I have loved every single one of Allison Ashley’s books and I was beyond excited to receive an arc of IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES. Sadly, this was my least favorite of her work.

What didn’t work for me was the insta love, characters fell flat & felt one dimensional so I wasn’t invested in them or their relationship. I do love how well she writes and medical issues and the emotions that come along with them.

Thank you Montlake and Netgalley for the arc ☺️

Jamie and Elliott will become favorites of yours right away! I was so taken with them. They have just the best beginning together and you will absolutely love how the story unfolds. I’m so thankful to have gotten to read this new book before it comes out. I’ll still buy myself a signed copy! Every Allison Ashley book has gotten better. I think this one is my favorite one yet!

I’ve loved every one of her books so far and this is no exception. In fact, it may be my new favorite of hers. As a pharmacist, Allison writes medical romance books that are accurate and feel so real and genuine. This one had a slightly annoying trope of “we both like each other but shouldn’t date 😒” but I still loved it anyways. Plus, great side characters and a cute dog as a bonus!

This was such an easy read! Elliot and Jamie were cute! My only complaint is that the 2nd half seemed a little rushed- I wanted more from them!!

As usual Allison Ashley does a fantastic job bringing medical to romance.
This story follows a woman struggling with leukemia. The night before an extensive bone marrow transplant that she may or may not survive, Elliott has the most wonderful and fantastic meet cute of her life. With no exchange of contacts, they both go their separate ways as Elliott does not know the outcome of tomorrow. A year later, fate brings them together but unfortunately, he is dating the one person who saved her life.

The meet cute in this story is absolutely perfect!! I loved every second. Talk about romantic! Oh fate has funny twists and turns in this story. I definitely felt for these characters. Both Elliott and Jamie are the most cinnamon roll like MCs ever and their interactions are just adorable. Jamie is so sweet and utterly charming. Love that man! I loved the dog too!

A fun read with all the fated romance we love! Thank you to the author and published for the traveling arc! Excited to see what Allison comes up with next!

Feeling uncertain about the stem cell transplant curing her cancer, Elliott decided to be someone else and enjoy a night out on the town. During her reveling, she met a man who left a big impression on her. After a tough year fighting the leukemia, Elliott was ready to embark on the next chapter of her life and begin building her future. And then, what she hoped would happen, she crossed paths with HIM again. Is it fate? Is it meant to be? Only time will tell.

Ashely won me over with Would You Rather and continues to charm me with her heartwarming stories. Elliot was a character who won me over immediately, and I was so invested in her future. I feel for people who battle cancer, but my heart aches for those who have to face that challenge multiple times. Elliot had spent so many years dealing with her illness, it just didn't seem fair. I was rooting for her as she slowly tried to reclaim her life and make up for the years she lost. She wanted to finish school and start a business, and I was there to support her in all those endeavors.

When she crossed paths with Jamie again, I hoped for them to have their second chance, to see where that one night could have gone. The complications pained me because it was easy to see the writing on the wall when it came to these two - they belonged together. Love triangles are not my favorite, but I thought it was handled well and didn't drag on too long, and thank goodness, because this match was fated.

There was so much warmth and joy shared between these two, and they supported each other in the best possible ways. I simply adored them together. They were both such wonderful people and even better as a couple. For a book that started with a woman facing her mortality, it turned into a rather joyful and uplifting tale of finding your passion and your people which I adored.

On the eve of a stem cell transplant to treat her leukaemia, Elliott decides to live it up and ends up making a connection with charming Jamie with whom she parts ways at the end of the night. A year later, she's meeting her stem cell donor Carly, whose boyfriend turns out to be Jamie.

There was no way they'd be together without someone getting hurt. The angst as they tried to hide their mutual pining was amazing.

Once they got together though, the story kind of fell flat from there. I skimmed the rest of the way through and felt it could've been shorter than dragging out the ending and adding more drama.

Still a good story though. Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

After reading the premise of this book, I honestly was scared how the love triangle was going to play out. It definitely gave me anxiety reading it, but I should have just trusted the author! Even though now I want a Carly book to see her story play out bc she’s such a fun character, and I could never be mad at her.

I cried, I laughed, and overall I really enjoyed this book. It can’t beat Would’ve You Rather, but it’s taken the spot of my second fav! Elliot and Jamie’s relationship was so sweet, and the friends to lovers plus second chance romance is so good here.

The only thing that made me mad was a huge red flag to me is that Jamie hates cats so I deducted a star for that. I’m completely serious, and if you’re a dog person this book loves dogs so there you go.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Books for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to @netgalley and Montlake for an eARC.

This book was so so good. First off, I adored both Elliott and Jamie! Their "meet cute", their first kiss, their struggles. All of it was perfection!

When they meet, you FEEL the chemistry and just immediately know they are meant to be together. But fate and life have other plans. When they meet again and we learn one isn't available, it shattered my heart.

I loved their story. The fight they fought to be together. And THE DOG!!

I loved this book more than I thought I would! I haven't read anything by Allison Ashley and I'm so glad that was my first book! Elliott and Jamie's first meeting was so bittersweet. I was sad when they weren't able to continue the relationship but I understood why Elliott didn't want to. Fast forward, and they meet again in not the best circumstances! I loved the slow burn element of this book and how they became friends first before pursuing each other. Overall, this was such a wholesome story and one I'd definitely recommend! Allison Ashley did an amazing job of representing cancer in this book and I applaud her for it.

Had I known my heart would break and then be put back together again, I might have prepared myself more. Please don't let this dissuade you from reading Allison Ashley's If Tomorrow Never Comes. This book reminds me of Rebecca Serle's In Five Years in the best way possible. Both heartbreakingly beautiful with satisfying endings.

Elliott has leukemia and when you have any type of cancer, you realize how short life is and truly start living. The night before a potentially life-changing stem-cell transplant, Elliott meets Jamie. Jamie is the kind of man I fear we can only read about in novels. He's charming, sweet, and has a way with words that will make anyone swoon. Elliott and Jamie share a kiss and the connection is instantaneous between the two of them,

Fast-foward to a year later and Elliott is in remission. She's doing fantastic in her graphic design job and she's met Carly, the woman who supplied the stem cells for Elliott's transplant. Elliott then meets Carly's boyfriend who is just happens to be Jamie, the same Jamie Elliott shared a kiss with the night before her transplant. I couldn't tear my eyes away from the pages after this meeting.

This book had me feeling all the feelings and I loved the ending. Please don't let the heavier aspects of this book keep you from reading it. It's truly one of the best romances I've read in some time.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the chance to read this book! I really loved the characters, the author did a great job with character development. I loved the medical aspects that were sprinkled into the story as well. A love triangle is a hard thing to write about but it was done in a very careful way by Allison!

Once again, Allison Ashley has written an emotionally rich tale that gracefully explores life's challenging moments. If Tomorrow Never Comes was the perfect read to kick off my new year. Ashley invited us into a bittersweet world but still kept it light and breezy much like the gentle rustling of leaves atop one's favorite tree.

I was delighted by Ashley's artful use of chocolate. She uses this little detail that seems almost absurd at first as a connector but also to illustrate the depth and complexity of the cancer journey and patient experience beyond the walls of a doctor's office. She sweetly explores grief and loss beyond the physical toll of the illness. I remember being devastated when salt and vinegar chips (my favourite) no longer tasted the same to me, but this is something people don't really talk about when you go through illness so it was nice to see Ashley include it.

Originally slated for release later this month, the book is now scheduled to be released in April so don't forget to mark your calendar and pre-order your copy! It's only my first read of 2025 but I know it'll be in my top 2025 reads.

I thought this book was different than the average romance book, so because of that, it definitely gave this book some unique elements. However, I felt like it was hard to really see the characters attraction to each other after only one night and one kiss. I think if readers really enjoy insta love storylines, they'll enjoy this one. It was cute, but unfortunately not one that I'll really remember too much from. I will be reading more from this author though because I liked the writing and it was a quick read for me when I was able to sit down and read a few chapters at a time!

I recommend the book for readers who are looking for an emotional story!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The main characters in this book were really cute but I actually really loved the side characters like Blythe, Carly, and Yuca; they were amazing examples of good friends. I enjoy seeing that kind of love highlighted in a book along with the romantic storyline.

Speaking of the romance, the slow burn and mutual pining were ON POINT. The storyline has a plot point that can be tricky to maneuver and I thought it was handled really well.

I will read anything Allison Ashley writes and I can’t wait to see more from her!

Loved it.

Good pacing, lovable characters all around, and overall just a heartwarming book. I appreciated the authenticity of feelings and reactions to scenarios that the characters went through. Recommend!

This was such an intriguing story concept. Elliot was diagnosed with leukemia as a teenager and the night before she was scheduled to have a stem cell transplant, she meets a man and shares a life changing kiss, uncertain if they'll ever cross paths again. One year later, she sees him again in the most unexpected way--- he was the boyfriend of the woman who had donated her stem cells! And all that chemistry that they'd shared was still there. Like I said, intriguing, right? To be clear, there is no cheating in this story, and it really didn't give off too many love triangle vibes at all. Complicated, yes, but I thought the author did a great job of making it all work. It was a cute story with great chemistry that kept me invested from start to finish.

If Tomorrow Never Comes is a closed-door/fade to black romance, but things do get a little steamy before ultimately fading out. There is also quite a bit of language, to include multiple uses of the f-word and as such, might not be for all readers.

Allison Ashley is an auto-buy for me. She has this amazing ability to harness passion AND a deep understanding of two characters. This creates the best romance novel ever. Her latest is about a woman named Elliott, whose life is literally on the line as she tries a stem cell transplant. The night before the procedure, she lets herself live a little--and meets her soul mate in the process. But she doesn't know if she'll even be alive in a month, and she'll certainly be in no condition to be going on dates. So she says goodbye to him... that is, until a year later, when healthy and doing well, she meets him again, and of course, he's the boyfriend of her new friend. Sparks fly (of course). This is a wonderful, heart-felt romance. Even having read it on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review, I'll be buying a copy for my bookshelf!

I am BLOWN away at how much I loved this story (I really shouldn't be because I've loved every Allison Ashley book I've read). Obsessed is not a big enough word to describe my admiration of it. I will say I was putting off reading it because love triangles aren't normally my thing, but the second I started reading, I couldn't put it down!

Elliot has been a cancer patient for most of her adult life and in less than 24 hours is undergoing a life-saving procedure thanks to the generocity of an anonymous bone marrow donor. For her last night before undergoing months of gruesome treatment, she sits at alone at a bar, where she meets Jamie. The two spend an incredible night together, but since Elliot knows that come tomorrow her life is drastically changing, she leaves Jamie with only her middle name and no promises of ever seeing each other again. A year later, Elliot gets to meet with the donor that saved her life- a stunning, charismatic woman who she'll never be able to thank enough, and is surprised when she also meets that donor's boyfriend- Jamie.

Whew- this story was beyond captivating and sucked me in immediately. I ADORED every single character and for it being a taboo/ love-triangle plot, it was very low drama and angst. The entire book was so wholesome and I can't wait for everyone else to get the chance to read this one!

- love triangle
- dual POV
- friends to lovers
- second chance-ish
- taboo relationship
- cancer patient representation
- golden retriever mmc
- right person, wrong time

Thank you SO SO much Allison Ashley and NetGalley for the advance copy!
