A great beginner guide to bookish social media, this resource will set you up with a solid foundation. Apps, like Canva, to assist in graphics, are very useful. But, if you’ve been in the sphere for a while, this guide will be redundant.

This is a very thorough review of how to not only how to give reviews on many popular platforms, but also how to even create your accounts on the various platforms.

I am rather new on public social media and am still growing. I really appreciate this social media handbook to help me and guide in the hopes of growing my social media platform. The tips in this handbook were really helpful and definitely prepare me better for future content creating. I am excited to continue with my journey as a book reviewer and posting about my reading journey on social media. Thank you We Are Bookish for this helpful guide.

This kit is stratergic, giving insights on how to manage social media accounts and maintain them effectively. I will be immediately implementing these tips to my account! The amazing tricks and tips are worth the shot.

Thanks netgalley for the helpful tips!

I just started an account for my bookish adventures over the weekend so I found this guide at a great time! I loved that there were tips regardless of what platform you choose. I especially loved the ideas for posting audiobooks and ebooks as I was stumped on the best way of doing this. Im very excited to implement these tips!

This guide is a great asset for anyone who wants to start reviewing books on social media. I love how they give tips for every sort of social media out there ans they even give some examples on editing programs you van use to create content with.
The guide is easy to follow and has a lot of useful tips. As host of a bookclub, this guide is the ideal way of growing on Instagram and TheStorygraph.

This was a nicely made guide. Only perused it for instagram tips but I can tell it's well put together for sharing about reviewing books on social media such as instagram, tik tok, blogs, and more.

A very helpful guide for this newish Bookstagrammer. I found some really helpful tips on how to organize and plan posts/content.

This content is truly incredible, and beyond just praising it, I really want to say thank you.
I’m planning to return to social media with more intention and commitment, and this Social Media Handbook not only inspired me but also gave me amazing tips — the kind of guidance that’s hard to come by, especially with such thoughtful curation.
It’s definitely going to help me grow and give my book reviews more reach and visibility.

This social media guide is an incredibly valuable resource for anyone interested in book reviewing, whether you're just starting out or already have an established online presence. It offers a thoughtful blend of foundational guidance and advanced strategies that make it useful at any stage of the journey. What really sets it apart is its platform-specific approach—it doesn’t lump all social media together, but instead breaks down how to succeed on Instagram, TikTok, Goodreads, and more, with tailored tips that speak directly to the unique strengths and audiences of each platform.
The sections on BookTok and Bookstagram are especially helpful, offering actionable insights into how to create eye-catching, engaging content that resonates with the reading community. Whether you're looking to film compelling videos, take scroll-stopping photos, or craft meaningful captions, the guide provides step-by-step suggestions to boost your creativity and confidence.
It also covers the fundamentals of writing and sharing book reviews, from tone and structure to when and where to post them for maximum reach. I found the photo and book promotion strategies particularly useful—there are great tips for improving your visual branding, using hashtags effectively, and collaborating with authors or publishers in an authentic way.
One of my favorite aspects is the inclusion of helpful, clickable links to additional tools, templates, and tutorials. These bonus resources make it feel like you’re not just reading a guide—you’re being actively supported in your growth as a content creator. Whether you want to polish your aesthetic, increase engagement, or simply feel more confident navigating the digital landscape, this guide provides everything you need to build a strong, engaging, and authentic presence online. Highly recommended!

The Social Media Handbook is a useful tool for book reviewers just starting out on social media. It covered both general tips for posting on social media and growing your reach, as well as platform-specific advice tailored to each site. If you're familiar with social media some of the advice may be redundant, but I was still able to get some useful tips and tricks from the guide! I especially appreciated the section on making content accessible, as this is something that is often overlooked.
Overall, if you are looking for some beginner-friendly tips for creating bookish social media accounts I think this guide is worth checking out.

A superb starter kit for using social media to promote books and engage with the Bookish community. It definitely gave me some great ideas.

This Social Media Handbook is a must read for online presence and engagement throughout the most popular platforms.
The tips and tricks are often updated, so this one will stay on my radar for when I need some inspiration for a new Instagram post or when I need some freshening up on the type of review to post on which platform.
This handbook also has many hyperlinks to the We Are Bookish blog, which I will also keep on following to stay up to date on all things reviews and social media presence.
I really appreciate We Are Bookish to provide us with these insights!

A social media handbook for ARC reviewers just starting out is genius. Thank you, once again! Covered topics pretty consistently.

This is super valuable beginners guide but also a nice review for those who have been around for a.while.

This was informative for a newcomer to NetGalley! I’m a star reviewer on Goodreads and share with my book club members.

This is a nice guide to using social media for book reviewers. There is a lot of great information about the various ways to post with good do and don't do tips

NetGalley's Social Media Handbook is an absolutely fantastic and thoughtfully presented resource for those of us starting out our social media book review journeys. This handbook has tips and tricks not just on how to write a book review, but it has a fantastic by-platform breakdown with helpful checklists and etiquette dos and don'ts.
I was especially impressed with the hashtag tips and accessibility considerations - both of which I hadn't really thought about, but absolutely will do going forward!

This was helpful for someone who is getting started with reviewing ARCs from Netgalley. I liked that there were tips and suggestions on what to include in reviews, editing tips and photo tips. It would be helpful to know more about finding information on what the publisher wants. For example, I don't get acceptance emails from Read Now books, so I'm not sure where to find the review instructions from the publisher.
Overall, this was a helpful document.
