This book is beautifully written and truly pulls at your heartstrings. I loved the first book in the series, but I think I love this one even more! I’m a sucker for a good single-dad and love-after-loss romance. The way they met had me laughing and smiling—I loved it.
Maren is brilliant. This woman was so patient, respected his past and boundaries, but never gave up the chase. I loved that she was the one pursuing him. Ozzy was intrigued from the start, but since he hadn’t dated since his wife passed, he wasn’t sure how to respond and sometimes felt like he was making a fool of himself. These two are fantastic together, and Ozzy, the MMC, is an amazing dad to his daughter, Lola. The little things he did for Maren had me swooning, and his emotional, intimate side was incredible.
The sneaking around added such a fun element—it had me giddy for them. Lola was also a great kid to read about.
Just read it! It’s worth every minute.
I love this series so far, and I’m really looking forward to the next book!

I had the idea to tab this read for my feelings because there isn’t another author that can make you have ALL the feels inside a book the way this woman can! It was fun to see the mix of tabs/feeling I had while I read! I was also not surprised to run out of tabs because there are a WHOLE lot of feelings in this book! Swipe to see the Tab Count.
Maren Barnabe is one badass woman! She’s a tanker pilot in the Montana wilderness for goodness’ sake! But some issues you can’t conquer by yourself, and you simply need a hand…like when there is no toilet paper in restroom and your only option is to ask the next available person to help you out. That next available person is Ozzy Laster (yep, your befuddled…read it to know why!). Ozzy is a new aircraft mechanic at Cielo Aviation, returning to work after losing his wife in a car crash that also injured his daughter, Lola. Because of this, Lola has been Ozzy’s primary focus but his chance encounter with Maren feels like something he doesn’t want to let go, and they are willing to try anything to have a chance at something more.
GAH! I loved these two together SO much! Jewel has a special way of connecting characters where it just feels like kismet! For every trial there is understanding, for every hesitation there is support, for every mistake there is forgiveness, and for every moment there is love, adoration, and so much more. Due to some extra sensitive circumstances, Ozzy and Maren are forced to sneak around, providing some hysterical moments only Jewel can create! Their banter had an extra flirty edge that made the tension and chemistry between them ignite! Ozzy’s relationship with Lola was so spectacularly special, as he navigated the fears of a little girl who was brave in so many other ways; and Maren’s relationship with Lola was so precious and tender. Their little family unit was perfect and so was this book!
You must read it!

"From Nowhere" by Jewel E. Ann is a powerful and heartwarming addition to the Wildfire series, following Maren, a fearless tanker pilot, and Ozzy, a widowed mechanic, as they navigate their whirlwind romance. Their meet-cute is awkward, funny, and adorable, but Ozzy's complicated life as a single father and Maren's presence helping him heal add depth to the story. While insta-lust isn’t my favorite trope, I grew to love their banter and chemistry, and the issues they faced tugged at my heartstrings. The focus on healing after trauma resonated deeply, particularly Ozzy's journey to cope with his loss and become a better father to his daughter, Lola. With its emotional and heartfelt portrayal of tough subjects, "From Nowhere" is a must-read for fans of romantic and meaningful stories.

4.5⭐️
I never feel like I do Jewel’s books justice in my reviews because you have to experience the stories for yourself to really understand the feelings they elicit. From Nowhere follows Maren, who we met in the first book, and Ozzy and Ozzy’s daughter Lola and how they all navigate life after losing someone close to them. As with any book written by Jewel, the story tugs at your heart. Seeing Ozzy and Lola especially, deal with such grief was heartbreaking. I wanted to just give them a big hug and tell them everything was going to be okay. I loved everything about this story, but would have loved to see more of Maren in her job. Being a tanker pilot sounds like a bada** job. Nevertheless, the love that formed in the wake of tragedy was beautiful and as always, if Jewel writes it, I’m going to read it!
(I also really really REALLY cannot wait for Will’s story!!)

Absolute loved this book! So many amazing moments that will make you laugh, swoon and fall in love with this story. Some of my favorite tropes - single dad, female pilot, found family, and second chance at love.
The opening scene is fabulous and sets the tone for the story/characters.
Izzy is a good man, dealing with trauma, raising his daughter and living with his dead wife’s parents (don’t get me started with his MIL). Izzy, his daughter, is his number one priority and he will do anything to make her happy…even if it means giving up his dreams.
Maren may be one of my favorite female leads. She is strong, determined and also has some past trauma of her own. She is amazing with Lola and becomes a fantastic influence for her.
Izzy and Maren are so amazing…from their snark, banter, to their passion, to the awkward situations and being so strong for each other.
The buying condoms scene is one of my favorites. Lol
There are some scenes at the end that will have you ugly cry…but they are so beautiful. This story will stay with you and warm your heart.

This was another great read in the Wildfire series. I have to say, I really like this authors writing style, her word choices, the pace, and the characters.
This story follows Maren and Ozzy, and while I wasn't sure about Maren in From Air, I really liked her here. She got to show her heart, her kindness, and her caring.
Ozzy and Maren had the BEST meet cute! And don't get me started on Lola..Okay, she was kind of a brat, but I got why. The only thing with her I didn't really understand was her obsession with wanting her dad to find a girl...or her trying to set him up. I could understand her wanting another mom, just so she's not different from all the other kids, but it seemed as though a "mom" wasn't as important as her dad getting out and getting some, lol.
The way this author wrote about grief and loss was decidedly a great part of the story. Ozzy was ready to get on with his life, Lola obviously was...and even though Tia was a total B and had SUCH an attitude, I got it. I understand where she's coming from and her attitude was intrinsic to the storyline.
I do wish there would have been a little more "chasing" or "earning" the sexy times, this one kinda read like instalove, but I still really enjoyed it overall. 4.5 stars!

From Nowhere by Jewel E. Ann, the second book in the Wild Fire series, set my heart on fire! This standalone romance is a s l o w-burning, soul-stirring love story that had my heart racing, breaking, and soaring all at once.
Ozzy, an airplane mechanic, meets Maren, an air tanker pilot who battles wildfires, under hilariously awkward circumstances. Their chemistry is undeniable, but they must sneak around as they explore their connection. Ozzy, a widower who lost his wife in a tragic accident, has dedicated his life to caring for his daughter, Lola, who has been struggling both physically and emotionally since the accident. Ozzy is sweet, devoted, and fiercely protective—but can he make room to love again after such a heartbreaking loss?
From Nowhere is a beautifully messy, heartfelt romance filled with witty banter and all the feels. Jewel E. Ann delivers another unforgettable love story. One-click this gem from Jewel!

Title: From No Where
Author: Jewel E. Ann
Hero/Heroine: Ozzy & Maren
What to Expect: Single Dad, Mechanic MMC, Air Tanker Pilot FMC, Widower MMC,
tw/cw: death of a spouse, death of a sibling, mention of car crash and injuries sustained, mention of plane crash, mention of therapy,
After read No Air, I knew that Maren would be an incredible heroine, and I wasn’t wrong. Badass air tanker pilot and all round good person, there wasn’t one thing that I disliked about her. Hers and Ozzy’s meet cute definitely wasn’t romantic, yet it was perfect for them.
There wasn’t any part of this book that I didn’t enjoy (Ozzy’s mother in law annoyed me for most of the book, yet she managed to redeem herself). The relationship Ozzy had with his daughter Lola was so sweet, I loved how they rode their bikes everywhere (for a very sweet yet heartbreaking reason). Throw these two and Maren together, and you have the perfect combination. Their connection was so wonderful and heartwarming, it put the biggest smile on my face. Though it wasn’t all plain sailing throughout the book, the way in which Ozzy and Maren handled things together was amazing, not an ounce of miscommunication in sight.
Thank you to the author and @valentine_pr_ for providing me with a copy of this to read. This is my honest review.
✨overall thoughts: yet another incredible book from one of my favourites

This series is captivating me. I am loving the journey the Wildfire series has been taking me on. Even though I read this book months ago, I frequently think about Maren and Ozzy, and his daughter Lola. I loved this story, the stolen moments, the love and friendship, the caring and support. I loved seeing the other characters from From Air. Maren had a lot of patience when it came to the trauma that Ozzy and Lola had faced. This was angsty and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen with these two.

From Nowhere is the 2nd book in the Wildfire series and was an enjoyable read I couldn't put down. It was an emotional tale that dealt with some hard topics and it will give you all the feels. It's a story about grief, healing and moving forward, taking a chance on love again.
The story follows Ozzy,a single dad who lost his wife in a car accident and is taking care of his daughter whom he almost lost in the accident too and Maren the neighbor and friend of the couple from book 1.
Ozzy and Maren were absolutely perfect together and from the moment they met I loved the ease of their interactions. Their struggles and growth throughout the book was well-written and relatable.
Ozzy's love for his daughter Lola, was swoony and even though it was difficult to have a relationship, I loved that he was willing to try with Maren and I loved her patience and understanding.
Apart from the emotional moments, the story also gave us angst, romance and humor and I ate it all up. This was another fantastic tale from this author and a great addition to the series. I loved it and would recommend it to romance lovers.

From the moment I saw this book, I wanted to read it. After binging on over 4 Jewel E. Ann books in the month of January alone, she has become one of my Must-read authors. I knew that I would fall in love with any and everything she released, and I could not wait to get my hands on 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.
Once I received my ARC copy of 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞, I devoured it in just one day! Yes, it was that good! It is so hard to describe this book because I felt so many things while reading it but what I felt most of all was happiness. Don’t get more wrong, this book covers some serious topics but the way the author does it, it does not bog you down. While reading, I laughed and smiled so much that my husband asked me if I was ok and why I was smiling so much.
𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 is a cute, sweet and happy love story. In it we see how the universe brings two people together that from the outside look like they have nothing in common but once the walls are torn down and the truths are revealed, it is shown that they were created for one another. Maren Bernabe is a tanker pilot working in small town Missoula. Ozzy Laster is a widower raising his young daughter as a single father. After an unfortunate accident that changed both his and his daughter Lola’s life forever, Ozzy is content with living life solely for his daughter. Though he would love to find love again, he doesn’t think he deserves it and who would date him anyway, Ozzy does not even drive a car, choosing to forgo a vehicle in leu of riding a bike as he helps his daughter deal with the emotional trauma from the car accident. So, when he meets Maren (which was the FUNNIEST scene ever), Ozzy now has to decide if he will continue to live the remainder of his life in guilt or if he will take a second swing at love.
There are so many things I could say about 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 but honestly, this is a book that you just have to read to understand why I loved it so much. This book was so unpredictable and fun to read. The pacing was perfect. Though over 300 pages, things happen at such a great pace that you don’t even realize how fast you are getting through the book until you find yourself at the end. It was an absolute page turner for me and at the end…I wanted more. You will definitely fall in love with the characters. Lola has got to be the cutest and smartest little girl ever. She had me laughing up a storm throughout the book! And Maren, my goodness! She was such a strong female character, and I LOVED how she did not mind taking the lead when necessary. Ozzy was a gem of a man! Sexy, an excellent dad, a hard worker, and he knew how to put it down in the bedroom! These two created fireworks when they got together and this one was STEAMY!!
Listen, I LOVEDDDDDD this book and I know for sure I will be reading it again in the future because I enjoyed it so much the first time. Run…don’t walk and get your copy of 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐍𝐨𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞, you will NOT be disappointed. 10/10 I most certainly recommend!

This book was fun, emotional and everything in between! She's a tanker pilot with a huge heart. He's a single dad who is completely devoted to his daughter. The loss of his wife has completely changed his world and made it kind of difficult for him to date anyone. But with a hilarious meet-cute, Maren and Ozzy share an instant connection.
What did I love about this book? Everything. The sneaking around. The smirks and smiles. The flowers. The teasing. The anticipation of seeing each other. They tried to make the most of each stolen moment but my gosh was it almost impossible at times for them to be alone! I'm smiling right now just thinking about it haha.
Sometimes everything seemed so natural and easy between Maren and Ozzy. But other times it was complicated. Very complicated. With so many layers to this story, it created angst, conflict yet at its core an achingly meant to be love story. I truly felt every moment of Maren and Ozzy falling in love with each other.
Single dad romance fans will eat this one up. Not just because of Ozzy, but because of Maren too. The relationship between Maren and Ozzy's daughter was so sweet and special. There were two scenes in particular that made me tear up.

Gah! Ozzy is just so sweet and awkward and caring—unsure about how to navigate being a widower, a single parent living with his in-laws, and a man who is excited to explore a relationship with Maren. And Maren is so strong but she also is nervous and giddy with Ozzy. It’s just another perfect installment of the series. It has all the heart, heat, witty banter, and just two imperfect people trying to figure out a way to make their spark burn and last forever.

This was my first book by Jewel E. Ann, and I absolutely loved it. If you're into small-town romance, single dads, and second chances, then this book is chef’s kiss—it has everything you need.
Since this is the second book in the Wildfire series, I did feel like I was missing a bit of background from the first book, but honestly, it didn’t take away from the experience. You can totally read this as a standalone without any issues.
The emotional depth of this book really stood out to me. It explores grief, love, and healing in such a raw and real way. Maren was incredible—patient, understanding, and giving Ozzy and Lola the time they needed to heal. Maybe too patient at times (realistically, I don’t know if anyone is that selfless), but I was rooting for her the whole time. There’s one particular moment (not going to spoil it!) where Ozzy really broke her heart, and I felt it.
Now, I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of kids in books because they often don’t talk or act their age, and that was the case with Lola too. She was a little too wise beyond her years, which took me out of the story sometimes. And don’t even get me started on Tia—Ozzy’s late wife’s mother. I get that she’s grieving, but some of the things she said to Ozzy? Way out of line. I really wished Ozzy had stood up for himself more instead of just taking it.
On a lighter note, I loved the romance. It had me giggling and kicking my feet during the sweet and swoony moments. And the cover? I could totally imagine those two as Maren and Ozzy—it fit the vibe of the book so well!
Despite a few minor annoyances, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and flew through it. Jewel E. Ann’s writing is beautiful, emotional, and addictive, and I’ll definitely be checking out more of her books.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for a digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

I LOVED these characters. They were a little quirky, but that's what makes them so special. There were awkward, laughable moments, emotional moments, sweet moments, and frustrating moments all tied into one amazing story.
Jewel E Ann's writing always has this way of making sucking me in and never wanting to book a book down, and this was one of those instances. Get ready for another emotional roller coaster and get your tissues ready.
I couldn't imagine how difficult it is to manage life after losing someone you loved and how to move forward with someone new and nagaivate that, especially with children. But also being the one who falls in love with the who lost.
Lola cracked me up! She is so smart for her age, and you could just tell she loves her dad so much.
Also Tia can eat a bag of nails 😝 I don't understand why she felt she had the right to control his life because he was married to her daughter but I wanted to smack her and HIM for not putting her in her place!

Where do I start with this one?! First, this is my first read from this author and it definitely won’t be my last. She has been on my radar for some time now and am kicking myself for not reading her sooner. This is a book I didn’t know I needed in my life! I was sucked in and I couldn’t put it down. I went in completely blind…I’m glad I did! I probably would’ve told myself that I wasn’t in the mood for a very emotional read so I would have gone in with a let’s just get it done mentality. I felt so much while reading this one. During parts your heart will break for these characters, but it will be mended! I was so thankful for the humor that was in this book as well! I had a few laugh out loud moments! I’m left feeling happy for the characters but sad for me because the book is over! I got super attached to them and wasn’t ready to say goodbye! I could go on and on! I will leave it at mark this one down as a must read!
Received an arc for a honest review.

I will not be giving feedback for this book. I did not enjoy the storyline. I've typically loved other books by this author which ke why I chose to arc read. However, I did not read book 1 to this series and don't know if that contributed to
My overall experience.
Thank you for the opportunity to arc read this one

Y’all know by now my heart beats for Jewel E. Ann books- and this Wildfire series is truly some of her best! No one seems to puncture my heart and pummel it with such finesse as Jewel- but she always heals it in the most breathtaking way, like I’m breathing new air, new energy, feeling in a way I haven’ before. Emotionally immersive, effortlessly raw, and deeply uplifting, From Nowhere is truly a story of healing in life’s dichotomies. Jewel delivers a narrative that somehow pairs the most bonegriping angst with such pure joy and light, heartache with hope, loss with love. I reveled in every emotion-drenched moment, madly in love with not just this couple but their journey.
A man who has faced unthinkable tragedy, barely hanging on by a thread. His daughter broken by the loss of her mother- and the lingering trauma of the tragedy. And the vivacious and brave pilot that tests all his boundaries- but also makes his heart beat again…but her dangerous job, a fragile daughter, and disapproving in laws all put their connection at risk. And a secret romance is born- it’s all a recipe for delicious angst, of the epic JEA variety.
Like always, this story is RIFE with heavy emotions and heat-string wrestling (cause JEA does more than “pull” LOL)- but there’s also this great juxtaposition of lightness and fun. Ozzy and Maren have such great chemistry. Their dry humor, their banter, their sneaking around antics- it’s lively, it’s playful, it’s joyful and fun. And it’s the beautiful light and sunshine in the adversity - the tragedy, the heartbreak, the non-linear healing. Because that’s really what their love is about- taking a risk on love, just being IN the big ole messy journey and business of living. Embracing life’s transience and fragility as an opportunity to grab every moment instead of fearing it and watching everything you're scared to lose pass you by. It's beautiful and resonant and most of all optimistic. A poignant reminder that our dark moments don’t define us….if anything, what defines us is how we have the courage to keep living through them. Another JEM of a feel-it-all story from queen Jewel E Ann.

Many thanks to Valentine PR, NetGalley, and the author for this arc.
It has been an absolute joy reading the Wildfire series and they somehow keep getting better. Maren and Ozzy were so incredibly realistic and it both broke and healed me reading their story. This is so much more than a romance, it really is an exploration of grief and how it effects people differently. They have been through so much, yet continue to find love and beauty in life. Lola especially tugged on my heartstrings and it was beautiful to read her growth. This family will hold a special place in my heart for a long time coming.
The writing was just as perfect as the first book and I loved the Fitz and Jamie cameos. Maren and Ozzy were total softies and I just wanted to put them in a bubble to make sure nothing happened to them again. Did I know what the conflict would be? Yes. Did it still hurt just the same? Also yes. I can't recommend this series enough and I cannot wait to read Will's story.

From Nowhere is the second novel in Jewel E. Ann’s Wildfire series, full of humor and heartfelt moments! The story made me laugh, but it also tugged at my heartstrings, especially when it came to Lola, the daughter of the main character, Ozzy. This girl is adorable, and her relationship with her father is something special. I felt sorry for Ozzy; he had a difficult life until he met Maren.
"I love you, even if it scares me to death. The only thing that scares me more is trying not to love you."❤️🩹
I was thrilled to see familiar characters from the previous book, and of course, I'm looking forward to Will's story! Hope he'll end up with the doctor eventually🤞
