this story was just absolutely beautiful 🥹 The friends to lovers aspect was perfect. There’s so many layers in this book with Dex and Lennox and with Dex’s grandmother, Dottie and the man that got away 🥺 Dottie’s POV were so sweet but broke my heart at all the same time 😩

This was my first time reading this author.
The plot was interesting, not a cut and dry marriage of convenience. There were a lot of side characters and moving parts. Lost love, betrayal, friends to lovers and secrets…. so many secrets.
The story is told from several POV. The beginning was different, the middle part was clunky and the ending felt a bit rushed. All loose ends were tied up, no lingering mysteries. I will admit, I saw the twist coming right out of the gate. Despite all that I did enjoy the story.

Snapshot offers a rich story with loveable characters that have you cheering for their success. The story jumps in to the plot quickly and you can feel the passion and slow burn of Lennox and Dex. You get to know the characters as friends before they are lovers and learn their history in the “snapshots” of flashbacks throughout the book. I had a love/hate with those scenes as at times it was such an abrupt shift to go backward, but in other instances it made sense to further the plot to put them where they were. I loved seeing the push and pull of Lennox and Dex fighting their attraction and getting to know them through their faults and seeing why they were fighting through those snapshots, but almost wished it was done at the front end then did the time jump to the rest of the book.
While I liked the book overall, I feel the last third of the book was rushed and I am missing greater details of the story. I got to know the characters through chapters and chapters of why they end up in their marriage of convenience, for it to only be kind of glossed over in order to get to the end. I wanted to see more of Lennox taking on a role in the company, or at least trying, and feel the tension between the board/staff. Also, I feel that if Dex was so in love with Lennox, he wouldn’t have kind of completely ignored her after they were married. It was a little strange. Like any good story with a HEA, they figured out what needed to be done to truly be happy with each other, with some help form Dex’s deceased grandmother in the form of love letters. I was very interested in the grandmothers story, and was hoping for more of her background or scenes with her in the book, or even her own story as she was a character with lots of secrets of her own.
If you like a nice slow burn, marriage of convenience and a just a little spice, I would recommend checking Snapshot out.

Dual Dive into Love
The chemistry was overflowing between Dex and Lennox from the pitch jar on. I learned so much about the infamous fish collector, Dex, and his family throughout. Lennox will take your heart as she proves she will do anything for the people she loves.
The interconnections of this dual love story broke my heart, sent me to the moon and mended itself in the end. Kay beautifully incorporated sacrifice and what it truly means to love someone through thought provoking actions.

Thank you NetGalley and Kay Cove for the chance to read this.
I loved Dex and Lennox. I loved their first time meeting, their friendship, and their story.
Some parts felt expected, like the deceit and twists, I saw coming from the beginning. But I loved learning about Dottie, Jacob and Harrison. I’m sad we didn’t get see more of Melody’s story, but what we did get from the letters and Dex was beautiful enough.
There’s moments I felt sad for Lennox, but I am so happy the love and friendship was enough to overcome the BS.
The spice was spicing, the romance was romancing, and while I still love Flynn more, I loved learning Dex a lot too.

A sweet romance with elements of friends to lovers, marriage of convenience, billionaire romance, and found family.
Lennox at the beginning is stand offish and seems to have a run of bad luck, I struggled to connect with her initially.
Dex is the opposite. Has had everything he could possibly wish for and even gets fired to live in Las Vegas following his dream to be a dive instructor thanks to Dottie his beloved, and boss woman, Grandma while she runs their cruise ship company.
Lennox and Dex’s first meeting was a bit awkward, but once you move past the flash back and see how their relationship is at present, you can see the chemistry.
I did feel for Alan (did anyone else picture Alan from the Barbie movie? 🤣), he seemed like a walking green flag, he breaks up with Lennox so she “doesn’t have to break his heart” and within a week she’s married her male best friend and moved to Miami - awkward!
I called Denny out immediately, surely we all knew she was the snake in the grass setting Lennox up left right and centre, and I hated her for it! I was so pleased that her storyline ended abruptly with her getting nothing…. Well except the family home because Dex felt bad for her (bless him).
Ultimately, this book has lots of tension, twists, and turns, it’s a good read albeit it takes a while to get into the flow of the story.

I have read most of Kay Cove’s books and I have loved every single one. This was no exception. I’ll keep reading everything she publishes. Love this author!

What a journey that Lennox and Dex go on. The deceit, lies, love and shenanigans are plentiful and are also tied in with the right amount of steam. I really enjoyed taking this trip with them both.

Wow A great romance. Loved that is changed perspective from Dex to Lennox without losing any of the sexual tension the two were giving off. We watched as they both fell in love even through their lives were in a mess at that time. There's so many great things about this book way it was written is great so original.
Thanks

Wow, so, so good. I knew this book would be great when just the first chapter made me cry! This story is all about love: how important it is to find, how we need to cling to it, and what it means in our lives. This is one of those sweetly philosophical romances where you feel like you've been imparted some great wisdom by the end. Dex and Lennox were amazing together and I loved how much they loved each other!
🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 for some smoking hot scenes that were the cherry on top of a great story! Looking forward to reading more from this author for sure.

Omg! This book was so good. I literally devoured it. Their chemistry, banter, & just friendship between them was so good. Even some chapters had me on the edge of my seat while putting pieces together with the letters she found. Definitely recommend.

This book is hands down 5⭐️
I absolutely loved this book. Lennox and Dex as characters are well written as you follow along on their journey to finally become a couple full of love and passion, and the spice doesn’t disappoint.
The way the author has written the book with flashbacks to when the couple met, while also intertwining the past of his grandmother makes for an excellent read. I couldn’t put this book down, reading it in just over a day and would recommend to anyone looking for a friends to lovers.

I had to DNF this book after only a few chapters. The writing comes off amateurish and I felt like I was wasting my time. Lennox comes off really unlikeable straightaway. I can deal with a FMC being a little off putting, but Lennox was overboard unlikeable. Her entire attitude from not caring that she lost a job to her trying to immediately seduce Dex. Dex seems likeable and kind, but it hit wrong when he went from being nice to Lennox to suddenly talking about wanting to watch her shower. And h\is first rejection of her felt odd.

OMG…. Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down.
This is the first time I’m hearing about this author…. I will definitely be stalking for more books but this author.
Omg get your bibs ready… very drool worthy!!

This was so so so good! Once I started, I couldn't put it down. Cove has a way of just pulling you into the story. Our MMC isn't swoon worthy, he's drool worthy! The writing was phenomenal, as usual. And the spice...just perfect.

I love slow burn romances like this! The plot keeps you guessing and the relationship build up is so sweet and perfect. I need to get a physical copy for my shelf asap.

Thank you to netgalley for allowing me to arc read this amazing story.
4.25 read for me ... I fell in love with this book and the characters so fast ! Dex, the billionaire heart throb , and Lennox, just a beautiful average woman with a big heart ❤️ when Dex's grandmother , the owner of the multi-billion dollar company , passes away , she leaves the company to Dex but only if he is married. She always wanted him to live more than just a corporate life . She wanted him to find love and enjoy the little things in life. The sparks between Lennox and dex were flying from the moment they met .
The slow burn romance between them was so well written . The twists and turns in the story keep you thinking the whole story. I loved it so much. Haven't read a sweet romance novel with substance and heart. Lessons in love and money and family are perfection in Snapshot.

4 stars! I loved loved loved this book! Lennox was a strong, fun, yet totally human FMC who put herself out there on several occasions and never let anyone dictate what she did even when she was totally out of her element. And Dex - swoon! He was so confident and demanding yet incredibly caring and clearly devoted to all things Lennox.
I was happy that the friends-to-lovers transition wasn’t drawn out and thought the pacing of the story was good. I would have liked to see a little more development of the secondary characters because I liked several of them and would like to explore them a bit more, but overall that was a very minor thought I had while reading.
The spice was spicing, and I ate it up! This was my first Kay Cove book, and I WILL be reading more!
Thank you to NetGalley, Kay Cove, and Victory Editing for the eARC of this book. I am voluntarily providing my honest opinion for this review.

Dex is set to take over the family business when his grandmother Dottie retires. He has been working very hard to be prepared for this eventuality. Much to his surprise, Dottie suddenly fires him and gives him a scuba shop so he can relax more and learn about life in the real world. He meets Lennox and she becomes his best friend. Despite her fears, she learns to dive due to her trust in Dex. When Dex’s beloved grandmother dies, she leaves the company to Dex’s wife. Only problem is…he doesn’t have one. Lennox is the only person he trusts, so she agrees to marry him and become CEO of the company. The board expects her to just be a figurehead, but Lennox has other ideas. The characters are so well developed, and Dottie’s backstory is an added bonus. I’ve never read this author before, but just bought the first book in the series as I liked this one so much.

I found this book a little off-putting, and I'm not exactly sure why. It's a friends-to-lovers romance, but I wouldn't call it a fake marriage trope by any means as both characters have been interested in each other for years, and pretty much immediately are fully on board with being married to each other. It also is a little difficult to read in how it tries to straddle a line between having one of the main characters be a billionaire yet also interested in treating employees right (something that it is pointed out isn't happening in actuality). The flashbacks feel awkward for a reason I'm not entirely aware of, because I've read plenty of books with alternating flashback chapters without any issue. All in all, I'd say it's fine if you're really hankering for a billionaire romance but need something to alleviate the guilt accompanying the fantasy.
For sensitive readers, this book contains references to infidelity, neglect, emotional abuse, financial instability, grief, panic attacks, and graphic sexuality.
