Thank you to NetGalley for providing a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. There's something special about Rochelle B Weinstein's writing and this is the cream of the crop! She has a way of interweaving a story that unfolds so intricately that you really don't see the connections coming...akin to how This is Us unfolds if you've ever watched the show. A group of strangers descend upon a bed and breakfast property for a week. They arrive with literal baggage of every kind - emotional, physical, etc. buttoned up, showing their good sides. By the end of the week, all secrets have been revealed and the group is bonded for life. I savored this one!

Rochelle Weinstein has written a beautiful novel about love, loss, and second chances. We Are Made of Stars follows eight guests, which include three couples and a mother and daughter duo over the course of a week at the beautiful Vis Ta Vie Inn. The Inn, which is owned by Reneé and Jean-Paul in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, which includes gourmet meals, offers guests an escape from reality for a week.
Over the week, secrets, regrets, and truths will revealed, and their lives intertwined in unexpected ways. Told through multiple points of views, I devoured this book. Not only did Weinstein create the perfect setting, but she created perfect characters that you could not help but feel so invested in as you read their stories. The character development in this book was unlike anything I’ve read before. When I first started, reading, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep track of all of the characters, but it was so easy with how well written and developed each character was, thanks to the strong writing skills of Weinstein! This was such a page turner but also one I just wanted to savor at the same time. Such a beautiful book with so many lovely messages. Rochelle Weinstein is such an amazing storyteller and this book was truly breathtaking.

WE ARE MADE OF STARS by @rochellebweinstein was enchanting! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book follows Jean-Paul and Reneé at their remote inn through a week of entertaining guests. The character list is a motley crew including: Hollywood celebs, a mother daughter combo, a therapist , an astronomer, lawyer, sports agent and a stay at home mom! Each guest chose Vis Ta Vie Inn for their getaway week for various reasons. The common thread is that most are hiding a secret and are about to shock everyone as the the secrets unfold. Jean-Paul is just wanting an extraordinary week and he wish may come true.
This book had a amazing first and last line - it made me turn page after page as I tried to figure out how the stars all align! 🌟 Mixed in with the betrayal, regrets and truths you will find impeccable food and musical references.
Thank you Rochelle for sharing an ARC with Beyond The Pages - it’s on the move to the next impatient reader. This book is out February 25 but available today for Pre-order.
Can’t wait til February?!? Pick up What You Do to Me while you wait.

Secrets abound as a getaway for couples, and a mother daughter bring all this to a head. Secret agendas, secrets and grudges held!
As the week progresses, we learn more and more about the guests!

“We Are Made of Stars” takes place during a drama-filled week at a picturesque Inn where four best friends return to relive the good old days. They are joined by four strangers and all of them will become fast friends by the time the week is over. Who wouldn’t want to spend a week at “Vis Ta Vie”, a beautiful Inn deep in the North Carolina countryside? The name means “Live Your Life” which is what we all should do but sometimes things don’t turn out the way we planned. The guests will be enjoying delicious food, brisk hikes in the mountains and quiet nights looking up at the starry sky. Will they be able to forget about life for a while, or will the drama and heartbreak of reality be too much for them to deal with?
Ms.Weinstein’s characters spoke to me from the very first page and I wanted to know all about them; their secrets, their fears, their favorite songs, and whatever else they wanted to share. Sienna and Adam and Lucy and Henry had been friends since college, Cassidy and her daughter Rosalie (who has a great, big secret) arrived from Chicago, and Penny and Leo, who were married at the Inn 25 years ago, just wanted to enjoy the week without fighting. I held my breath as secrets were revealed, bonds were broken and hearts were shattered. I never knew what could possibly happen next, but what I did know was that I didn’t want the book to end. I read to escape so I can immerse myself in someone else’s life, while also visiting new places, and becoming part of the drama. These characters, with their complicated lives, certainly had me entertained, and isn’t that why we all read in the first place?

Advanced Book Review! Thank you @amazonpublishing and @netgalley for sending me this book for review. Opinions are mine.
“Secrets, lies, and second chances are served up beneath the stars at a picturesque mountain getaway in this powerful novel about love and family.”
I love books that have an ensemble cast and that’s what Rochelle B. Weinstein has done here. This novel follows a cast of ten characters – the two owners and eight guests during a week at the Vis Ta Vie Inn in North Carolina.
Their guests include three couples in crisis: Hollywood celebs Leo and Penny are spending their silver anniversary together while on the cusp of divorce. Lucy, a practical-minded therapist, and Henry, an astronomer with his head in the stars, are struggling to find common ground. And former lawyer and current stay-at-home mom Sienna and charismatic sports agent Adam look perfect but are hiding rifts of their own. Thrown into the mix are self-absorbed single mother Cassidy and her sullen fifteen-year-old daughter, Rosalie.
The owners of the Inn, Reneé and Jean-Paul De La Rue face the daunting decision to close their beloved home for good.
The stage is set for a week of betrayals, regrets, and shocking truths.
This is definitely a character-driven book with Rochelle Weinstein having written it from the point of view of six of the characters. It takes a minute to get all of the characters straight but she manages to create independent, well-defined individuals, and the book is better for seeing it through the eyes of multiple people. I love books set at hold estates and I enjoyed reading about the inn and of course the gourmet meals prepared by Jean-Paul, with the menu at the beginning of each day. This book definitely has some moments of sorrow as well so be prepared.
3.5 Stars Rounded up to 4

WE ARE MADE OF STARS by Rochelle B Weinstein (Out February 25th)
Oh, how I loved this book. It's my favorite one of hers yet!
Reneé and Jean-Paul’s bittersweet decision to close their inn sets the stage for a week full of drama, secrets, and surprising moments of connection.
From Hollywood stars on the verge of divorce to couples struggling to find their way back to each other, every relationship was compelling and layered. Even the side characters, like the teenage Rosalie, brought so much depth and heart to the story.
The characters felt so real, and I truly cared about each of their journeys.
What I loved most was the way this book explored love—not just the romantic kind but the messy, imperfect love that carries people through tough times. It’s heartfelt, emotional, and full of hope. If you enjoy character-driven stories about love and resilience, you’ll adore this one!
Thank you to @Netgalley and @amazonPublishing for the advanced reader copy. All opinions are my own.

Oh how beautiful a story this was. I love this beautiful mountain inn that these couples have gathered to and have come to again and again. The addition of a mother/daughter will bring out some secrets that many have keep from their loved ones. Some have come to try and save what can be saved but at what cost?
Each person in here was written so real and I felt a deep down connection with each one of them. I figured out one of the secrets early on and wondered how that would play out. . While at first a bit rocky, I felt the ending outcome was beautiful. I felt that most of these people got the ending they deserved and it was heartwarming overall.

In the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina is the charming resort Vis Ta Vie. This inn is run by Jean-Paul and Renee, a loving couple who are currently struggling financially and emotionally as to whether they must close for good after the summer season. As they welcome their guests for the week, we meet old college friends who have been coming for years and are hiding explosive secrets that will change their lives forever; a single mom self medicating while she struggles to make her gloomy teenager happy and a handsome famous movie star who desperately wants to reconcile with his lifelong love after a very public fallout. Each day brings adventures on the trails and in the kitchen, but within the beauty we slowly piece together the compelling puzzle. The question is whether their relationships can survive when the truth comes out. Totally reminded me of White Lotus vibes with an array of complex characters who come together at a resort!

We are Made of Stars by Rochelle B. Weinstein was a fun book about many different characters staying at a mountainous inn— all keeping secrets. I enjoyed Roasalie’s story the most. I will be recommending this book as it kept me turning the pages wondering how the story was going to unfold. I love Weinstein’s writing and can’t wait to see what she writes next.

This book captured one of my favorite tropes—the idea of a found family—and it delivered that beautifully. There’s something so comforting about stories that explore the relationships we build for ourselves, and this one hit all the right notes. While I appreciated all the characters, I have to say that Rosalie and Cassidy completely stole the show for me. Their dynamic as a mother and daughter was layered and compelling, offering plenty of emotional moments that really drew me in. It’s rare to see a relationship like theirs so deeply explored, and it added a lot of heart to the story.
On the flip side, I didn’t feel as connected to Leo and Penny. They had their moments, but compared to Rosalie and Cassidy, they didn’t leave as much of an impact. That being said, the overall character development was well-done, and the growth each person experienced felt genuine and satisfying.
The pacing was steady, making it easy to stay engaged, and the setting was absolutely perfect for the story. It felt immersive without being overbearing, and it really added to the overall atmosphere. The drama kept things interesting, and while the plot didn’t completely sweep me off my feet, it had just enough emotional depth to keep me turning the pages.
This is the kind of book I’d recommend as a light, engaging read—perfect for a relaxing afternoon or a beach day. It had its strengths, and I’d absolutely consider picking up another of her books in the future. 3 ⭐.

We are made of stars brings together an unlikely crew of guests at the Vis Ta Vie Inn. Turns out all of them have secrets, regrets and something to learn from their stay. Finding out what each has in common and how they help one another through the week of discoveries, heartbreak and sickness. The characters while so different blend together in a beautiful story of forgiveness, togetherness and growth. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy. Most certainly recommend this great novel.

This book has quite a bit of drama and backstory in it and it was enjoyable reading as everyone worked through their issues. Set in the North Carolina mountains at an all-inclusive inn, the owners of the inn are going through their own conflict, but little do they know that the week's guests are also going through their own issues. Returning guests and new guests are all more connected than you think. Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for a chance to read this one early in exchange for an honest review.

This is my third book by Rochelle Weinstein. I truly enjoyed her other books and this one did not disappoint. I wasn't sure about the "star" theme but there were a few times I really liked it. One quote was "The sky is unpredictable, Kind of like life". The other "sometimes the stars align and sometimes they fly off course and learn to coexist". Both of these struck a cord with me and brought the story together. This is a story of friendship, love, loss, betrayal and motherhood. The center of the story was the Vis Ta Vie Inn where a group of people come together for different reasons. I enjoyed how each character was introduced and loved getting to know each one of them. The author really has a way of bringing the characters to life. I would love to see this as a movie one day.
I would highly recommend this book to my friends and followers.
Thank you NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for this ARC.
I look forward to reading many more books by this author.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author, for an ARC of this book, in exchange for an honest review.
The premise of the book drew me in but once I started reading it, I just couldn’t get into it at all.
I wish the author, publisher and all those promoting the book much success and connections with the right readers.

A small inn attracts quite a collection of boarders. In this story, we are getting a glimpse into every person’s messy life. Told from various perspectives, I found this story was just a bit difficult to follow and didn’t really like many of the characters. However, the author pulls their stories together into a good book!

In the wonderful 𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗦, an eclectic group of people gather for a week-long vacation at a remote country inn, arriving as strangers, but leaving as family.
Rochelle B. Weinstein draws you in from page one, using multiple POVs to tell the story of the Vis Ta Vie Inn, the couple who run it and their guests. Each person is struggling in their own way and it's not long before secrets and hard truths are revealed. There's loss, envy, guilt and forgiveness with surprises I didn't expect, and I found myself comparing it to Liane Moriarty's books - both authors intertwine groups of characters in intriguing and poignant ways.
When I finished reading, I was both touched and hungry - each day starts with the the gourmet menu being served, and the descriptions of the food and cooking are mouthwatering!
Thanks to Get Red PR for the copy to review.

This is a fun book about Bed & Breakfast owners, Jean-Paul and wife Renee as they navigate a series of guests including Cassidy, "goth" daughter
Rosalie, Adam and Sienna, Henry and Lucy, and exes Leo and Penny with daughter, Lucy. Initially they all get along and love Jean-Paul's culinary skills and the hiking they can do on the beautiful grounds. But their pasts are somehow intertwined and soon secrets and lies bubble to the surface. It's tale of complicated families and the lies they tell to protect themselves and their loved ones.
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

3.5 stars!!!! this was my first arc/netgalley read! :,)
one thing about me.... i love a good found family trope... and this checked all the boxes. i enjoyed all of the characters - but leo & penny i wasn't as interested with compared to rosalie & cassidy, for example. but that's bc i also love a complicated mother/daughter relationship (mommy issues anyone???) the character development was SO good here... i would read a book purely of cassidy & rosalie's life after this book
overall i enjoyed this book, i'm a chismosa so i love drama 😭 this would be a great beach read! the setting was perfect for this story, the pacing was good. i would pick up another of rachel's books for sure!
