This is my first book by Jewel E. Ann and I can’t wait to read more from her.

Maren is an air tanker pilot and Ozzy is the mechanic who works on her plane. These two meet in the most awkward of meet cutes, but sparks immediately fly between them.

Ozzy is trying to put his life back together after the death of his wife 2 years ago. His daughter, Lola, is still dealing with PTSD from the car accident that killed her mom and left her severely injured. With so much going on in his life, Ozzy isn’t ready for a relationship but he also can’t resist Maren.

Every time Maren and Ozzy were on the page together, sparks flew. I loved their flirty banter and teasing. I loved all the ways they tried to find stolen moments to be together. I loved that they didn’t shy away from difficult conversations and communicated like adults, even if they were sneaking around like teenagers.

I loved Lola and her relationship with her dad. I loved how he was willing to do anything for her, and just supported her and didn’t push her to heal faster from her trauma. I loved the relationship Lola and Maren developed, it was so sweet and Lola was a big cheerleader for the relationship between her dad and Maren.

I really loved this book, I loved Jewel’s writing and now I need to go back and read book 1 in this series.

I swear, every time I real a Jewel book, I keep thinking that she can't top the last one and then she does. Sunday Morning is a book that I love with my entire soul and now she has to share space with Ozzy and Maren because they were just that good! I'm obsessed with them and their chemistry.

What you'll get:
- Single dad
- She fights fires from the sky!
- Love after loss
- Trauma past
- TENSION...my GOD the tension

I love every single word written within these pages. If you haven't read and fallen completely in love with Jewel, I don't know what you're doing with your life. So, please, get it together. ;)

I can not put into words how much I loved this book. First of all, I have two words, SINGLE DAD. Secondly, said single dad cycles everywhere, so his daughter feels like he's safe. Thirdly, said single dad picks weeds for a date 🥰 - it's so much more romantic than it sounds.

This book had me feeling all the feels, and I could not stop my eyes from leaking.

From No Where follows Maren (who we met in book one) and Ozzy as they navigate loss, grief, dating, and embarrassing encounters. Maren and Ozzy have great banter, sizzling chemistry, and get up to some mischief as they relieve their youth by sneaking around.

Lola, Ozzy's beautiful daughter steals the show though. Her comments and dialogue had me laughing out loud. The relationship she builds with Maren is heartwarming.

These characters captivated my whole attention when reading and I couldn't put my kindle down. Their story will follow me around for a while!

Be still my heart. My love for Ozzy, Maren, and Lola is immesurable. These characters invaded my mind and heart as soon as I started reading From Nowhere, and they aren't leaving any time soon. Nothing could have prepared me for their story and unconditional love. However, it shows once again that Jewel E. Ann is a masterful storyteller.

This book is about grief and second chances in life and love. It is also about understanding, resilience, conquering fears, and living fully. It is a poignant romance that interweaves heartwrenching emotions with clever and impeccably timed humor.

Maren is a badass and fierce air tanker pilot. Ozzy is a single-dad mechanic who lost his wife to a car accident. His love for his daughter knows no bounds. Maren and Ozzy's first unconventional yet hilarious encounter is among the best openings I've read. And last but not least, Lola is amazing. My heart melted with this 10-year-old girl and her open and witty remarks.

I was already in love with the world and the characters created by Jewel E Ann on From Air (book 1 in the series). But now, I'm simply a goner.

I absolutely fell head over heels for Ozzy and Maren! This story gave me the giggles but also brought tears to my eyes. What happened as the most embarrassing meet cute with a bathroom crisis Ozzy and Maren's story begins!

Ozzy lost his wife in a horrible accident that also traumatized his little girl Lola. As we learn more about this daddy daughter duo we see that Lola wants her dad to be happy. That little girl might have stolen quite a few scenes in the story!

Maren an air tanker pilot and Ozzy an aircraft mechanic work together and the attraction is instant. But as with any JEA story it isn't easy.
The complex nature of their relationship was something that they each struggled with.

I will say, Ozzy pissed me off more than once in this story but his flaw was what help led him realize it's ok to live and love again after loss and tragedy.

Thank you Montclair, Jewel and NetGalley for the ARC.

This novel is the second in the Wildfire series. I was a huge fan of the first novel, however this novel was not one I could easily get into. The novel was very insta love feeling, and that is one trope that usually does it for me to get hooked fast but this one didn’t. The chapters were often short and choppy, or abruptly ended.

I thought Ozzy was a bit off as well. I don’t know but I couldn’t imagine him as explained with the way he acted etc.

Overall some will love this novel. It was enjoyable just not a favorite of mine!

This author's books are always solid for me because of the writing. She's a fluid writer who writes poignant dialogue.

We met Maren in From Air and she's a likable character. Ozzy and his daughter Lola are the gems of this story, so much so that Maren kind of took a backseat. Ozzy is almost too perfect except for his living situation. While I don't want to say too much about the actual story, just know that navigating a relationship with a single dad is tricky, especially when his deceased wife's parents live with him and they don't want him to focus on anything other than raising and caring for Lola and the memory of their dead daughter.

My thoughts. It took me 6 days to finish this book. That's an eternity to finish a book by JEA because I usually have those done in 2 days because I just can't stop myself. I was able to put this one down. The last 1/3 of this book saved it for me, mostly because the author finally gave us some drama. I need conflict in my romance and this one was so smooth sailing for so long I was just kind of bored. Not to say this wasn't a good book, it was, but it seemed tame compared to what I have come to expect from this author. Maybe because it's trad published and she's reeling it in for the masses? I dunno, just my thoughts.

I'd still recommend it because it was still enjoyable, just not what I want and crave from this author.

Argh!!! This series, these characters …I can’t tell you how much I love them!

Izzy, Maren and Lola’s story was unputdownable….I am so sad to leave them and yet so happy to have read such a heartwarming story. At times my chest ached for them all, I laughed out loud at not just Maren and Ozzy’s banter or Lola’s sometimes questionable reasoning but oh my goodness Diego had me rolling!!!

Oh my gosh Ozzy…he is just the best kind of guy….the love he has for Lola, the care he takes of Maren while navigating all his own fears and worries…then we have beautiful, gentle hearted Maren. I knew from the first book that she was going to be an amazing character and this talented author has brought her to life in the best possible way.
The pain they share, the friendship that blossoms along with their love was just beautiful to read.
Thank you once again Ms Ann for yet another brilliant cast and a truly insightful journey to love.

“I needed you so fucking long before I ever met you,” he whispers. “You showed up out of nowhere, the way I bet your plane cuts through the smoke to deliver relief. I have felt so much relief since I met you.”

“Humans are pretty because our minds are so filthy.” What a brilliant line and if you want more, you have to read this book now! I totally loved the witty banter between Ozzy and Maren. I liked Maren ever since she appeared in the previous book and here I finally get to see her in her full glory and she is such a wonderful person.

Oswald is totally out of this world. I loved his unique notes and “flowers”. Every one of them was heartfelt and melted Maren’s (and my) heart. Those deep conversations they had always made me feel—sad for their loss, anger for all the what ifs and hope because they are getting closer to each other.

But life is risky, it never turns out the way we expect. While the first half of the book made me chuckle, the second half made me drown in tears. Grab this book now for an amazing plot and characters who make you fall in love with them!

This is my first book by Jewel and certainly will not be my last. This book had the cutest little meet cute, and I was just obsessed with Maren, Ozzy and Lola! I thought all the different emotions, grief and the healing process was handled really well in this story. Loved the secrecy of it all, was constantly waiting to see when it would come out in the open. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I can’t stop reading Jewel E Ann🥰🥰🥰

Me saying that I love a Jewel E Ann book is nothing you haven’t heard before, the way she tells a story just connects with me. She writes stories with vulnerability and honesty that hit you in the feels like no one else can.

Ozzy is a single dad and a widower, and when he met Maren he knew changing his world to include her wasn’t going to be easy, because his life was anything but easy. Maren knew this going in and was up for the challenge because she had never connected with anyone like she did with Ozzy.

Ozzy and Maren’s story is filled with humor, emotion and the perfect amount of heat. Jewel has done what she does so well, and has given us a story that will grab your attention on page one and stick with you well after you read the last page. I will continue to be a fan of her work, it’s the easiest thing in the world.

Jewel Ann's words will hit you like a missile out of nowhere. This story has layers of complicated emotions laid masterfully by the author and mixed and bound by her epic storytelling. Maren and Ozzy made me cry and that's not a surprise. The surprising part is they made me laugh and swoon through the tears. So did Lola, the sweetest and sassiest ten years old out there. It's absolutely amazing how a love story can be brutally angsty and pure light hearted at the same time.

🛩 single dad/ widower dad
🛩 pilot heroine
🛩 Workplace Romance
🛩 forbidden romance
🛩 read the triggers
🛩 angsty and slow burn

Ozzy is barely surviving after death of his wife in a car accident. Taking care of a ten year old girl who is deeply traumatized who refuses to get into any vehicle isn't easy but Lola is his world. He met Maren at the company where he has taken the job of plane mechanic. She is a tanker pilot. From the first meeting, she pushed his buttons and he wants to know her. Lola is eager for her father to date but her maternal grandparents are not ready. Can Maren wait for his life to be sorted? Can Ozzy face the fear of losing another woman he loves?

This story is all about the journey, not milestones. Ozzy and Maren both have an excellent dry sense of humor. And I could read just pages of their witty banter and flirting even if they did nothing else. Ozzy is the unicorn. He is caring and attentive and charming and protective. With just the edge of alpha. His life is a mess. His heart is messed up too. After the devastation of losing his wife and almost losing his daughter, he is finally feeling sparks of life with Maren. She is so sweet and thoughtful and sassy. The best part is she loves Lola instantly and intensely. But with the budding feeling and insane attraction comes the guilt and fear and shame. He had a hard time balancing the best for Lola, appeasing his in laws and not disappointing Maren. She is an amazing woman and she feels every bit if his pain. She was all in and she was ready to keep on pushing through their challenges. Because she realised Lola and Ozzy are special.. She had her fair share of loss and grief and this is her chance to find love. Her accident almost unraveled everything they constructed carefully. I wanted to shake and punch Ozzy for being so stubborn but well his daughter did it on my behalf, metaphorically speaking. He had to let go of his own fears before he could give everything to Maren. And He did. Even if he broke my heart a few times on the way.

ALL THE STARS ⭐!

It has been a hot minute since I've picked up a Jewel E. Ann book. My heart is so happy to have read not one, but two books recently, as her words are a balm to my soul.

I absolutely adored From Nowhere!! After meeting Maren in From Air, I was so excited to read her book next, and Jewel did not disappoint. Ozzy Laster is top-tier book husband material. A cinnamon roll hero, who is also a single dad to the most sassiest of ten-year-olds.

It is a phenomenal, emotionally charged story of facing loss, grief, and finding love again. These characters were truly special, and they now own my heart. Tragic and heartbreakingly beautiful, From Nowhere is a must-read story! I can't recommend it enough. I'm now off to devour more of Jewel's words.

. Jewel E Ann has once again wrote a book about love, fear, grief and overcoming obstacles that you try so hard to figure out how to do it without regressing.
Ozzy is a single dad who lost his wife in a car accident & nearly lost his ten year old daughter. Maren is a sassy, fun, & endearing firefighter pilot who meets Ozzy where he works as a mechanic. After their cute meet & greet they have instant chemistry. They decide to start secretly dating because of complicated in laws & his daughter.
Jewel E Ann writes these complex stories & characters that you love & root for. But it’s never easy as it seems. The struggles that Ozzy goes through by being the best dad he can be & help his daughter but also trying to do something for himself without the guilt. Maren was such a wonderful & understanding FMC, that just wanted to love Ozzy & his daughter and find ways to help them. Jewel E Ann does an incredible job of taking you on their journey and to see how and if they can get through the guilt, grief, & the other obstacles they are facing. I was so committed to these two. My emotions were pulled all over the place and it was journey I didn’t want to end. Jewel E Ann wrote an incredible authentic book about falling in love & dealing with the issues that rise when you are trying to move forward.

I was swooning from the first page and the rest of the book was just as good. Absolutely wonderful characters, communication, comedic relief and so much depth and heart. Such a beautiful book!

This was an adorable story that I thoroughly enjoyed. I appreciated the gradual buildup of tension and the instant chemistry between the characters. The journey of a single father, coping with a tragic accident while learning to love again, was beautifully depicted. The connection, healing, and growth were heartwarming to witness. It was a pleasure to get to know Maren and explore her story! I love getting to learn the main characters with each installment in the series.
I am a huge fan of Jewel E Ann; she is an incredible writer, and I always eagerly anticipate her new releases! I can't wait for the next book in the series.

From Nowhere is Izzy and Maren’s heartwarming and at times heartbreaking story and it’s book two in the Wildfire Series. From the moment I picked this book up I was drawn into the humour and the banter and I knew I wasn’t going to put this book down before the final page was read. Maren and Ozzy’s relationship is complicated but they have some scorching hot chemistry and the banter they share had me laughing along with them. Their story wasn’t easy, it’s about love, loss and at times it’s raw but once you add in Ozzy’s daughter, Lola you get taken to another level. From Nowhere ticked all my boxes, I swooned, I smiled, I giggled and I found myself invested in this couples happiness. It’s a well written, entertaining journey with characters I fell hard and fast for.

Gah! What a great introduction to Jewel E. Ann's books, and I will gladly pick more up.

From Nowhere is the second book in the Wildfire series, and it can totally be read as a stand-alone. It follows Maren and Ozzy’s story. Maren is a badass Aerial firefighter who meets Ozzy in the most unexpected, funny and human way at work. (I won't spoil this but this is one of the reasons why I love this book). Ozzy is an aviation mechanic, who happens to be a widower and single dad to 10 year old Lola.

As soon as Ozzy and Maren interact, they are instantly attracted to each other. Their funny and charismatic personalities compliment each other so well, and there's a playfulness Ozzy can't seem to stop needing at this point of his life. They have to navigate this relationship by a thread, as it has only been 2 years of Ozzy becoming a widow, and Lola's traumatic experience still haunts her in her every day life choices. Maren and Ozzy begin to sneak around like teens again, and they are able to bloom in joy and share the much needed happiness they both need.

Lola is one of the best written kids out there. Her personality is wild and loud, but totally appropriate for her age. I enjoyed every single interaction with her. Ozzy is SUCH a gentleman, he completely blew me away with his attention to detail and thoughtfulness.

What to expect:
✈️Single Dad
✈️Aviation mechanic/Aerial firefighter
✈️Widower
✈️Insta-love (very well done)
✈️Trauma/Comfort
✈️Banter
✈️Slow Burn

Thank you so much ValentinePR & NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book! Absolutely excited to pick up more from Jewel!

I love it when we get amazing dads that do everything that they can for their kids. This book is no exception. Ozzy loves his daughter, Lola, and two years after an accident claimed his wife and dad, they now ride their bikes everywhere. When he goes into the hanger one day, he never expects to meet a beautiful woman that changes his path. Maren is a pilot that helps fight fires in the wilderness. She has always loved what she did and after growing up with her brother who was a firefighter is used to being one of the guys. What she wasn’t planning was to meet a man and his amazing daughter to bring the light back into who she is. This book gives all the feels, and it wouldn’t be a Jewel E Ann book without the moment where the rug feels like it is going to be pulled out from under you. My poor heart stuttered a few times as tears rolled down my cheeks, but there is nothing I wouldn’t do to be able to reread this book for a first time all over again just to get to their ending that is truly magical. I highly recommend this book if you are even considering it.

Jewel E. Ann does it again! I am in shock—this book blew my mind. I've spent hours trying to gather my thoughts, but words fail me. This book is absolutely mind-blowing, spectacular, heartbreakingly beautiful, and so addictive. It’s the first time in a long while that a book has consumed both my mind and soul like this one. I am emotionally spent.

Ozzy, what a character! The way he protects and loves his daughter is unmatched. He's so sweet. And Maren? She’s an absolute gem. I might even have a crush on her! She’s such an empowered, unique woman, unafraid to go after what she wants. And then there’s Lola, who completely stole my heart.
Jewel E. Ann doesn’t make things easy for these characters, my heart shattered into a thousand pieces for them. She masterfully portrays pain and fears in a way that is heartbreakingly beautiful. Those scenes were drenched in raw anguish.

As always, Jewel E. Ann’s poetic narrative pulls you into the story and doesn’t let you go. She once again proves why she is a master at her craft. From Nowhere isn’t just another romance; it’s a poignant exploration of tragedy, pain, friendship, and, above all, love. It shows us how love can shine even in life’s darkest moments
