NetGalley's Social Media Handbook is a very comprehensive explanation of what needs to be done to stay on top of your game and increase the likelihood of getting to read more AC. It was a little daunting to me as I'm not a huge social media person and I appreciate the tip that not everything has to be done all at once. I would encourage anyone new to NetGalley to read this.

This is a great social media guide for book reviewers. It is primarily for those who want to start a book account on social media, but there are tips for sharing on platforms like Goodreads and The Storygraph, retail sites, and blogs. If you are new to NetGalley or looking for a refresh for your reviews, this is a great read.

This is a goldmine for any bookish content creator—whether you’re just getting started or looking to sharpen your strategy. The NetGalley Social Media Handbook breaks down the unique ins and outs of Bookstagram, BookTok, BookTube, and book blogging, offering platform-specific dos and don’ts that make sense.

I appreciated how it goes beyond the basics with sections on equipment, editing tools, how to introduce yourself, and how to build real engagement. It also includes solid tips for cross-posting reviews, promoting content effectively, and planning ahead so you’re not scrambling for ideas.

Plus, the walkthroughs on Canva, photo editing, and content planning were super practical, especially for anyone trying to create polished posts without spending hours.

Whether you're a mood reader trying to stay consistent or a planner mapping out review content weeks in advance, this guide is full of useful, actionable advice. Definitely recommend for fellow book influencers who want to show up with confidence online.

This handbook would be really helpful for anyone just starting out in their social media career. It gives you tips on how and what to post on social media, and it also gives tips on how to make your posts cohesive across all of the platforms you are going to us.

I received an ARC of “NetGalley’s Social Media Handbook,” by We Are Bookish from NetGalley and We Are Bookish in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

This was a super helpful guide to get started with sharing reviews, recommendations, and other fun commentary on socials! I think there is so much critical information here that helps to get started AND helps you to continue on your social media journey.

I greatly appreciate how many social etiquette things are called out in this guide. I feel like many folks are still learning these things, because these online spaces have their own rules for etiquette that often diverge from real-life etiquette!

I also love that this book offers a lot of options for content ideas, posting consistently, and building/supporting the community you build! As a "baby bookstagrammer" who doesn't post too often, I know my account won't grow exponentially. However, I still want to go a good job when I do have the ability and time to post! I really enjoy the small community I've built so far, and this book has really helped me to do that!

Your 2024 Social Media Handbook stands as an exceptional complete guide which proves highly useful for readers. A few highlights and suggestions:
The Platform 101 Checklists received my full appreciation.
The detailed step-by-step instructions for Bookstagram BookTok and BookTube provide users with clear and immediate action steps.
Great Emphasis on FTC & Etiquette
The guidelines about disclosure statements and proper tagging practices are crucial for new reviewers to follow.
Inclusion of Repurposing Strategies
Book advocates who lack time can transform their lengthy reviews into threads and reels and carousels through this method.
Areas for Enhancement
The handbook would benefit from real-world case studies which present before/after statistics to demonstrate impact.
The handbook would reach its next level if it included a short section about tracking growth metrics that extend beyond basic engagement metrics such as referral clicks and story swipe rates.
The handbook would benefit from showcasing a few leading BookTok and Bookstagram creators who demonstrate how to use the toolkit to inspire new users.
The Handbook provides essential guidance to users. Your dedication to help bookish communities grow is greatly appreciated.
