I absolutely loved this book! It was a Nancy Drew meets book festival mystery. The book was a short, fun, easy read. I loved the characters and the Valentine's theme of the book. This was the first book in the series that I have read, but I felt it was easy to understand who the characters were, and I did not feel like I was missing anything.

The Valentine’s Day theme was fun, but the plot felt a little thin in places and I had a hard time connecting with some of the characters. Still, not a bad pick if you're in the mood for something seasonal and light.

I absolutely loved this book! I could not put it down once I started it! It was such a cute read! The cozy mystery and romance was exactly what I needed to read. I loved that the author included recipes in the book!

Cute, quirky, fluffy. By no means a literary masterpiece, but I had a good time reading it. I’d recommended for people to get them out of a slump.

Cutesy festive read with a slight twist to romance.

I loved the small town vibe and I rarely reach for novels that are Valentine’s Day inspired, because who wants to be single for the day of Love.

This book pulled out all the stops - book fest, quirky town folk, small town/big energy, and a murder mystery.

Deadlines and Valentines by Heather Weidner is a charming and witty cozy mystery that’s perfect for fans of lighthearted, page-turning reads. The story follows Charlotte, a savvy journalist who stumbles upon a mystery while investigating a seemingly routine assignment, just as Valentine's Day approaches. With a mix of humor, suspense, and romance, Weidner crafts a delightful tale filled with quirky characters and surprising twists.

The pacing is quick, and the writing is engaging, keeping readers hooked from start to finish. The blend of mystery and romance adds just the right amount of intrigue, making it an enjoyable read for anyone looking for a fun and entertaining escape.

slow start and a large amount of characters to keep track of.
a cute valentines murder mystery overall. I did end up going back and reading the rest of the series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5)
A cosy mystery with charm and humour. Heather Weidner creates a likeable sleuth in Delanie and a Valentine’s-themed murder that’s light on gore but high on intrigue. Sweet, clever, and perfect for a weekend binge.

It should have been a fun, relaxing, and enlightening time meeting their fans, but some of the creative word spinners allowed jealousy and anger to ruin the time, which led to murder. This was an intriguing and relaxing read. A mild cozy mystery without the adrenaline pumping with excitement.

I recently read a book in another series by this author and didn't care for it, but I thought I'd give this series a try. Jules Keene owns a clamping vacation destination in the Blue Ridge Mountains near the small community of Fern Valley. In an effort to increase tourism do a slow month, Fern Valley decides to throw a romance extravangaza and book fair called Love is on the Air (and no, the verb is never capitalized through the entire novel and it drove me crazy). While the idea is charming, the execution is not believable. The book fair lasts two weeks, and people pay multiple times to see the same authors, over and over again. I live in a city with a very popular and huge yearly book festival, and this fictional book fair is nothing like it. As would be expected, one of the romance authors is killed, and Fern has to solve the mystery to save her business and the fair's success. This was mild entertainment, but I have no desire to re-visit Fern Valley and go glamping.

It was cute and easy reading. I enjoyed it. The writing was good. It was the perfect story to read in halloween. It is between romance and mystery. I love how the author combined these different elements. But sadly, I didn't liked any character. There were many to feel connected by anyone. If I had cared about any character, I'd love more this story. But, I'll read more about this author because I like how she writes.

Such a cute cosy thriller, perfect for those wanting a quick read. There are lots of characters and I found it a little hard to keep track but this is possibly because I haven't read the previous 2 books in the series? Overall really enjoyable and would definitely recommend.

This book had a great concept. I felt it was slow reading. I prefer something that is fast paced or medium. There are many cast members to remember throughout the story as well. I had to put the book down at 40%. It did not hold my attention.

Thank you netgalley and publisher for the chance to review this book early!

This was cute. I feel like there were too many character to keep up with which made me a little overwhelmed.

Overall, I did enjoy this and would recommend to family and friends.

I would rate this 3.5/5 stars

Such an adorable valentines day read. I try to scorer books for the season at book stores and this should have been front and center on any holiday display,

However, the cast was a bit too big to keep track of everyone and some characters felt underutilized. I did have a little note to help keep track of who was who,

Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I thought the plot of this book sounded interesting, but from the first few chapters I could tell that it wasn’t for me. The writing was repetitive, and there were SO many grammatical and spelling errors.

I picked it up without knowing that it was part of a series. The writing is too amateur with so many unnecessary descriptions and details. The book is set in a small town where there is an event happening for authors. The characters are too boring and one dimensional. The murder happens after about 25% of the book, but it’s still not interesting.

This was such a perfect Valentine's Day read, but genuinely could be read any time of year. I love books about books, so if you're down for a bit of murder, this is going to be great! Also, if you enjoy this, you should check out Look Up, Handsome as well!

Not going to lie Valentine Day is my least favorite holiday and a town that goes all out for it kind of scary. But throw in a murder mystery and I'm hooked.

I was initially drawn into this book by the gorgeous cover but the plot had me hooked from start to finish. Deadlines and Valentines is a cozy mystery set during a book festival in the small town of Fern Valley.

Whilst some of the twists were a little predictable, they were still lots of fun and the array of quirky characters really adds to the story!
