I found this to be an interesting read. It was a compelling story about the possible near future. It was a very politically themed novel. This was not really my kind of book, but it was well written.

Well-written and compelling story about a near-future that is not totally far-fetched. I was drawn to the book by the concept of an area on the High Plains that had split from the US but the human element to the story and the exploration of how the political climate complicated personal relationships is what made it a page-turner. Highly recommended.
