Perfect read to get you into the holiday mood. This is most definitely a slow burn, enemies to lovers holiday Rom Com. Loved the chemistry between Lyla and Mason. I love a good grumpy enemy MMC lol.

This book was so fun and good. It has the perfect amount of holiday magic and for fans of hallmark movies, although with a little bit more open door. I would love to see this in movie form.

The naughty or nice clause by Kate Callaghan, Lila Smurffen loves Christmas the walls in her living room even match her Christmas tree and she has candy, cane shaped throat pillows she fits perfectly in with the employees at the toy company that her dad previously owned. She’s happy optimistic, but for the last year she has had to contend with Mason clause. He is an investor and known for making hard decisions and to her dismay has bought her shares of the toy company from her dad right before he married his fourth wife and moved out of the country. So when she pays to throw a Christmas party for the employees, she never thinks it will lead to her going to the village of Yule, being introduced as his fiancé, going in front of the council to prove it and last, but not least falling in love with the grump himself.) I like everything about this book except Mason because there is a thin line between hot and grumpy and someone who may be hot, but it’s too much of a grump to notice it. He was a jerk. He was never happy never had a kind word for her, except every now and then and IDK she kept mentioning how hot he is. I think someone’s personality totally colors the way you see them. Lila the sense of whimsy his relatives the village everything else was awesome and I was even down with the ending, but was really getting aggravated with the damn distantly having to save her from herself the wolves, etc I am still going to read the next book in the series and just hope it’s a little bit better.#NetGalley, #KateCallahan, #TheVillageOfYule, #TheNaughtyOrNiceClause,

The idea of having Mr. Claus for boyfriend. At the same time, having him as boss is fascinating. I am not quite the girl who enjoys paranormal romances, but this one was as simple as it doesn't have the paranormal in it. I enjoyed this book. I read it in a few days. I couldn't get my hands off this one. The aesthetic of book, hot cocoa, slowburn, the cat that escaped in wood, their love story and chemistry - it can make you lovesick, but make your heart warm in a minute.

What a fun little holiday read, a great way to ease into the holiday season!! This has some of my fav tropes, and it didn’t disappoint.

Kate Callaghan is a new to me author and I loved getting to read The Naughty or Nice Clause. Perfect for the upcoming holiday season!

First of I have to tell you that this is the starting book of a series..... And after reading it I am sooo happy its gonna be a series.
This book was adorable, I loved it sooo much.
So First we have the enemies, working together trope then it makes a huge change to an unbelievable magical world.
These 2 (Mason and Lyla) reminded me soooo much of the couple in The Hating Game. There was sooo much sass, bickering and ohmygosh the flirting. So much fun to watch and be apart of their lives. You really start to feel and love these 2.
Now for Mason's family ohmy they are awesome and a great part of this book. Each are so special in their own way.
Then you have Natalie who you will dislike and are gonna have to read about how horrible she is.
Loved that there is so much Holiday vibes in this book.
The author wrote this book so well, I couldn't put it down. Literally read it a day.
Cant wait for the 2nd book in the series comes out and takes me back to this magical Hallmark Christmas Movie type feel!!!

Laughing, kicking my feet, being merry, etc.
Mason and his humor was a big highlight, along with the setting/vibe (obviously). This actually exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed it much more than my first read by this author. The ending was a little abrupt. I would’ve loved an epilouge! 4.25 stars.

I would have liked a little more spice. It seemed promising at the start but just fizzled and fizzled and fizzled constantly until we almost got to the end. They had great chemistry and I’d love to hear more about Lyle and Mason. I really want to live in Yule too, I’ll definitely read the next one, I feel invested now!

I received this book for free for an honest review from netgalley. Thank you for the opportunity.
So much fun. I'm always a sucker for Christmas books. Very well written.

I read about 55% and couldn't get into the story and
didn't feel anything about the characters. So I am going
to dnf this book!

Christmas and a touch of fantasy all rolled into one makes for a wonderful festive read.
The authors writing style instantly captured my attention, and I found myself fully engrossed to the end.
Fabulously festive!

If you’re looking for a quick Hallmark-style book, then this is a perfect Christmas read. If you enjoy the secret identity, enemies to lovers, and fake engagement, then this book contains those tropes. I really enjoyed this book’s concept of how the North Pole functions. It was very different and interesting to read about. There were some aspects that fell short and caused me to take away some stars. I wish there was more chemistry between the characters. I was hoping for a more tense, stronger buildup of the enemies to lovers trope. The ending felt very rushed and could have also been a better buildup.
The world-building of Yule was done very well, and the whole family dynamic was also good. There even has a little bit of a found family trope in there too. This is definitely worth checking out for the Christmas season.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lyla’s father retired as CEO of their toy company before the holidays not quite knowing the full story. In comes Mason Klaus an investor. Lyla is not thrilled to share the company with him but what can she do. 🧸
Mason cancels the company holiday party and Lyla throws it despite him, behind his back. When the party end in chais and destruction, Mason offers her a deal- go home with him for the holidays. 🔥
Lyla has no idea what she is agreeing to and it’s one magical ride!!! Read to find out what happens! 🔔
I really enjoyed this read in preparation for the holidays and for book 2 which was published last month (Tis the Season for Secrets)! I thought the village of Yule was adorable and I could envision it with the magic working overtime for the holiday season. ❄️
Such a cute Christmas read from author, Kate Callaghan. Thank you to both the author and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this epub. My review is being left voluntarily.

This book's premise was so ridiculous, but for some reason I really enjoyed it and will read the other adventures to Yule in the upcoming series.
Lyla's enemy, Mason Klaus, has taken over part ownership of her father's toy company. As part of a punishment for throwing a party which causes a fire, so is forced to go home with Mason-to Yule (the North Pole!) where she finds out that Mason is actually the heir to the role of Santa Claus.
Includes: enemies to lovers romance, Hallmark-type small town setting, and fake engagement
Positives:
The setting is adorable. A perfect early November read. Cute, quick, and light read
The slow burn romance is cute
The side characters are likeable. They are not very well developed, but I think that is so that the author can write more novels set in Yule where their storylines are and back stories are developed more.
There was a lot of diversity within the characters and the city of Yule (body shapes, LGBTA+, disabled characters, etc.
Negatives:
The idea of ringing a bell and transporting to the North Pole and the world of Santa Claus is ridiculous, but somehow if you can get past it, the novel and the storyline works.

I love a cheesy Hallmark movie, so I thought I might like this one - and I did! It made me excited to get into the holiday season and the touch of fantasy was, pardon me, the perfect touch.

Lyla’s has worked for her father at their toy factory her whole life and when he sells 51% of the company to Mason Klaus with the condition that the two of them be CO-CEO’s she is furious. Butting heads at every turn, Lyla considers Mason the ultimate Grinch and when he cancels the company Christmas party, well that’s the last straw! Confronting him about the party does no good but Lyla is going to do whatever it takes to make sure their company does have its annual party. Even if she has to arrange and pay for it herself!
Little does she know that her act of kindness is going to backfire in a big way! Not only does drunken revelry ensue, they set fire to the kitchen causing the whole plant to shut down for the holidays while they remodel.
Mason is definitely not happy with the situation and when you add in the command appearance he needs to make at home, namely the Village of Yule, he is one grumpy dude. Hoping to make his trip home better he convinces Lyla to go with him, pretending to be his fiancé, but she never dreamed that they were going to the actual magical North Pole and that Santa is real!
The magical village and its wonderful residents can only soften her heart. Can the magic of Christmas make their pretend romance real and can he save Christmas and be the Mr. Klaus they all love?
Grab your copy of The Naughty or Nice Clause and enjoy!

4.5⭐️ 1.5🌶️
This was such a cute Christmas Romance! Lyla and Mason start out hating each other, but over time they came to their senses. Majority of the story takes place in Yule (the North Pole). Yule is a charming, cozy, Christmas town with a little bit of magic. Definitely my favorite Christmas setting! The author created her own version of Christmas magic and I actually really liked it!
I did find the beginning of the story to be a bit slow. But once Yule came into play, I had a great time. I definitely recommend this holiday read!

I must say it took me no time at all to read this one. Easy to read and quite enjoyable this is a book about a real fantasy and does take you on a journey. It takes you from a real world to that of a fantastical Christmas wonderland.
With good characters who you can relate to at least a little bit this is a story that evolves and it is a Christmas story (I love Christmas!). It has its fun, its quirks and even some magic and it wasn't an over-the-top romantic read.
Enjoyable, fun, naughty and nice, Christmas and a wonderland. What more could you want. And easy read!
Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This was such a fun read!! I love the idea of a Yule village and it reminded me of the North Pole from the Santa Clause movies, which made the whole vibe of the book very nostalgic as I read through. The characters do a great job of moving the story along, and I loved the 2 main characters a lot! The whole enemies to lover trope is my favorite, and I love how their story played out. My favorite was the ending, and I love how neither Lyla nor Mason had to compromise their dreams and futures to be together!
A great way to start the season!
