This author is a genius at writing romance. I discovered the author earlier this year and could not get enough of part of your world series and I feel this could be the same! This book will make laugh and cry and take you on a rollercoaster. Thank you very much to the publisher and to netgalley for this arc.

This book ended up being so heartwarming with every aspect from the family, the couple's relationship and even unexpected interactions. Something turned me off in the beginning but the story more than makes up for it. Overall, this story really tugged on my heartstrings and I'm more than convinced that Abby Jimenez is truly a genius writer.

Abby Jimenez has done it again! She takes complications in relationships and builds a love around it that you root for. Samantha and Xavier are separated by distance but also face financial troubles, while Xavier sets up his veterinary business and Samantha moves home to help care for her mother with dementia. What follows is a story that looks at the lengths people will go to for love.

Say You'll Remember Me brings the perfect blend of irresistible chemistry and emotional depth. Samantha and Xavier’s story starts off with the kind of whirlwind attraction that makes you root for them instantly. But, what makes this book so compelling is the way the characters’ connection evolves. Their undeniable spark is tempered by Samantha’s personal challenges. Her family’s crisis creates a wall between her and the possibility of a relationship. The tension between the emotional pull of love and the real-life obstacles they face adds layers to their journey. The chemistry between Samantha and Xavier isn’t just about attraction. It’s about finding someone who challenges you and makes you believe in something better, even when life gets in the way. This story beautifully captures that moment where one perfect night could turn into something more, if you’re willing to fight for it.

Such a sweet, tender romance with a long distance relationship and very complicated, hard hitting family dynamics. The 2 MCs are very much in love with a lot keeping them apart but they triumphed in the end!

Let me introduce you to my new favourite book. I’m still reeling from the emotional whirlwind this story took me on. It’s rare to find a book that resonates so deeply, but this one did, and then some. I’ve never experienced a story that made me feel everything so profoundly. This wasn’t just a book, it was an experience.
For context, I’ve held Binding 13 and Keeping 13 as my gold standard for emotional storytelling. Both are masterclasses in exploring complex characters and intense relationships. Yet, I never thought anything could come close to topping those. Until now. Say You’ll Remember Me didn’t just match them; it carved out its own space in my heart.
This book tackles an array of deep, emotional topics with grace and authenticity. It’s not afraid to explore the darker corners of life, but it does so with sensitivity. Before diving in, I highly recommend reading the author’s note for trigger warnings – it’s important to be prepared for the heavy themes the book addresses.
Xavier and Samantha... Their story is unlike anything I’ve ever read. It’s raw, messy, and deeply human. Xavier is one of the most compelling protagonists I’ve encountered. His struggles, resilience, and vulnerability made me root for him from the start. Samantha, on the other hand, is equally complex. Her journey of growth and self-discovery felt authentic and inspiring. Together, their dynamic was so powerful. They faced real-life challenges, made mistakes, and navigated their way through heartbreak and healing.
What truly sets this book apart is how real the characters felt. They weren’t just names on a page; they were living individuals with flaws, dreams, and emotions that jumped off the page. I found myself laughing, crying, and even pausing to reflect on my own life while reading. The emotional depth and relatability of their journey left me in awe.
Say You’ll Remember Me is more than just a typical romance story; it’s a story about redemption, forgiveness, and finding light in the darkness. It’s a book that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page. I can’t stress this enough – everyone needs to read this when it’s released. It’s a story that will change you, break you, and put you back together in the best way possible.

3.75 stars, rounded up
I just love Abby Jimenez. She wrote one of my favourite books of all time (Just For The Summer), so I was super excited to get the chance to read this one early!
Say You’ll Remember Me is an emotional story, from many angles. Sadly, I felt it lacked a certain depth throughout the middle of the story. Certain parts felt quite dry and like they were only piling on the trauma and depression and stress onto the characters. Samantha and Xavier’s relationship was literally wrung out like a rag, and everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. And horribly so. While I know that real people do go through similar experiences, it felt like it was just blow after blow after yet another blow, to the point where you didn’t think anything else could go wrong. Well, just you wait…
I felt the pair’s relationship started off a bit insta-love’y, and progressed quite quickly, but then once they were together, they couldn’t even see each other. I feel for this couple (despite them being very fictional) cause they had to go through some real sh*t to stay together. I did end up believing in the strength of their relationship towards the end of the book and I feel they did everything they could to stay together, despite all the trials and tribulations they had to endure.
This story deals heavily with dementia and childhood trauma from narcissistic and emotionally abusive parents. Both have been handled with the utmost respect by the author, and felt extremely well researched.
Overall, the ending has redeemed the book for me, especially Hank’s character, and the efforts to bring the family together. I was just a little disappointed by some of the parts in the middle which felt rushed, with loads of telling not showing, but overall this story did tug at my heart just like every Abby book does.

Abby Jimenez has a remarkable gift of telling poignant and insightful love stories. Her newest release is as wonderful as its predecessors and will make you laugh and cry.

Abby Jimenez has never disappointed me, this book was amazing. Although sad- the whole story had me screaming at the injustice and how unfair the situation was. Also imagine getting locked in an escape room, new nightmare unlocked.
Xavier is absolutely the dream, a Rhysand looking, animal obsessed, veterinarian!!
Mustard is iconic, I absolutely adored our FMC.

Abby Jimenez can do no wrong in my opinion. One thing you can be sure of is you will need to have tissues at the ready. This is not the first time Abby has had my heart in headlock.
The chemistry between the two main characters are being felt almost instantly. You can see it even through the argument.
And their first date makes me believe in love (and I secretly with I wish there). It reminds me of my first date with my husband, where I just didn't want it to end!
Now with all Abby Jimenez books family dynamics are a huge part of all the characters. I always like this I her books because often families are completely forgotten about in romance books. Whether or not they are good families they really set the main characters up and give them true motivation for their behaviours!

As per usual, Abby’s book hit harder than it had any right to do. I suffered reading this. I smiled reading this. I freaking cried reading this.
It’s so much more than anything I expected. Xavier and Samantha are just impeccably written characters that I think only Jimenez could have written. You see the strength of a couple who know they’re meant to be and the struggle and determination of a family who are trying their best at an awful situation.
It’s not often that a book like this is written. Abby is able to lock into a part of my brain that seems to be reserved for her words and give me some belief in humanity. Thank you.

This is a really lovely book and easy to read, I think it's perfect for those moments when you can't decide what to read. The characters are really enjoyable, just some few toxic characters but fortunately you don't read too often about them. For a grumpy/sunshine love story and easy to read definitely is a great choice.

I know I can always count on Abby Jimenez to deliver wit, depth, and emotion in equal measure whenever I pick up one of her books, and "Say You'll Remember Me" is no exception.
After a rocky first meeting, and a second chance that turns into a laugh out loud funny first date, I was certainly rooting for our main characters Samantha and Xavier to make long distance work. I particularly liked their banter throughout, and loved that Xavier might be the biggest animal lover out of all of Abby's MMCs (which is saying something if you've read any of her previous books)! While I enjoyed the tension caused by the various "will they or won't they" moments throughout the story, as with Abby's other books the story has added dimension thanks to the sub plot about Samantha's family. As always, Abby did a great job handling a sensitive subject matter with care.
Thank you to Little Brown Book Group UK, NetGalley and of course Abby Jimenez for this advance copy!

This was the first Abby Jimenez book I have read, and I know she is very popular amongst Booktok/Bookstagram, so I was super excited for NetGalley to give me this opportunity!
Say You'll Remember Me was a light, fluffy contemporary romance novel. The book did have some trigger warnings so please pay attention, but overall the book wasn't dark. Was it the greatest romance story I've ever read? No, sometimes I found the writing a bit too cheesy and repetitive, but it was easy. I did enjoy the story a lot of the time, and I am a sucker for a HEA which is why this review is 3 stars.
If you like Insta love, romantic cliche's, grumpy x sunshine trope then you will likely enjoy this book.

Give me an Abby Jimenez book and I will eat it up. However, I just couldn't get on board with this story. Maybe it's because it's still in the editing process but I found the "forget me" storyline just a little too obvious that there would be a happy ending... it's a romance book. cmon.
I might give it another go when it is published next year, but it just didn't stick. I liked the characters but wouldn't talk about them forever like some others (if you get what I'm on about)

I have always been a huge fan of Abby so I was so excited when I received this arc. Unfortunately not every book will be for you, just like this one was for me. The biggest issue I had with this book is the pacing. Everything just happened way too fast for my liking that I was bored when I got to the halfway mark. I will say that I love that Abby deals with heavier issues in her book. It is such a refreshing thing to see when you are constantly seeing cute fluffy books. I love a good book that will make me cry. I will continue with the series but sadly this wasn’t a hit for me.

This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, heart in my hands just hoping it would all work out.
This is a lovely meet cute story with emotion and genuine romance. The banter between our love interests is immaculate, I laughed a lot along the way. It’s not very spicy which I’m good with as I love that the relationship and characters personal story is the focus.
The author tackles family grief and health in a lovely way, showcasing authentically the ups and downs, and the hard decisions you have to make for those you love.
I had a wonderful time reading this, it was so genuine and heartwarming even with the hardships suffered along the way.

How sweet and heartbreaking this book was !
The first encounter between Sam and Xavier is pretty explosive : he wants to euthanize a kitten Sam has found, and she doesn't. Clearly, this vet is a grump ! But she can't resist, after the kitten has been healed, to come back to him to gloat a little bit. And then, he asks her on a date. And everything is perfect ! Except when she tells him she won't see him anymore...
Lots of lovely moments, lots of sadness too, and a relationship that seems to be doomed since the begining, and yet they can't get away from the other.
Thank you Abby Jimenez, I had a blast !

This book is not a romcom.
I find that Abby Jimenez's books are wrongly marketed as such, even though they deal with often heavy subjects. And I honestly think this is the least happy book l've read by her so far.
While I enjoyed the characters independently and together, it was the situation they found themselves in that I didn't like. Even though I understood the reasons why their relationship was actually impossible to live with in a healthy way, Xavier was making himself physically, financially and mentally ill, working beyond his means to be able to travel and see Samantha. And while that can be very beautiful in a romantic way, I found it deeply unfair to him. I really didn't like the fact that it gave me anxiety throughout my reading. The further we got into the story, the less hope we had. And I couldn't wait to get to the end of the book. I was sincerely relieved at the epilogue.
However, I really liked the dynamics of Samantha's family. All the sacrifices and accommodations they make to help their ailing mother were sincerely heartbreaking. It's a situation we wouldn't wish on anyone, and seeing them tear each other apart at times, but united most of the time, gave the story a realistic, heartfelt feel.
I think fans of Abby Jimenez will enjoy this book more than I did Because even though I loved Just for the Summer, in general the 80% crisis in her books always ruined the reading experience for me. And this book was not at all the kind of romance I dream of unfortunately.

Say You’ll Remember Me was my first Abby Jimenez novel but it definitely won’t be my last. Her writing style reminded me of Paige Toon with its sweeping romance and real emotional depth.
One thing I really appreciated about this book was its sensitive and honest portrayal of dementia. Having experienced it myself with my grandma, I felt the depiction of the grief and loss was handled beautifully. It added so much heart to the story and gave it a layer of depth beyond the romance.
I absolutely loved the romance itself. I’m not usually a fan of insta-love, but Samantha and Xavier’s connection felt authentic and believable. Both characters were so well-drawn that I couldn’t help but root for them.
Xavier was such a charming yet flawed hero, and Samantha’s wit and vulnerability made her equally endearing. I also enjoyed the playful pop culture references, especially the ACOTAR Rhysand comparison when describing Xavier.
The story struck a perfect balance, with poignant moments that tugged at my heartstrings and witty, lighter scenes that made me smile. I also really enjoyed the dual POV, which gave insight into both characters and made their emotions and struggles feel even more real.
Overall, this is a beautifully written and deeply emotional romance that I couldn’t put down. It is poignant, funny, and full of heart and I'll definitely be reading more books by Abby Jimenez.
