This is my second book by Abby Jimenez and I have to say I think I enjoyed this one even more! Such a great read. Definitely going to read her other books :)

Literally perfection, I couldn't put it down. Such a gorgeous read. I will definitely be reading more of Abbys work.

Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez was everything I hoped for and more—an emotional, heartfelt story that hit me right in the feels. Abby has an incredible gift for creating stories that resonate so deeply, and this one might just be my new favorite of hers.
The characters felt so real, with raw, authentic emotions that had me completely invested in their journey. The romance was beautifully written—equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking—and I found myself tearing up more than once. Abby’s signature blend of humor, depth, and vulnerability shines here, making the story feel both relatable and profound.
I honestly love anything Abby writes, but this book was something special. It left me emotional, reflective, and so grateful for her ability to craft stories that stay with me long after I’ve turned the last page. If you’re a fan of her work—or just love books that hit hard and linger—this one is an absolute must-read.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.
There might be no such a thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes-all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediately yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there's nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong...
. . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake. But after one incredible and seemingly endless date-possibly the best in living history-Samantha is forced to admit the truth, that her family is in crisis and any kind of relationship would be impossible. Samantha begs Xavier to forget her. To remember their night together as a perfect moment, as crushing as that may be.
Only no amount of distance or time is nearly enough to forget that something between them. And the only thing better than one single perfect memory is to make a life-and even a love-worth remembering.
I read the book in two days a s I could not put it down. Every time I finish a book by Abby Jimenez I think it can never get better than this… and then it does. Abbi Jimenez never disappoints. She is An auto buy author for sure.

Perfection! Utter perfection!
I yearned, I cried, I felt it all with Samantha and Xavier. Their story was so heartbreaking but also so hopeful the way they knew they were willing to whatever just to get those moments with each other.
If I could give infinite stars, I would. My favourite AJ book to date.

Say You'll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez was an emotional read, but one I found ultimately disappointing. The pace was incredibly slow and I found that I wasn't invested in Xavier and Sam's relationship. Yes, their initial chemistry is undeniable and I thought their original meet-cute was hilarious and pretty adorable, however, their relationship immediately felt strained and both characters became incredibly needy after only one date. Their attachment to one another felt forced and highly unrealistic, which was unlike previous Abby Jimenez books I had read.
The scenes I enjoyed the most, no matter how heartbreaking, were the ones that explored Sam's family dynamics. This book deals with dementia and childhood trauma in a delicate, thoughtful and beautifully written way, however the relationship at its core felt forced and laboured.

This is the first book to have made me cry in a good long while. From start to finish, I thought this was just beautiful. I loved in how much vivid detail Samantha and Xavier's first date was described. I loved seeing them spend so much time together throughout the book and fall deeper and deeper in love. I loved how the conflict never came from inside their relationship, but from the outside instead. I could clearly see why both of them needed to be where they were, even if it was breaking them not to be together, and until the very end I kept wondering how on earth this would be resolved into a HEA, and I loved when it did. Samantha's family situation was described with so much care, it was clear to see how much Samantha loved her mother and wanted to take care of her. This made for a pretty emotional read, but in such a heartwarming way, and there was so much humour too. This might be my favourite Abby Jimenez book so far.

Abby Jimenez, an auto buy author for me for sure and this novel just further proves that. So sad but also so overwhelmingly beautiful too, I'm genuinely swept away and this could be hard to top this year.
I'd say reading the trigger warnings and topics before starting is important (particularly surrounding dementia), as some of these are very prominent in the book and hard hitting.
The main characters, Xavier and Samamtha are so well written and my heart was aching for them. Their love story is moving, beautiful and heartwrenching all at once. I spent the entire book rooting for them, but feeling personally hurt through their hardships too.
There are so many important thoughts, quotes and meaningful moments in this book that really make you stop and think about if you're making the most of your life. It's certainly made me stop and think about if I'm treasuring those around me, and how to create those meaningful memories and feelings that last a lifetime.
Thank you to Netgalley and Little Brown Book Group UK for providing me with the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I loved every book by Abby Jimenez but this one was not for me. I coudln't get over the fact that the story started around the kitten's (lack of) butthole. And I couldn't believe the instant attraction over litteraly nothing so I wasn't invested.

Shes done it again!!! This was my favourite of all of Jimenez work which is extremely hard considering the calibre of her other books. Highly recommend for a fast and addictive read.

This book was a beautifully written, emotional and evocative exploration of grieving your alive parents and the struggle of being a loved one's carer. At times it was hard to read because of how realistic the descriptions felt and I felt myself grieving the life the main characters were missing out on. At times Xavier was too selfless to believe, but the animal shenanigans and the little community he built himself despite everything showed the depth of his resilience. I will continue to devour anything Jimenez writes, a truly beautiful book about being human and loving.

From the moment I opened this book, I was utterly captivated. It pulled me in so completely that I lost track of time and found myself unable to stop reading. The story had an almost magnetic pull, keeping me hooked from beginning to end. It was an emotional journey like no other—one that made me laugh out loud during some moments and reduced me to heartfelt tears during others (honestly, “sobbing” might be a more accurate way to describe it). The characters felt so genuine and fully realized that they didn’t just exist within the pages of the book; they felt like people I personally knew and cared about deeply.
Abby Jimenez has an incredible gift for storytelling, and she used it to perfection here. The way she brought Xavier and Sam to life was nothing short of extraordinary. Their personalities, emotions, and struggles were so vividly portrayed that I could see, hear, and feel everything they were experiencing. But it wasn’t just about them—the supporting characters also felt wonderfully authentic and added layers of depth to the narrative. Each character, no matter how large or small their role, contributed something meaningful to the story.
At its heart, this book is a celebration of love in all its forms—romantic, familial, and even the kind of love that helps us find forgiveness and healing. It’s a powerful exploration of the challenges and triumphs of relationships. Through its pages, we see what it takes to keep a long-distance relationship alive, even when the odds seem impossible. We witness the painful but ultimately rewarding process of mending a broken relationship with one’s parents. The story also delves into the bittersweet and deeply emotional task of reconnecting with someone you love who has lost their memories. Above all, it reminds us how important it is to cherish and hold onto the people we love, no matter the obstacles we face.
The relationship between Xavier and Sam takes center stage in this heartfelt tale. After sharing a night that neither of them will ever forget, Sam makes an astonishing request of Xavier: she asks him to forget about her entirely. But instead of letting her go, Xavier embarks on a journey that shows the extraordinary lengths people will go to when they’re determined to be with the one they love.
Abby Jimenez has truly outdone herself with this book. Her ability to craft such a rich, emotional, and deeply moving story is nothing short of magical. If you’re a fan of love stories that touch your heart and linger in your mind long after you’ve finished reading, this book is an absolute must-read. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Abby Jimenez is one of the most talented romance writers. She writes terrific dialogue (her hold over this craft needs to be studied, seriously) and it makes for an entertaining banter for the beginning chapters, luring you right in. Her strong dialogue is only made better by her well-fleshed characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and how it brings us full circle to the ending. Probably my favourite AJ book!

This book broke my heart and put it back together so many times. It was phenomenal. The love between Samantha and Xavier was real and raw and true, and I jut had to know how their story was going to end.
I was a bit skeptical at the start because it was very insta-love but as the story progresses, you see that the love is deep and honest. Both Samantha and Xavier were such realistic and complex characters, and the development of their feelings and relationship was a beautiful thing to read - I don't think I've ever highlighted as many quotes as I did when I was reading this book. Samantha and Xavier face many challenges both individually and together, and seeing them be there and support each other through it all was simultaneously heart-warming and heart-breaking. You could really feel their love and desire to care for each other along with the agony and desperation of not always being able to be there physically.
Overall, I cannot recommend this book enough and I will be thinking about it for a long time to come.

This book broke me in more ways than one.
Samantha and Xavier are absolutely perfect and I cannot love them any more than I already do. Their story is heartbreakingly beautiful and along with the side story following the struggles families face with dementia, this book will make you want to hug your loved ones tighter.
This is my first (but won't be my last) book by Abby.

Abby Jimenez never fails to break your heart and keep on shattering it. Samantha's and Xavier's story was heartbreaking, catching, gut-wrenching and truly beautiful.

Is this the best book Abby Jimenez has written? It might be. I am so grateful that I got the chance to read an eARC of it thanks to NetGalley and the publisher.
This book was intense. It was heartbreaking and beautiful and everything you could ever wish for. A gorgeous love story, a wonderful story about family and love and sacrifice. Xavier and Samantha are both beautiful people and they make a great pair together, I was rooting so hard for them and I was so excited about their relationship and their journey.
This book is a true inspiration and I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately this did not do it for me, I have loved 'Yours Truly' by Abby Jimenez, 'Just for the summer' was a bit mid for me but this one really let me down. The first thing that bothered me was the insta-love, it's personal preference of course but it really angered me because these two were just riding the wave of a crush, they liked each other on the first date and then it was trauma-bonding really from then on. And there was too much trauma, everything that could happen did happen and it did not stop until basically the last chapter. It felt like it was put in there just to keep up the pace because the love story was lacking. I could not feel their chemistry really, he was her emotional support for everything and kept her family calm too. Like this man somehow had zero moments of acting a bit insane, he was never wrong, always calm and collected in every situation, always knew what to do and it's just....too much. I love a mature MMC but he also has to be a human being? He had trauma too yes but somehow was able to have that not effect him in his daily life except for when he got a bit angry about his parents and the only thing he wanted to do was speak to her about it (again only emotional support it seemed) plus it did feel like his issues/traumas were brushed over in a few sentences but hers were all over the book all the time and took up all the space in his life too.
The one part I liked was the depiction of dementia, I am lucky enough to not know what that is like but it felt quite well explored and with a lot of tact which Abby Jimenez always does. I would have liked it much more if the book itself was more about the family dynamics and the story around the dementia of the mother and how they worked together as a family. Instead we got a LOT of difficulties for the couple that then ended up being irrelevant truly and all got solved with one quick convo with a friend so not too good.

It is not an exaggeration to say that I adore Abby Jimenez, she has my heart. So I was beyond delighted to have been provided with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I want to shout it out - this book is incredible. A grumpyxsunshine long distance romance, where each of our MCs are battling family issues, employment/money struggles, but throughout it all have a deep love and attraction for each other - the longing, the angst is just perfect. And I loved the amount of animals and dogs in this story - more romance novels need puppers.
I have zero bad notes. 10/10, would read again and love every second.
Without spoilers.- I cried, I laughed, I loved it. An absolute must read.

Abby Jimenez has done it again, with an utterly heartbreaking yet hopeful romance. As meet-cutes go, Say You'll Remember Me has one of the more memorable ones: girl takes kitten to vet, vet tells her kitten has no butthole and will die, girl shouts at vet and decides to crowdfund for the kitten butthole surgery, vet donates to crowdfunder and romance ensues...
But while that sounds all fun and games (and buttholes), Say You'll Remember Me deals with serious and emotionally charged themes of dementia, elder care, financial insecurity, child abuse and narcissistic parents. It's a credit to Jimenez's talent that she maintains the necessary balance between these heavy topics and the sweet romance between Samantha and Xavier.
A must-read for Jimenez fans and one that readers of Emily Henry and Christina Lauren will enjoy.
