This is a quintessential time loop novel following Avianna, a young witch who gets murdered at the end of every day. We follow along as she has to figure out why this happening and break the loop. Overall, I enjoyed this one, but man was Avianna not doing a good job of getting out of the loop, so I was definitely frustrated with her at times. The ending was also a little rushed.
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.

I really enjoyed 'The Chronology of Friday' and its interesting spin on a time loop mystery.
On the day of her 18th birthday, Anna is murdered by her ex boyfriend - only to wake up again and again on the same day. This gives her the unique opportunity to solve the mystery of her own murder. But will she succeed before final death catches up to her?
Great characters, well written, and full of suspense.

I am a sucker for any time loop/time travel books. I really thought this was such a unique book and plot. I had to remind myself being a YA book that the MC was coming of age and made some really aggravating choices. Otherwise I loved all the suspense and edge of your seat moments that kept me guessing. The ending did make me sad.

Unsure if the whole plot was just predictable to me or if there was a point to the twists being so obvious.
From Ian being hexed, Lillian coming after her to Riggs being a hunter, all of it was pretty predictable.
I liked the description of the covens and how they deal with different elemental magic. It has made me more inclined to check out more books in the genre. The time loop was an interesting plot device and it gave the story depth and intrigue.

This is a great read! I loved the time loop mystery and trying to figure out what was going on. I liked how the author repeated the days but didn't make it too repetitive. Such a great book!

This was a really well done novel in the genre and enjoyed how well the world was built, it uses the genre perfectly to tell the story. I enjoyed getting to know Avianna and that it had that same day over and over again element that I wanted. Jensen Rose Long wrote this well and had a strong concept and execution.

So so so good. Lovely book by Jensen Rose Long. I really recommend everyone to read this book as fast as they can because it's really good and the characters are fantastic.

A young woman about to become a witch is murdered by her ex, only to wake up at the beginning of the same day she died. She has to figure out why he's trying to kill her and how to stop him while living the same day over and over again. This provides an interesting way for Anna to explore the mystery of her own murder, her family's history, her father's abandonment, and her feelings about her ex without long-term consequences.
At a certain point, it gets repetitive. I read through the first half of the book quickly, then I had to slow down and read in smaller chunks to remain focused. Each day is different, but there are enough similarities that it starts to drag.
I enjoyed all of the characters: Anna, Greer, Brittany, Ian, Riggs, and Anna's mother are all unique and lovable. I enjoyed the bond between Anna and her sister, the way Ian still cared for her after their breakup, and how Brittany unquestioningly helped her regardless of whether Anna confided in her. The feelings that developed between Anna and Riggs seemed sweet and real. I don't understand why it's only mentioned once, late in the story, that Brittany, Ian, and Riggs are all related, though.
Anna grew a lot. She starts out going along with what her friends or family want. After dying repeatedly and getting tired of it, she becomes more direct and take-charge, asking difficult questions and taking risks to make things happen in order to try to fix what's been done.
I appreciated all the little hints scattered throughout the days about what was going on and who was behind it. It was like being able to see one object from different angles. It took a while for Anna to piece things together, but everything fit together to make a believable whole.
I enjoyed it.
