A sweet yet mostly predictable story. An easy read that doesn’t require too much emotional energy.
The FMC, Gwen (a DOCTOR), is engaged to a stage actor, Caleb. Whiile attempting to hide their upcoming Christmas Eve wedding, their closest allies ( a publicist and a bodyguard, respectively) are an enemies to lovers situation.
I did not read the first book, but I get the sense that Gwen and Caleb are more of an afterthought. I get that the story continues from the first novel, but Dean and Jenny’s story is much more engaging and fun. I would have preferred less Gwen and Caleb and more Jenny and Dean.
Although I preferred one story over the other, the different POVs did make the story move faster, which is a blessing. The plot of the story is able to move along with the movement of the relationships.
There are a few elements of the story that seemed unnecessary, am a little unsure why there needed to be an antagonist to Gwen but maybe if I had read the first book, it would fall into place.. I can honestly say the story was good enough that I want to go back and read the first. For some reason I didn’t realize this was book 2 in a series, otherwise I would have prepped by reading it first!

Loved this book! So many swoony moments, had me grinning and laughing out loud and kicking my feet. I especially enjoyed Jenny and Dean's story. They were pretty much enemies to lovers which is my favorite trope. I'm so glad that she came out of her shell and began to love herself. ❤️
Christmas is my favorite holiday so I'm so glad to have been able to read this. Even though this book takes place during the Christmas holiday, it can still be read any other time. Pacing of the story is good, so it was a fun and fast read. This book was written in two different POV, Gwen and Jenny's. I really love reading different POV.
This book also comes with some trigger warnings. I appreciate when authors do this. It definitely helped mentally to prepare myself to read the book.
One last thing- I read the spicy version, which I would rate about 2-2.5 🌶🌶. There is a closed-door version. I honestly didn't know authors do this! How awesome!
Highly recommend!

I loved the story of Gwen and Caleb falling in love and I was so excited so see a second book in the series announced. I think it definitely helps to have read the first book, but it had been a little bit since I read it, and I don’t feel like I had to read the two books back to back. I loved the addition of Dean and Jenny’s story to this book and how all four characters were woven together. The mystery throughout really moved the plot along and I liked how it wasn’t just a perfect romance story; there were several other things going on. I loved how Gwen was presenting at a conference (go women in STEM!) and how Caleb supported her goal. I loved how Dean and Jenny worked together and really got to know each other more. Overall this was a really fun read that I didn’t want to put down once I got into the heart of the story! 4.5⭐️, 2🌶

While I had not read the previous book in the series, Holiday Star, it was easy to jump into the world of Holiday Wedding. The best friends, Gwen and Jenny, had a wonderfully supportive dynamic, and it was fun to see one get married while the other fell in love with bodyguard Dean.
The book is a fun, holiday read, but it touches on a variety of serious subjects such as PTSD, mental health and cancer research. I really enjoyed the book's combination of holiday cheer and thoughtful issues. I especially appreciated the content warnings, so that readers could ensure that they protected their mental health. I also enjoyed that this book contained romantic heroines who are dedicated and passionate to their career, making them better rounded than many romance novel heroines
I found the book incredibly enjoyable, and I would love to see the two books bundled together in future, so as to more easily enjoy the series.

I really enjoy Dr. Melissa Dymond's books.....they have a little bit of everything! An easy to follow story, filled with a little bit of romance, mystery and spice. Although this book is set around Christmas, it can be read any time of year.
(I received a complimentary ecopy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.Thank you Netgalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and Dr. Melissa Dymond.

Super cute read! I loved the progression of relationships between Jenny and Dean and Caleb and Gwen. The battles they overcame to become stronger themselves and together was heartwarming. The mystery will have your jaw on the floor! I would definitely read more about the couples in future books 🧡

I have read every book Melissa has written and I love Them every time.
I also love that she has a spicy and a sweet version of her books so all of her readers can enjoy her books.
The characters are well written and I can’t wait for her next one!

I'm so glad I finally caught up on some ARCs I was meant to read - October was mostly spooky season but I'm so glad I took a breath! I find I can be very picky about what I consider to be a "five star romance", because I like some of the common romance tropes but I don't have much patience for when books edge into the realm of TOO corny.
This book, my friends, did not - and I am definitely going to be sourcing more of Dr. Melissa Dymond's books!
Definitely 5 star, and the best ARC I've read in recent days.
I love the main character Gwen - her determination, her realness, if that makes sense - and how relatable enough she is. I also love the dynamic she shares with Caleb.
The great thing about this book is how important and lovable all the other characters are too - the slow build between Dean and Jenny, the influence on the mothers in the wedding, Gwen's brother and her valuable work in cancer research... Though I read this on my kindle it is definitely a page turner. There are big plot points to keep you wanting to know more - how will the wedding go, if it even happens? What will happen to the different romances in the story? How will Gwen and Caleb transition their meaningful careers into one future? And WHO is stalking Caleb?
Definitely pick this up if you get it, it's a well-written romance with just the right amount of heat!
And who doesn't love to read holiday romances?

This sweet and charming holiday read delivers the perfect mix of romance, spice, and suspense. I loved the dual POV format, following both Gwen and Jenny’s stories as they prepare for Gwen's wedding. The twist of suspense with Gwen's fiancé having a stalker added extra intrigue and kept me hooked. With just the right balance of romance and holiday spirit, this is a delightful read for the season. Definitely add it to your TBR if you're looking for a heartwarming holiday escape!

A holiday rom-com with a dash of stalker suspense? Yes, please! Don’t get me wrong. I love a festive rom-com, but sometimes I’d like a little bit more with my holiday reads. “Holiday Wedding” by Melissa Drymond was a refreshing seasonal read that provided a dash of something more.
Not only do we get the story of Gwen and Caleb and all of the stumbling blocks that tumble into their way to hijack their wedding plans, but we get two additional romances as well. Rejoining the fray from Holiday Star (book 1), we see where Alvina and Wayne have left off. I hadn’t read book 1 yet and wasn’t impacted by reading book 2 as a standalone. Where Gwen and Caleb’s chemistry immediately creates a roaring fire packed with heat suitable for surviving any blizzard, Jenny and Dean provide the perfect cup of slow burn.
There’s just so much to love in this one! Dual POV, slow burn, spice, suspense, mental health representation, and of course festive vibes. Thank you, NetGalley, Dr. Melissa Dymond, and Victory Editing for providing the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the love stories within this book. We continue following Gwen and Caleb as they get ready for their wedding and it seems like everything is going wrong. We also follow Dean and Jenny as Jenny comes to realize her deep feelings for Dean, feelings he’s had all along. The tropes in this book include: one bed, forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine, snowed in, he falls first and so many more! We also get a mystery aspect as they try and uncover who Caleb’s mystery stalker is! This is the perfect read with the holiday season coming up, and I highly recommend it!

This book was cute! I didn’t read the first book so didn’t connect that well with the first couple. I loved the suspense aspect and really liked that the author has a non-spicy version that you could read as well!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the dual POV being two besties and not a couple. The two went together so well and it didn’t feel like two completely different stories.
Gwen and Caleb were such a cute couple. I loved them. I enjoyed the fact that they weren’t the “perfect” couple and that they grew frustrated with one another at certain points. When it came to Caleb’s stalker, I was a little surprised, so I really liked that.
Jenny and Dean had me laughing with their banter. I liked reading how their relationship evolved over course of the book. My heart broke for Dean and some of the struggles he’s had to and still has to deal with. I did find myself crying at one point.
Overall, I loved this book. I loved how we got a Christmas romance, mixed with some suspense and a dual POV. This book takes place over two weeks and it was done very well. I don’t feel like anything was rushed. What I also really love about this book is that it does come with two different versions. There is a spicy book and a sweet book. So, if spice isn’t your thing but you still want to read, there is a sweet, closed-door version. I would recommend this book!
Thank you Dr. Melissa Dymond, Netgalley and Haylingbookstorm PR for the ARC for an honest review.

Holiday Wedding review
● Romance
● Spicy (Right from the start)
● Dual POV
● Bit of Mystey thrown in
● Enimies to lovers
I really enjoyed this, I read as stand alone haven't read the first. Love both female main characters. Easy read.
The story is of two friends (dual POV) Gwen is about to get married to a celebrity but things don't go so smoothly, especially when they have a stalker.
Jenny is a reporter & Gwens best friend who is asked to cover Gwen & her husband to be Caleb which isn't always easy. Caleb is always with his bodyguard and him & Jenny don't get on however come together to try figure who the stalker is.
This book kept me wanting more.
I'd rate it 4 stars

We love a bestie dual POV love story <3 I think Dean and Jenny have my heart! I also enjoyed the spice level of this book as well, just the right amount for me. I unfortunately did not have a chance to read Holiday Star (Book 1) in this series, and it did not hinder my ability to enjoy this read! (But BRB going to go snuggle up with Holiday Star now!)
some things that I loved:
Getting snowed in
Grumpy/sunshine
Him falling first
Get in the feel-good holiday spirit with this book!

I loved the first book in this series and this one is also entertaining. Gwen and Caleb are planning to get married at Christmas. After loving these two in the first book it was nice to see they are heading toward marriage except there are a few obstacles in their way. Get ready for Jenny and Dean to find love in this book with some complicating events happening for them too. If you’re in the mood for a holiday romance or two check this one out. Even though this is book two it can definitely be read as a stand-alone but I do recommend you read the first one too.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Author Dr. Melissa Dymond for the early copy!
I know the focus in this book is mainly Gwen and Caleb’s wedding but for me Dean Maddox stole the whole show! So I’m gonna need a whole Dean and Jenny story asap 😅.
I loved that little added mystery incorporated where you’re trying to put the pieces together like in a game of Clue. I picked up on the clues immediately and had it solved BUT there was a plot twist. And even though I had it right my jaw still dropped when everything was revealed!
There was also another little mystery I was starting to put together as the story went along and I was so excited to see my instincts were right 😍🥰
Loved the bonus chapter at the end! The next book I believe we will get to see more of Teddy and I already know it’s gonna be HOT! 🥵

4.5 stars!
Holiday Wedding is a dual POV (Gwen and Jenny), swoon-inducing, page-turning, holiday romance. Read if you like enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, grumpy-sunshine, snowed in, one bed, found family, and pulse-pounding suspense.
I haven’t read a book by Melissa and now that I have, I’m hooked. I did not read Holiday Star (book 1) and it did not impact me in being able to read/enjoy this book. It does make me want to read it now that I’ve read book two because I need more of these characters!
I loved how Melissa wrote dual POVs of FMCS and their stories. Watching Gwen and Caleb, who are already in love, face the chaos of wedding planning in a blizzard (plus a stalker!) was such a wild and thrilling journey. Then there’s Jenny, Gwen’s best friend, who is reunited with her old nemesis, Dean, who also happens to be Caleb’s bodyguard. And that built in tension that slowly fades away as they open up to each other is so swoon worthy!
If you’re in the mood for a holiday romance that’s steamy, suspenseful, and tons of fun, Holiday Wedding is perfect. It’s got the right balance of spice, sweetness, and mystery—ideal for curling up in the transition for those cold winter nights!

I love Dr. Melissa Dymond’s writing! I fell in love with Caleb and Gwen in book 1, 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓. I was so excited to be able to see their love evolve in this new book!
It was such a treat to have a dual love story taking place between Gwen’s reporter bestie, Jenny, and Caleb’s grumpy bodyguard, Dean. I am a sucker for a broken hero and Dean’s backstory is heart breaking. I really loved the angsty tension between him and Jenny!

Gwen and Caleb showed a few growing pains as they grew together as a couple heading towards their wedding day. I really felt like it was a realistic take on a true relationship. Couples aren’t always going to agree, and you have to find your new normal as a unit. The ending of this book seriously gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series, 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆, which is about Gwen’s younger brother!

"No one's life is perfect. No one is happy all the timr. It's okay to be human."
In this sequel, the story of Gwen and Caleb continues as they prepare for their wedding scheduled during the holiday season. As the date came closer, they encountered unexpected obstacles, including the snowstorm (which resulted in Gwen's delayed flight back to New York) and Caleb's stalker. Those elements add drama and suspense to their wedding preparation. And what I liked about this book was that aside from the main character's love story, we also got to follow Jenny's and Dean's and their histories as former adversaries transform into the classic enemies to lovers romance. That also adds emotional depth and humor to the story, making it engaging because of their natural chemistry. I loved the banter and tension between them.
Dr. Melissa Dymond's writing style for the dual POVs works perfectly and commendable because readers were able to get both Jenny's and Gwen's perspective on how they handle conflicts in love, career, and life as a whole.
While this is the sequel to Holiday Star, it can be read as a standalone because Dr. Dymond did a fantastic job in reiterating events and characters, which makes the current events in this book easy to follow. With that being said, if you're into the grumpy x sunshine and enemies to lovers trope or you're looking for a perfect holiday romance read with a little bit of suspense, Holiday Wedding is perfect for you!
Congratulations and happy pub day @melissadymondauthor 🎉💖✨️ Thank you so much, @netgalley and @victoryeditingngc for the ARC. I received an ARC of this book for free, and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.
