Work Trip is a fun and relaxing rom com, in the vein of The Hating Game and The Proposal.

Following the tried and true roles of workplace enemies to lovers and forced proximity, Ford adds a dash of despair by dropping our mc’s in the wild Scottish highlands. I really enjoyed Fliss and James’ chemistry, and their witty banter. Their initial conflict felt justified as we learnt more about their motivations and personal history.

The remote setting added an extra level of interest and spice. I particularly enjoyed the way that pulling them out of the workplace made them examine their personal drivers and beliefs about professionals success, which were really relatable.

Thank you Aria & Aries for an early copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

A wonderful feel good book where some employees go on a work trip with a difference- definitely never known of a team busting activity like this!

This is a perfect book for light reading and not having to wade through a weighty tomb!
It’s boy meets girl, they hate each other, then they get to know one another, but do they have the courage to take a chance on a relationship?
There’s raunchy stuff, outdoorsy stuff, plus the will they or won’t they deliberation.
This book came at a very good time for me as it’s not pretentious, just good old fashioned romance.

Enemies to Lovers and forced proximity done so well! Highly recommend this book. The bickering between Fliss and James had me laughing out loud.

Abandoned in the Scottish Highland with nothing but some protein bars, your work enemy and a single tent! A great romance debut from Chloe Ford. It's witty, sweet, sexy and a little bit ridiculous which is just how I like my romcoms. I loved the main characters, both flawed and driven, but not to the degree that made them annoying. The writing was excellent, the dialogue on point and the humour is really well done. Witty banter and tantalising chemistry weaved throughout the book, and the spice level was just right. This is an author that I will be adding to my most read list.

This was such a fun, cute, enjoyable read and just what I needed. Rivals to lovers, close proximity, work colleagues and a crazy adventure through the Scottish Highlands - what more could you want.

I initially didn’t think I would enjoy this as I found Fliss to be so annoying at first and I just couldn’t relate to her (I probably related more to James than anything lol). But after a while she grew on me.

I also really enjoyed the romance between the two characters. I liked that we got to see them be actual rivals before they started liking each other and it wasn’t just a case of rivals for two pages but suddenly in love. It made the whole thing much more believable.

Whilst I found that their “team building” in the Highlands to be quite unbelievable (like this would just never happen) and there were so many conveniences that happened to help the plot, the book was 10/10 on the vibes.

Overall, a very fun, cute and easy read. Highly recommend when you’re just in the mood for a simple and easy romance.

I had a good time reading this! The premise is fairly whacky (Michael really is a lunatic) but I quite enjoyed the Scottish setting and the bizarre series of events throughout

The blurb on this book immediately grabbed me. We have all worked with that ONE REALLY ANNOYING guy, right? And hell if he's not always just a bit CUTE! URGH!

So I always already invested and this book DID NOT let me down! I absolutely ADORED this!!

Here's what you'll find in Work Trip:
🔥Fiesty FMC who's really easy to like and relate to
🫦Annoyingly sexy MMC who's very easy to dislike... at first!
😍BANTER. These two were just at each other in all the best ways
💞Enemies to lovers done in the BEST way
🏕️Forced proximity... in the middle of nowhere... in SCOTLAND!
🌶️Medium spice. I could have personally gone for more, but I loved what we were given!

Took a chance on this book and I'm SO GLAD I did! It was just such a gorgeous book, a fast enjoyable read and highly recommend!!

Work Trip is a fun rom-com that I really enjoyed. You've got an insane boss, enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity, complete with a beautiful Scottish Highlands setting. I would have liked slightly more exploration of why James fell for Fliss but overall, I really liked it and will definitely keep an eye out for any future books by the author.

This was a really fast-paced, cute, funny and enjoyable read! The two main characters work in the same company, but in different departments and are kind of work enemies. They can not get along. But then they have to go on a trip, where their boss dumps them in the middle of nowhere in the Scottish Highlands and they have to find their way home again.
The bickering and the banter was strong, and they soon become kind of friends. This weird adventure definitely brought them closer together and made them reevaluate some of their live/work choices.
I’d recommend this book 😊

I really enjoyed this story. Felicity and James are two work rivals who cannot get along - so their boss unceremoniously dumps them in the woods with a tent, a sleeping bag, and 20 condoms.
Felicity and James need to learn how to work together to get along - both professionally and ultimately romantically.
A fun easy novel to be enjoyed!

Work Trip is a hoot. So entertaining is it, that is is impossible to put it down. Author Chloe Ford successfully blends adventure, leadership, a retreat, work, team building and romance. This is no mean feat. The main characters Fliss, James and Michael (their boss) are larger than life. Michael is scheming and manipulative. The unique challenge his ‘team’ face in the Scottish Highland is mind blowing. James and Fliss learn more about survival and resilience than they would ever have dreamed up. Their resolve not to give into any romantic notions is severely tested. And this is where the fun and fireworks begin.

3.75-4⭐️ - what a cute little romance! I loved the premise, the plot, the story, it was everything I needed. There was little sprinkles of spice, comedy and sassiness, all wrapped up in a context of finding what you really want to do with your life and finding your worth.

Thank you to Netgalley & Chloe Ford (& team) for the opportunity to read this book ahead of publishing!

I love the setting and premises of this story and that was something that really grabbed my interest when requesting this book! The author has done a wonderful job building scenery and adventure into this book.

For me it didn't feel like true enemies to lovers and I felt their ending was very predictable. The constant denial of feeling and assuming the other characters feelings isn't something I am a fan of personally. As someone who lives in the Highlands & Islands the one line of Gaelic felt out of place to me, as no one here typically greets strangers that way.

I did however find myself smiling at cute connections and enjoying the adventure of Fliss and James. The writing style is easy to follow and makes for a cute reading experience. I would read more of the authors books.

I loved this one, funny, easy read and enjoyable. The concept was brilliant and executed well. I was hooked from the first chapter onwards. I loved Fliss and James relationship and how open they became with each other. The setting sounded beautiful with great descriptions and it was paced well.

A must read for those who like an enemies to lovers and forced proximity trope. Looking forward to reading more by this author.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. If you love a rom com book and want some escapism go pre order this now.

Thank you to Aria Books and Netgalley for the advance copy of Work Trip.

Work Trip follows Fliss and James on what they think is an innocuous team building trip to Scotland. Only when they get there and then swiftly get abandoned by their boss, left only with backpacks of hiking gear, £50, and a note telling them their team building exercise is to hike back to their hotel in order to make their flight home. Slightly insane. Even worse that Fliss and James HATED each other, and are stuck sharing one small tent…

This book was really fun, and a great premise. I enjoyed it a lot! Though sometimes I really had to suspend my disbelief to get fully absorbed into the story - but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

This was a little toooo far-fetched. It was a completely mad trip to send employees on and that made the premise. a bit hard to swallow. Both the main characters were quite annoying. But otherwise, a fun read.

Thoughts 💭- I LOVED this one! It was such an easy read, not my ‘usual’ genre shall we say but I was loving it and read it in one day!just couldn’t put it down. Enemies to lovers / forced proximity and one bed tropes clearly seem to be my thing!

If you’re after something funny, light hearted and easy reading this is definitely for you. I’d actually love a sequel to this 🥰
