Solid fantasy retelling. I really enjoyed this and I'm so pleased that Sel got a happy ending. I did find it really hard to empathise with Violanna - I feel like she treated both her daughters terribly!

A beautiful reimagining of sleeping beauty. I really enjoyed this book, there were lots of POV but I enjoyed that aspect. The story was really enjoyable and kept me intrigued throughout. I would recommend this book to my friends as it was a really lovely read.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author & the publishers for an advanced copy of this book. This has been a FANTASTIC read, and a great twist on the Sleeping Beauty fairytale. A really solid debut into the genre. The multiple POVs can take some time to get used too/get your head around, but after 50-100 pages, I was really enjoying the views of all the different women involved with the story.

I loved the style of this author and also the characters. Highly recommended and thank you to netgalley and the publishers for giving me a copy of the novel.

A fantastic re telling of sleeping beauty which is a story I adore. This book was insane! It was twisted, it was gripping but it was so darn good! Wow!…

This was a nice wee retelling that was certainly different from other retellings. The only issue for me was that the ending seemed very rushed after it taking quite a while to get there.

A gorgeously atmospheric Gothic fantasy that had me hooked from the first page to the last! I loved all the characters and the way their stories came together. Georgia Taylor creates a great sense of magic and mystery in her writing, as well as female characters who don’t rely on the normal saviours - or literary tropes - to make their way to the sensational end of the story. An author to watch.

This is a re-telling of sleeping beauty that changes quite a lot from the story we all know and love.
Although loads changed and we are following more than one character, I wasn't completely hooked throughout and I think the finale was a bit lacklustre.
It is a good debut book that's a quick read.
Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for an eARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

A beautiful and atmospheric fairytale rendering. Loved the characters and nuances of the story as well as the style of writing which made the read even better for this fall season.
