I read Wallbanger back in 2012 and had read it was a funny read which will keep you in hysterics. Whilst I enjoyed reading the book, it wasn't a laugh out loud book for me. And that is my opinion.

I was pleased when a second book and the continuation of Caroline and Simon's story was announced but I knew I would go into this book not thinking it was a funny read but more of a light hearted romantic story.

And I'm glad I did.

For me, it had the feel of one of the Bridget Jones' Diary books (which I adored!) and was humorous in places but overall was a sweet, light hearted romance.

I loved how we saw the relationship between Caroline and Simon mature and change over their time together while throughout understanding their need to keep their individuality.

Of course we saw more of Clive - who if possible had a more central role in this story - as well as their mutual friends.

If you enjoyed Wallbanger you won't be disappointed with this next book in the Cocktail Series. There are adorable moments, heart stopping moments and times where you just want to bang the characters' heads together. And, naturally, the Kitchen Aid and 'O' are ever present in the life of Caroline!
