An interesting story: Remi can't remember a traumatic event, but someone wants her to. The question is whether she can afford to remember. Someone seems determined to prevent her from remembering. Hawk is at her side when that someone is trying to take her out. Can she trust him? Should she? She needs to trust someone. Hawk is trying to find his brother, and all indications are that his brother is the one pursuing Remi.

This book has twists and turns as it races through the storm of Oregon toward a conclusion. There are sweet hints of romantic tension to add to the suspense. A truly enjoyable read that I can recommend to those who love Elizabeth's books that add nature as a part of the suspense.

A fierce storm, multiple attacks, running for your life, and amnesia; what more can one woman take? Add to that a mysterious hero, and you have the makings of a very suspenseful story.
I haven’t read many books by Elizabeth Goddard, but I will from now on! Her writing is exceptional, and the storyline is easy to follow. The dialogue between the characters moved the story along at a quick pace—so fast and intense that I needed to catch my breath a few times. I also didn’t want to put the book down!
I read way past my bedtime because I didn’t want to stop.
Action, drama, suspense, major life-threatening storms, and mysterious people made this story come alive and so captivating!
I’m just glad I wasn’t a character in this story! I love the Pacific Northwest, where this story takes place, and we get some rainy weather, but this was so much more! Wow!
If you want to read a book packed full of intrigue, suspense, action (LOTS OF ACTION!), drama, military struggles, and a bit of romance, then this is the book for you!
You might need a day or two to process everything in this book.
Believe me, you won't be able to breathe deeply until the end, but it will be worth it.

This book captured my attention from the first page and kept me reading way past my bedtime. It is full of action, adventure, and mystery. It has so many twists and turns that lead to a great ending. And from reading the sneak peak at the next book, I am even more excited to see more stories in this series.

Hawk Beckett is a helicopter flying ex hero who races to rescue Remi Grant as she is about to fall to her death. When she sees him, a flash of her missing memories comes to her mind and she wonders if he is the key to remembering what happened. I highly recommend you give this one a read if you like Christian suspense with some romance weaved in.

Storm Warning by Elizabeth Goddard left me utterly drenched in suspense and awe. This book unleashed a storm of emotions and faith, and I couldn't look away. The tension was palpable, and the danger relentless, but it was the underlying thread of God's presence that truly held my attention and my heart.

This was a page turner from the get-go, with nonstop, action and heart pounding scenes of danger.
Remi has hidden at Cedar Trails Lodge in the Pacific Northwest for two years, trying to recoup her memories after a close call with death. The storm of the decade is approaching, but so is someone who is after Remi, urging her to remember before it’s too late. Hawk comes to her rescue more than once, and he becomes the one person she can trust.
This plot was very complicated with many twists and uncertainty lurking in the background. The characters were focused on doing the right thing, even with limited knowledge.
The author gave Remi a strong faith to sustain her, even when she has gaps in her memory. Hawk is weaker in his faith, but it grows as the story unfolds. They rely on God when things get tough and boy do they get tough.
Riveting, action, and things that are not what they seem had me turning pages until the end.

I love the main characters, Remi and Hawk. Both of them are dealing with issues in their past. Remi is trying to remember what happened that caused her to wake up in a hospital with no memory of why she is there. Hawk is trying to find his brother who he believes is an assassin. The descriptions of the storms that are raging while Hawk and Remi are running/driving/flying make you feel like you are there. There is a lot of mystery and suspense in this story and Remi trying to remember her past, why is someone trying to kill her? There is plenty of action and plot twists too, a little romance and some humor. I cannot wait to read the second book in the series. Definitely edge of your seat story!

This novel starts out with suspense, a once in a decade storm along with king tides. Living on an island in the Salish Sea, we've recently experienced just the type of storms Goddard describes. She captured the danger well. And the suspense keeps coming as the plot develops.

The characters are drawn well. We get the sense there are secrets in both Remi's and Hawk's pasts. The suspense increases as we find out Remi's past includes information people will kill to obtain. The relationship between Remi and Hawk is a turbulent one with an underlying current of possible romance. There is an informative exploration of amnesia and a surprising twist near the end.

My favorite aspect of this novel is its setting, the Olympic Peninsula. The west side of it is rugged forest and is well described by Goddard. This is an engaging novel of adventure, faith, and budding romance.

I loved the suspense in this story. It’s a total page-turner! Elizabeth did a fantastic job blending romance with pulse-pounding action. The story has so many layers, and you won’t want to miss it!

This book will stay with you after you finish it, yes it's that good! The author is one who I eagerly await the next book from and this was worth the wait. You have the main character, Remi who can't remember the accident that caused her temporary amnesia. So her therapist has recommened her to go to Cedar Trails Lodge located in Hidden Bay on the Pacific coast. There she is saved by a stranger, Hawk Beckett who has also been sent there by a friend. Their paths keep crossing all the while danger is knocking on the door. Someone wants to harm Remi before she remembers anything and someone else is trying to get her to remember. This excerpt from the book stuck out to me "I came here to remember." Funny , because Hawk had come here to forget. There is plenty of twists and turns that will keep you captivated until the very end. I also loved the setting of the story, it makes me want to go to the West coast and see the landscape. They didn’t just seek God when things got tough—they constantly recognized His presence and His answers. Riveting and Suspenseful

Elizabeth Goddard is surely one to deliver a fast-paced, suspenseful, amazing book ALWAYS. I’m never disappointed by her writings. This first book, Storm Warning in the her new series coming out February 18, was so good. I give this a definite 5 stars. I have always loved Elizabeth’s books, ever since I started reading her books in 2020, I haven’t been able to put them down. Remi, military (army) photographer witnesses something so terrifying and when she loses her memory of that specific time, she’s in more danger than she knows. Cole, ex-military pilot hero, is trying to help Remi and also, save his brother’s life. When their worlds collide in an unexpected way, these two must rely on each other. I have so many good quotes from this book I don’t have room for them all. I loved every second of this first book. I am excited for the world to get this one in their hands and for the next one. I received an advanced copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Storm Warning is such an intriguing book. The suspense will have you hooked and eager to keep reading to the very end. There were twists and turns in Storm Warning that I haven’t read in other plots and I loved it! This is a series that I will be recommending to every suspense lover I know.

You better put on your running shoes and your thinking cap before you start reading this complex mystery. It was atmospheric, chilling and utterly gripping as you go alongside the two main characters as they fight for survival against an unseen enemy.

The mind is a strange thing at times. The brain protects us when we need it and cannot handle a catastrophic memory. This is the case with Remi Grant. She is a former army photographer who has no memory of a tragic day in her past. She survived, but she has no memory of that fateful day. She is content to live a quiet life at the inn on the rocky shores of the Pacific Ocean until she stars receiving mysterious puzzle pieces. Someone wants her to remember.

Former military pilot Hawk Beckett has arrived at the inn. He is there to find a quiet place to reflect and heal the hurt and pain of a past situation that has engulfed his very being. His solitude is immediately cut short with his first meeting with Remi, as it becomes readily apparent that someone has found Remi, and she is not safe. Trust will not come easy for Remi with this stranger.

This gripping tale will take you on a wild and crazy ride from the beginning chapter to the end with twists that will shock you.

Hawk emanates strength and character as he tries to protect this woman he barely knows. Remi is made of steel, whether she realizes it or not. Her mind may be cloudy, but her determination to survive make her a worthy adversary for anyone who dares to challenge her. One of my favorite quotes from the book comes from a time when Remi is a having a conversation with herself. "Lord, shine the light in the hidden places of my heart. What could be so bad that I've hidden it from myself? You know. You can see it. Help me to see it before it's too late." This cry for help came from her heart. This book is a mystery, with a little romance, but it is also very emotional.

This book is one adrenaline rush to another with barely room to take a breath. The action was nonstop, the intrigue and suspense kept me guessing, and the thread of attraction between Hawk and Remi was absolutely perfect.

I love the way the characters had to overcome personal struggles to move forward. Remi lost her memory after a tragic incident, and Hawk struggles with a mission gone bad, loss of his job, and a fruitless search for his brother. In the midst of it all his skills are needed to keep Remi safe.

Remi is freaked out when puzzle pieces start arriving along with a cryptic note telling her to remember. What is she supposed to remember? How? When her life is put on the line more than once, and Hawk is there to save her she’s relieved, but can she really trust him?

The mystery surrounding Remi’s memory loss left room for the author to play with different possibilities for suspects in the mind of the reader. I was totally surprised in the end which made the book so much better. I will definitely read this one again

The twists and turns in this story were what kept me reading page after page. And the ending! It was so unexpected that it had my jaw-dropping!!

Storm Warning was such a good book. It held my attention and offered an amazing ending. I loved the characters' interactions and the way they solved their problems. The plot was spot on. There were a couple of twists and turns that I did not see coming, which added to the tension. The romance was appropriate for the genre, and the puzzle pieces added fun to the tension. My favorite was the opening scene when the heroine was stuck on a cliff ledge. Way to open with tension and keep it on every page, Elizabeth Goddard!

Creepy? Yes. Great setting? Yes. Believable? Not really at all.

Sadly, I can’t say that I recommend this book. It was “too” everything, and by the time I reached the end, I had no sense of how much time had passed in the book. Was it 3 days or 3 weeks? And as far as believability, this book felt all too fantastic to make me buy into the story - helicopters, faces in the waves, ex-army photographers getting kidnapped/injured multiple times in one book?

Beyond this the writing was choppy (probably partly due to the lay-out of the galley, but still). There were lots of asides or comments from the author that were hard to decipher if they were the thoughts of the characters or just the stated knowledge that the author was giving.

Action, suspense and mystery all packed into this fast paced story. Readers will find this book hard to put down as one twist after another keeps this story suspenseful to the end. As Remi tries to untangle her memories, she doesn’t know who to trust. Hawk is there to protect her or is he? Who’s behind the attempts on her life? Who’s sending her puzzle pieces of warnings? All these questions and more makes this a worthy read. Highly recommended!

This brand-new series by one of my favourite authors is one fast-paced drama that kept my attention till I flipped the last page.

The story in a few words:

My thought:

I know from the get-go that I would love this book Ms. Goddard never miss a beat and has a knack to keep me at the edge of my seat. This latest was no exception, so many things going on, so many twists and turns it is almost impossible to foresee the next move. The mystery is very suspenseful and exciting. Who wanted to kill Remi and what was her dark secret?

Although Hawke wanted to forget his botch mission crossing path with Remi was all he needed and all the reasons he shouldn’t be helping her…..and chemistry between the two couldn’t be better and nature did its course….awe…

I enjoyed the remote location, the diversions created by the villains, and the delightful whodunit saga for our enjoyment.

Another excellent story by a master storyteller. Well-said and done.
