This handbook is digestible and to-the-point, with practical tips. Having grown up with social media, I perhaps get a bit jaded when it comes to advice on how to use it since I take it for granted. This was great for getting back to basics. Running a bookstagram/tube/tok is different from running a personal social media, and there were some fantastic tips for how to customize your page for the platform you’re using, to make your page pop, and tricks for efficient cross-posting. When trying to make a name for yourself, there can be a lot of pressure to be on every platform and to make every post unique, but that can become overwhelming, so I liked that it broke down the different strengths of each platform and advised that you could pick just whichever one(s) suit the kind of content you want to make. I loved that it included easily accessible links for more information, and listed other specific resources to go to for graphics and photo editing. All around very thorough, while leaving room for your own touch.
Thank you We Are Bookish for the review copy! I leave my review honestly and voluntarily.

Sehr gutes Handbuch und super Tipps. Eine Deutsche Version bezogen auf den deutschen Markt wäre ebenfalls toll.

Short but super handy guide for new NetGalley users. It offers clear insights on how to write reviews and share them across different platforms.

Loved this quick guide!! As a new NG member and relatively new booktuber, I wanted to make the most of my ARC review journey from the start. This is as a great starter guide and now that I’ve been approved for my first ARCs I can’t wait to get started!

Very straightforward and informative. A good insight as to how creators should format and model their reviews for various platforms. Much appreciated

I love when NetGalley gives us guides! Super helpful for a newer reviewer like myself. I find myself coming back to this when I am posting bookish content even outside of NetGalley reviews.

A short, tip- and resource-filled reference for getting started with posting book reviews on Social Media. Includes both general tips, platform-specific suggestions, and offers ideas for tools to use to make the process easier. Very useful to keep on hand and refer back to.
Even experienced reviewers should be able to find something interesting and useful in this guide.

I've had bookstagram for over a year now and found here a couple of useful tips in this handbook. I'll refer to it from time to time to audit my account and content!

For all people who are associated and/or aspire to talk about books and write about your interactions with a book and share the same across social media then We are bookish publications and blogs are a mandatory go-to user manual to hone this art.
The books have helped me in structuring my reviews instead of the passionate rants or odes that I used to write when I first started a few years back.
This social media handbook is another strong entry to help prospective book reviewers to connect with social media successfully. It gives a complete overview as well as how to go about it for several popular social media.
A perfect book for beginners and also for people who are not able to get a feel of the process.

The social media side of book reviewing is definitely my weakest link, so I really appreciate this resource for offering clear tips and tricks on how to get started (and how to actually improve once you’re there). I’m a lover of books first and foremost, and that passion doesn’t always translate easily to technology. This guide feels like a solid starting point to bridge that gap, and I’m hopeful it will help me strengthen both my presence online and my contributions as a reviewer.

Thank you We Are Bookish and Netgalley for this great social media handbook!
I really appreciated all the information and great graphics. It was clear and concise!
As I've started to think about and begin to make my own book related social media page this was a great guide.

Very useful and helpful information if you are (like me) new to the book reviewing world across different platforms!

This is an excellent resource for book reviews looking for advice and a guide to strategize on how to implement their reviews onto their social channels. The Table of Contents is vast and is clickable/linked so you can easily jump into a certain section.
The handbook includes different social medias, a getting started section, book review tips, strategies, and resources. It's very informative 35 page read. The handbook is perfect for those getting started and even the more seasoned reviewers can still benefits on the tips and strategies to help continue to grow their platforms. I liked that it just doesn't focus on one social media site but different mediums. The don't section while seems obvious, it's easy to sometimes forget or overlook like not tagging authors in negative reviews. It includes some suggestions like free apps to use for editing like Canva and Snapseed.
Overall, it makes getting starting on your bookish theme socials less intimidating. It's truly an invaluable tool to up one's social media game.
