My first Abby Jimenez story - I’m so glad that I was fortunate to read this ARC! A cute and quick read, will
be back to read more of her books! I can see why she’s a popular author.

First, I can’t believe I bagged an E-ARC of this. Thank you so much to NetGalley for the honour of being able to read this before it comes out!

Second, the fact that I started this when I had to be in work and couldn’t binge read it in one sitting upset me greatly.

Now the actual review, some spoilers ahead…

The MFC, Samantha is dealing with a lot at the moment, her mother is sick, her cat has no bum hole (yes really) and she’s just met the love of her life. Xavier, the tall, hot vet falls for Samantha pretty much instantly. But their lives together are about to become very hard!

Samantha has to move states to help look after her mum but that’s not going to stop Xavier from pursuing this spark that he feels. The toll being ‘long distance’ takes on these two is heart breaking and as the reader you are desperate for them to make it work!

Samantha’s mum is suffering from dementia and as someone who both works with people with dementia and has a family member who has recently been diagnosed this is one of the most realistic depictions of the Illness that I have ever read. There is no other way to describe the illness than it’s S*it. Abbey really delivers when explaining the toll this illness takes on not only the person with it but their loved ones having to watch them disappear.

I laughed and cried reading this book and I can honestly say it is her best one yet.

LOVE LOVE LOVED this book, my first Abby Jimenez and I'm dying for more already. The characters were so beautifully crafted and the emotion in this book was just stunning. I loved the storyline and I was rooting for them throughout. I feel like this is a romance that will stick with me for a while - so emotive and raw.

My favorite Abbie jiminez book to date. This was perfect. I related so much to all the different discussions within this book.

It discussed some hard hitting topics such as abuse, mistakes parents make and how that makes you feel when you’re older, do you understand and forgive? Do they change and apologize? Also the importance of family. How every moment you spend with them is precious. Making memories with loved ones, and those kind of core memories that you know will stick with you when you’re still in the moment.

As a healthcare worker who works with dementia patients and their families, I felt Abbie really researched this topic so well and depicted it perfectly from both the dementia patients, and the family around them.

This was beautiful and heartbreaking. And Xavier is everything. I also loved the aspect of him being a vet and the inclusion of animals so much in this book. Also the ending was perfect and the full circle moment for Xavier was cute. I hope Samantha’s sister gets a book next 💗

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. Due to be published April 25th.

HATE to be doing this
Just for the summer was one of my fav reads!!
But this one just wasn't it for me.

It has insta-love, loads and loads of trauma, not enough romance, and to top it all off the miscommunication trope.
Ugh, I really wish I liked this more. :(

Abby Jimenez has been on my tbr pile for a while but this was really disappointing. The insta love and describing Xavier as a real life Rhysand gave me the ick immediately. I really dislike it when authors make references to other books like this, it feels lazy and gimmicky, I'm sorry. There was always something happening and not in a good way which just made things unbelievable. I don't feel this helped to actually develop the story but rather just give some reason to write a book with no real meaning. It was all too easy and this just wasn't for me. I won't be rushing to read her other books which is a shame. I fear I'm getting too old for booktok.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the DRC

I have really mixed feelings about this book! Usually I love Abby Jimenez books because they feel very ‘real’ and relatable, but this one I found a little far fetched with the insta love aspect. I also struggled a bit with almost finding it tooooooo real - I quite like it when I can escape into my books but I found this so sad and I wasn’t particularly eager to keep going back into this world!

this book was incredibly frustrating. and l'm so sad because i love all abby jimenez books and i was so interested in the first 20/30%. i hated the insta love and i hated the long distance relationship. this was so depressing and not in a crying/ sad way like actually depressing, everything was just getting shittier for the main characters when i didn't think it could get worse for them, it did. it was almost too real, the long distance relationship, the care for her mum and the money problems. also her swallowing her earphone gave me an ick. the communication at the end was a long time coming. i'm just happy they got their happy ending finally, i feel like the only way i got through this was because xavier was so likeable.
the only thing i loved was the message that
"The best moments don't have to be big to be forever."
it's so special to be able to find joy in the small moments in life.

I loved everything about this book. I actually finished it a couple of weeks ago and the story has definitely stuck with me. It’s definitely one of my favourites this year. This is the 1st book that I’ve read by this author, however it definitely won’t be the last. It’s more than worthy of 5 stars and I’d recommend to anyone.

4.5 ⭐️ ARC REVIEW

Abby Jimenez once again has pulled at my heartstrings. From the cover and title I thought this would be a lighthearted, maybe comedic, romance. However, it was much deeper than that. This was truly my favourite read of hers yet, after previously loving her novel, “Just For The Summer”.

The story *without spoilers* follows Samantha and Xavier, and is written in a dual POV. He’s a veterinary doctor and she’s a social media marketer for a mustard company. After a brief meeting they go on a date before Samantha moves across the country. Though they just went on one date, they had an undeniable spark. They are now left in a constant limbo, both having some tough circumstances cementing them to where they are. The most gut wrenching being that Samantha’s mother has dementia - and I felt like this was written and portrayed quite accurately.

This story was truly magical for many reasons. I loved the complexity of the situations the characters were in, and how this had such a human normalcy to it. Unlike in many romances, which still have their share of complexities, there was no “quick fix” solution. I loved that the emotions shown in this were really quite raw, particularly when it came to Samantha’s father. It felt so real, and that particularly broke my heart.

I spent quite a large portion of reading this in tears - which is rare for me. Overall, this novel contained so much heartache. From the way Xavier was treated by his parents, and how desperately he was willing to trade his happiness to prove them wrong - to Samantha’s family situation and the events that unfold around them as a whole. I found myself really routing for them, and connecting to them both as characters. Abby Jimenez has such a talent for writing characters this way.

Despite the heartache, you couldn’t help but smile and route for the couple. I absolutely loved how it played out and concluded.

I don’t have many critiques, to be honest!
Tristan’s speech was almost too “slangy” I thought. He’s 24 (I’m 23) and I just would never speak like that - it sounded more like how my 12-16 cousins speak.
Does Samantha have any friends? Hobbies? I feel like we didn’t get to truly know her past the surface level - other than her life working for the mustard company, looking after her mother or Xavier.

Thanks to Net Galley for the eARC!

3.5 stars!
in this book, we follow grumpy, gorgeous xavier who hates humans and loves animals (instant green flag!) he has his own veterinarian clinic & this is where we meet samantha. our sarcastic, witty & incredibly caring female main character. she comes to the clinic with her rescue kitten, pooter and begs xavier to save her somehow. despite her best attempts, xavier recommends putting pooter down & samantha refuses to do so.
despite getting off on the wrong foot, they go on a date. seeing as samantha was leaving and moving back home to take care of her mother, it was supposed to be a fun, one time only thing but the undeniable chemistry between the two kept tugging them back to each other.
im not the biggest fan of insta love which is one of the reasons i gave it 3.5 stars. i also wasn't a huge fan of the whole long distance thing, it felt like it dragged on. oh, also, i felt like there was just SO much trauma. it was one thing after another.
the relationship itself was beautiful, they have a connection that seems rare. they find peace within each other & truly want the best for themselves and their relationship whilst struggling with the fact that their situation isn't ideal.
however, i still really enjoyed abby's writing. it has a way of pulling you in & really making you think about things. she handled the topic of abusive parents and a parent with dementia with the utmost respect and care. i wasn't expecting this book to be this heavy with emotions and feelings but i loved that aspect of it. the attention to detail regarding those topics is so admirable.
the humour in this book was incredibly entertaining. i loved how sarcastic samantha was and how xavier just seemed to get her. i honestly loved xavier, the way his character was so respectful & loving despite his tough upbringing really shows that a persons character doesn't have to be a result of their childhood. people from the most awful, soul destroying homes can still be the most loving & respectful people.
i adored samantha's family. the way they stuck by each other through what is potentially the toughest thing they've ever experienced. her family life was so real & realistic despite being complex.
a huge thank you to little brown group uk & netgalley for for the e-arc! “say you’ll remember me” releases next year; april 1st 2025 🩷

This author is a genius at writing romance. I discovered the author earlier this year and could not get enough of part of your world series and I feel this could be the same! This book will make laugh and cry and take you on a rollercoaster. Thank you very much to the publisher and to netgalley for this arc.

This book ended up being so heartwarming with every aspect from the family, the couple's relationship and even unexpected interactions. Something turned me off in the beginning but the story more than makes up for it. Overall, this story really tugged on my heartstrings and I'm more than convinced that Abby Jimenez is truly a genius writer.

Abby Jimenez has done it again! She takes complications in relationships and builds a love around it that you root for. Samantha and Xavier are separated by distance but also face financial troubles, while Xavier sets up his veterinary business and Samantha moves home to help care for her mother with dementia. What follows is a story that looks at the lengths people will go to for love.

Say You'll Remember Me brings the perfect blend of irresistible chemistry and emotional depth. Samantha and Xavier’s story starts off with the kind of whirlwind attraction that makes you root for them instantly. But, what makes this book so compelling is the way the characters’ connection evolves. Their undeniable spark is tempered by Samantha’s personal challenges. Her family’s crisis creates a wall between her and the possibility of a relationship. The tension between the emotional pull of love and the real-life obstacles they face adds layers to their journey. The chemistry between Samantha and Xavier isn’t just about attraction. It’s about finding someone who challenges you and makes you believe in something better, even when life gets in the way. This story beautifully captures that moment where one perfect night could turn into something more, if you’re willing to fight for it.

Such a sweet, tender romance with a long distance relationship and very complicated, hard hitting family dynamics. The 2 MCs are very much in love with a lot keeping them apart but they triumphed in the end!

Let me introduce you to my new favourite book. I’m still reeling from the emotional whirlwind this story took me on. It’s rare to find a book that resonates so deeply, but this one did, and then some. I’ve never experienced a story that made me feel everything so profoundly. This wasn’t just a book, it was an experience.

For context, I’ve held Binding 13 and Keeping 13 as my gold standard for emotional storytelling. Both are masterclasses in exploring complex characters and intense relationships. Yet, I never thought anything could come close to topping those. Until now. Say You’ll Remember Me didn’t just match them; it carved out its own space in my heart.

This book tackles an array of deep, emotional topics with grace and authenticity. It’s not afraid to explore the darker corners of life, but it does so with sensitivity. Before diving in, I highly recommend reading the author’s note for trigger warnings – it’s important to be prepared for the heavy themes the book addresses.

Xavier and Samantha... Their story is unlike anything I’ve ever read. It’s raw, messy, and deeply human. Xavier is one of the most compelling protagonists I’ve encountered. His struggles, resilience, and vulnerability made me root for him from the start. Samantha, on the other hand, is equally complex. Her journey of growth and self-discovery felt authentic and inspiring. Together, their dynamic was so powerful. They faced real-life challenges, made mistakes, and navigated their way through heartbreak and healing.

What truly sets this book apart is how real the characters felt. They weren’t just names on a page; they were living individuals with flaws, dreams, and emotions that jumped off the page. I found myself laughing, crying, and even pausing to reflect on my own life while reading. The emotional depth and relatability of their journey left me in awe.

Say You’ll Remember Me is more than just a typical romance story; it’s a story about redemption, forgiveness, and finding light in the darkness. It’s a book that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page. I can’t stress this enough – everyone needs to read this when it’s released. It’s a story that will change you, break you, and put you back together in the best way possible.

3.75 stars, rounded up

I just love Abby Jimenez. She wrote one of my favourite books of all time (Just For The Summer), so I was super excited to get the chance to read this one early!

Say You’ll Remember Me is an emotional story, from many angles. Sadly, I felt it lacked a certain depth throughout the middle of the story. Certain parts felt quite dry and like they were only piling on the trauma and depression and stress onto the characters. Samantha and Xavier’s relationship was literally wrung out like a rag, and everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. And horribly so. While I know that real people do go through similar experiences, it felt like it was just blow after blow after yet another blow, to the point where you didn’t think anything else could go wrong. Well, just you wait…

I felt the pair’s relationship started off a bit insta-love’y, and progressed quite quickly, but then once they were together, they couldn’t even see each other. I feel for this couple (despite them being very fictional) cause they had to go through some real sh*t to stay together. I did end up believing in the strength of their relationship towards the end of the book and I feel they did everything they could to stay together, despite all the trials and tribulations they had to endure.

This story deals heavily with dementia and childhood trauma from narcissistic and emotionally abusive parents. Both have been handled with the utmost respect by the author, and felt extremely well researched.

Overall, the ending has redeemed the book for me, especially Hank’s character, and the efforts to bring the family together. I was just a little disappointed by some of the parts in the middle which felt rushed, with loads of telling not showing, but overall this story did tug at my heart just like every Abby book does.

Abby Jimenez has a remarkable gift of telling poignant and insightful love stories. Her newest release is as wonderful as its predecessors and will make you laugh and cry.

Abby Jimenez has never disappointed me, this book was amazing. Although sad- the whole story had me screaming at the injustice and how unfair the situation was. Also imagine getting locked in an escape room, new nightmare unlocked.
Xavier is absolutely the dream, a Rhysand looking, animal obsessed, veterinarian!!
Mustard is iconic, I absolutely adored our FMC.
