and the third act break up fell a little flat to me.
However overall this was a really fun, feel good Christmas story that feels very British. Think The IT Crowd but with a much more fleshed out plot. This is exactly the sort of story I want to read at Christmas time. That epilogue to the three wise men? Amazing.

Another belter from Kristen and once again I was laughing out loud, right from the very beginning! We Three Kings was hugely funny, with a fair amount of cuteness and a spritz of romance. I fell in love with the geeky Jasper, Frank, Leo and Maggie, along with all their families. The food made me so hungry, all of the time and in particular the Singaporean wedding food, including the lobster noodles and satay with peanut dipping sauce - yum yum!
I loved the IT aspect, how the four make up the IT Department with the company they work for and the banter they share about the rest of the building’s IT mishaps! They also reminded me so much of the amazing IT team that I had the pleasure of knowing when I worked for twenty-plus years in a hospital in the UK. The lads in the book each reminded me of different team members I knew!
We Three Kings is a book full of cosiness, hugs, kindness and families and I loved it. Kristen has made her way to be one of my must-read authors and I can’t wait for the next one.
Thank you to NetGalley, Storm Publishing and Kristen Bailey for the opportunity to read We Three Kings.

This holiday romance concept really grabbed my attention initially! However, the style of writing quickly bothered me personally, and I found myself unable to get past the second chapter. This may not be the case for other readers - three stars for a fun concept!

I thoroughly enjoyed We Three Kings. It was full of romance, humour, and Christmas spirit.
I was hooked from the first chapter, I just couldn't put it down.
I love a good Christmas story, and We Three Kings didn't disappoint.
The characters were all charismatic, sweet, and interesting, and Leo and Maggie had great chemistry.
I loved the dynamic between Maggie, Leo, Jasper, and Frank. You could see their love for each other leap from the pages. I loved them all so much that I honestly couldn't pick a favourite.
This is the first book I've read from Kristen Bailey, but it definitely won't be the last.
I highly recommend.
4 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks to Netgalley, Storm Publishing, and Kristen Bailey for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love this author’s Christmas novels so much! I need to see them made in Christmas movies. I really enjoyed all the characters in this one, the comedy, the romance - it was all so good!!

I bloody loved this book. Even the fact that I was lying by the pool in Egypt, reading about a very British Christmas, didn't bother me.
Maggie is the head of IT in a firm in London. It's just her and 3 other geeks who work in the basement, barely even noticed by the rest of the company. As Christmas is looming, her parent's have gone off on a cruise and she is looking forward to spending time alone.
Except her colleagues have other plans. Between themselves , they have decided to invite Maggie to spend time with them which she accepts in the spirit that it is offered,
However, right before the company closes down for the Christmas period, Maggie is told by her boss that she has to make one of the team redundant. Maggie is left reeling by this and as she gets to know her team even better, her decision just seems to be impossible.
Each of her team are so very different. She finds herself posing as a girlfriend at a very posh wedding, spending time on a county estate rescuing a litter of baby foxes from hunters, to being welcomed in to a very large and loud family up in the Lake District.
Is Maggie going to be able to make a decision about which of her fantastic colleagues is made redundant?
This is a real heartwarming book full of truly lovely characters. I cannot recommend this book enough and I really hope that it is the massive success that it deserves to be.
