In read City Girls many years ago. It was nice to be able to catch up with the characters and their lives and friendship.

When I saw this book come up I remembered reading the first couple years ago so was looking forward to seeing how 10 years on what had happened. Love that it was full of friendships, love and lots of fun!

I remember reading City girls back in the day and just loved it. Patricia has such a warm way of writing they is also realistic. I did wonder how this one would fare, I’m pleased to say it still has the same warmth and friendship. Such a delightful novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I read the previous three books in the series some time ago and really enjoyed them so I was delighted to be sent a copy of this latest one pre its release; thanks so much to net galley and the publisher.
We are reintroduced to the three City Girls, Devlin, Maggie and Caroline ten years after we last encountered them. Time has moved on and they are now all well-established in their careers but have a series of new challenges to overcome now they’ve reached their 50s.
The characters are relatable and Patricia Scanlon is excellent in describing their thoughts and worries so that the reader can emoathise. Several difficult topics are covered in a sensitive way and the ending is appropriate with them all moving on to new exciting challenges.
I highly recommend this book.
