I loved this book. Piper is my hero, she takes no nonsense from Vincent and never fails to tell him like it is. As their relationship progresses from antagonistic too reluctant co workers to a more romantic nature she always tells him like it is.
And when he makes the grand gesture that is so familiar in these stories, she tells him no, I deserve real feelings not gestures.
It was perfect, more please.

this book was so cute!! i hardly read romance so going into it i assumed i wasn't going to like it but i was wrong.

on a spice level it's like a 2/5, there's some scenes but they aren't too intense.

i really liked piper, she has a lot of love to give & just needed the right person to bring it out of her.

vincent's character was hard to like in the beginning and he made a lot of mistakes throughout the book but in the end he figured out what's important to him. business is important but prioritizing your person is just as important!

overall 4/5! i would recommend this book to romance lovers. i would said it's a enemies to lovers romance.
THANK YOU to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book for FREE. i really enjoyed the opportunity.

This was a fun, enemies-to-lovers and fake dating romance that took the reader on quite an adventure. I found the references to the perfuming world quite interesting. As characters, Vincent and Piper were a little extra. Vincent leaned into his egotistical billionaire personality at first. I liked that Piper didn't take Vincent's crap but her inner monologues could be over-the-top. With time, both Piper and Vincent learned to soften, be themselves and work together. It was the expected break-up that I struggled with, not only the manner in which it happened but the extreme lack of communication. This review is slightly different than what I posted on GoodReads as the spoilers have been removed. The best part of this book was the part with the flowers. It was unlike any grand gesture I've ever read before and my respect for Piper went through the roof because of it. The worst part of the book for me was the reunion. It was incredibly cheesy and made me roll my eyes. Another reader said it was "almost ick" and I have to agree 100%.

Thank you to NetGalley and Leslie North for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Overall this was an ok and quick read. While I love the fake dating trope, communication issues between the main characters and making someone "grovel" and "woo" the other character back really irritates me.

I think that the relationships between the characters could have been developed a little better and felt that the some of the outside conflicts felt forced. The "surprise" at the ending is probably what made me rate this so low. I feel like the announcement the main couple made was unnecessary to wrapping up the story and unrealistic.

3.5 stars. I was really enjoying this enemies-to-lovers, fake-dating romance until the 3rd act breakup. Piper is very fun and smart--I admired that she always stood up for herself. Vincent (love that name!) was a great bosshole (love that word!). But...the 3rd act breakup was handled poorly. Both Piper and Vincent made some mistakes in the handling of their relationship and poor communication. And the reconciliation was incredibly cheesy and almost ick. I enjoyed the character and relationship development so I'm interesting in continuing with this series. Good writing. Thank you to NetGalley for a digital copy.

Piper and Vincent meet because of a car accident. They end up thrown together due to a series of circumstances beyond their control but then they just compound the problem with lies. Can a relationship started on a lie end up being real?

Piper is a photographer with dreams of owning her own business. I like that she isn’t a pushover. She is also smart and creative. I didn’t totally understand her business plan but it was nice to see how she went from idea, to plan to actually creating her business. Vincent is driven but that’s what makes him successful. His determination to create the “perfect” scent was interesting. He is known as a bosshole. The author did a nice job showing how Vincent became nicer. It was believable. I think the author did a good job showing how the characters grew together. I like the side characters and how they all fit into the story.

This story takes place in Manhattan. This is a fake relationship story. This is a feel-good love story. I enjoyed this story and I will read more from this author in the future.

Bossy Billionaire meets Sassy Photographer in this adorable romcom. There’s a lotta sass which I approve highly of. We’ve got sort of an enemies to lovers along with a fake dating trope, which I love. Enjoy the ride, its a great one 🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book archived before I could read it but I don't want my % to decrease because I wanted to pick it up but didn't download it before it did.

The premise sounded fun and something I might enjoy so I may read it eventually but not right now.

The star rating is to boost the book and because I like the cover.

Thanks to NetGalley for the copy!

I was enjoying the first part but then it got too soapy. Somehow the focus wasn’t on the correct place of the story. For example they made two deals leading to the same thing eventually which made the second one unnecessary. The plan to go to Hawaii and stay there a week and secure a deal and thoroughly described and then they go there, they ask 2 questions, they spend there one day that’s properly described and then nothing, felt skipped over . Their relationship despite starting off as a fake one and developing into something more was also not really detailed. Supposedly him being the grumpy and she the sunshine, somehow missed the mark.

Something that pissed me off was his relationship with his ex! If you don’t like her so much don’t hire her, I’m sure there are other models out there, and how many times can a woman attempt to and actually sit in your lap for you to learn how to properly reject her?

Paul seeking advice from Vincent after his wedding complaining about his wife feeling not understood and at the point of a break down.. the whole paragraph felt like gaslighting from their side. Pass

Somehow fast forward to Vincent proposing to Piper. I’m asking myself why? What exactly makes him realise she’s for him after complaining the whole time, not being understood, romantic or supportive at all? And after his behaviour what possesses her to agree? One chapter later and she’s also pregnant. Another pass.

P. S something i remember from the first time he actually met/ hugged her , his inner dialogue being “she smells like cheap perfume, not like the one she deserves “. Um, excuse me but if I’m into someone I don’t want him to think I smell cheap, I’d never think this and it’s ridiculous as a comment because it already piles up negative points for the character, at least from my side.

So as predictable as this book was , I’m going to give it 3 stars because , once again, I enjoyed the first half.

This was a strong start to the Manhattan Bossholes series, it had that element that I wanted in a romance novel and from the setting. I enjoyed the way Leslie North wrote this and hope there is more in this series. The characters had that realistic feel that I wanted and was glad I got to read this.

This book was so satisfying. The sass, the banter, the chemistry, the bizarre twists of fate, the slow burn. All of it made this book so much fun to read. I could have kept reading more and still been happy.

-NetGalley-

I loved the book!!
From the first moment we met the incredible billionaire Vincent and his huge ego (and wallet haha) I knew it was going to be a really good book.
I would have loved to see more of his relationship with Nana Dee, because I thought it was super cute but it made up for it quite a bit by showing his relationship with The Lost Boys. It's the first time I've seen a book where there's a character so open in his relationship with his friends/brothers.
I thought it was a really nice book. I really liked that Piper fulfilled her dream of building her own company, she didn't sacrifice her own desires to continue working with Vincent, she made her own way in the end.

Thanks to the author and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I really enjoyed this book! I was drawn in from the beginning and loved Piper & Vincent’s story. Without spoiling anything, the main negative is I think the story could’ve ended 1 chapter earlier and I would’ve liked it better, although I do to some extent understand how it tied together Vincent’s whole story.

Thank you to NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

‘“If you want that contract signed, we need to deliver on what they’re expecting. You have to pretend to be utterly, head-over-heels crazy in love with me.”

“And what about you?” I demanded.

Piper held her hand over her heart and batted her eyelashes at me. “Oh, that won’t be an act. I simply adore you, Mr Forde”.’

I am a sucker for a workplace romance novel. Add enemies to lovers, a billionaire MMC and a sassy FMC into the mix, and I will DEVOUR it. Perfect (mis)Match by Leslie North is a sweet and funny romance novel, and while it’s not an original concept, it really delivers in how excellently written it is and the banter between the characters.

The story follows Piper Doyle, a freelance photographer with a big dream, and Vincent Forde, billionaire and CEO of Summit Fragrances. The pair collide (literally) in Vincent’s building’s garage, when Vincent hits Piper (but refuses to admit it and blames Piper instead and so on the story goes). Naturally, they cross paths again and the drama ensues from there when they decide to get into a mutually beneficial fake relationship.

Piper and Vincent cannot stand each other, constantly challenging and pushing back against one another. Their chemistry was fantastic, and I loved the connection that developed between them, and the banter they shared. The longer the pair spend time together, the more hopelessly in love they fall. The side characters were fantastic, and there was a twist I didn’t see coming, which led to a very big plot complication that I was eager to see play out.

Overall, this was such a fun read that had me giggling and swooning. There is a little bit of steam and spice, but this book is mainly plot and fun. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the e-ARC of this book 💕

From the moment I stepped into the world Leslie North crafted in Perfect (mis)Match, I found myself utterly ensnared. This book was an exhilarating ride that combines humor, tension, and an unexpected dose of heartwarming romance. Leslie’s storytelling draws you in, making the journey feel both immersive and relatable, and I can confidently say that it left a lasting impression on me.

At the center of this delightful story are Vincent and Piper, two characters whose chemistry is as electric as it is unexpected. From their very first encounter—one characterized by a rather unfortunate car accident—I was hooked. Piper’s fierce independence and flair for sharp wit immediately resonated with me. Her disdain for Vincent’s entitled demeanor and rich-boy facade is palpable, providing an engaging tension that kept me eager to see how the layers of their relationship would unravel. I appreciate how Leslie crafted Piper as a relatable protagonist; her resilience, determination, and quick tongue had me rooting for her from the start.

Vincent, on the other hand, is the quintessential brooding billionaire with a charming veneer that belies his deeper complexities. While he initially embodies everything I love to hate—entitled, dashing, and frustratingly handsome—Leslie does an excellent job of peeling back those layers.

As their fake relationship evolves into something deeper, we get glimpses of Vincent's vulnerability, which made my heart flutter when combined with his undeniable charm. The slow unfurling of their bond, laced with snappy banter and heated exchanges, had me laughing out loud as well as swooning at unexpected moments.

What stood out to me the most in this book is how North expertly navigates the tension between love and loathing. The push and pull of Piper and Vincent’s relationship is both hilarious and poignant, reminiscent of the best romantic comedies that I adore. Leslie’s skill in writing witty dialogue ensured that their verbal sparring felt fresh and engaging, keeping me on my toes with every page turn.

This book isn’t just a story of lust and attraction; it is a celebration of the chaos that occurs when two seemingly incompatible people are thrown together. It’s about the messiness of love—how it can surprise us in the most unexpected ways. As I turned the final pages, I was left with a delightful mix of satisfaction and yearning for more of Piper and Vincent's world.

Leslie North has wonderfully crafted a romance that is both hilarious and tender, filled with characters that will linger in your heart long after you've finished reading. If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh, swoon, and perhaps even rethink the meaning of a “perfect match,” then I wholeheartedly recommend this book. It's a delightful escape that rekindles the nostalgic thrill of falling in love.

Perfect (mis)Match by Leslie North is an enemies to lovers, grumpy X sunshine, fake dating office romance. The story follows Piper, who is a photographer and has a dream business she wants to get up with her close friend, and Vincent, who is the billionaire CEO of a fragrance company.

The main characters first meeting was a car crash (literally) and they despise each other, until Vincent needs Piper’s help and people skills to help him get access to what he needs for his new fragrance. They then strike up a mutually beneficial agreement with Vincent getting his ingredient and Piper getting introduced to a major business influence.

From the beginning, the main characters have undeniable chemistry and naturally a relationships develops from there.

Perfect (mis)Match is not groundbreaking, but is an easy read and a palate cleanser. I gave Perfect (mis)Match 3⭐️ and 2🌶️.

So I want to start by saying this is not my first book read by this author (Leslie North) and it will not be my last, she is a fantastic author and her books are very entertaining and well put together.
On to this book and these 2 main characters....
We have Vincent and Piper, who met in a very odd way. Fender Bender and a battle of whose fault it was. Well, Vincent comes off as a real grade-A jerk who thinks he is above everyone and Piper is a sassy, not one who is gonna put her in a corner woman on a mission. Boy, do they click but don't all at the same time. There is sooo much chemistry and so much banter and battling.
You get to know these two and really start to fall in love with them too. Rooting for them and loving to watch their adventures. When I say adventures it's in business, goals in their life and also in their relationship (love life).
This book will have you smiling, laughing out loud, sad and the most important thing is happy. HEA.

Enemies-to-lovers, working together (billionaire boss/co-worker), grumpy and sunshine and fake dating trope put all together.
There were so many wonderful times, so many crazy things, family dynamics/relationships and so much drama added into this fanatic book. It speaks on a few things like cheating but also has a bunch of character development and you get to see the character on that journey.
Oh, and the background characters are great. I truly loved quite a few of them (Richard; Vincent's dad, The Lost Boys, Nana and Paul; Piper's step-brother). Then you also have the few unlikeable characters but they were needed for this story.

This book is the first of a new series, Manhattan Bossholes #1. I can't wait to see what else happens in this series. Look forward to all the books to come out! :)

This is the story of Vincent and Piper
He has grown to believe there is no such thing as long lasting love, due to the bad example set by his father’s multiple divorces.

They Start hating each other due to him crashing into her car and behaving like the arrogant billionaire he is.

Then it turns into a fake dating situation that gives us a one bed trope

It’s funny, fast paced and we get to see the characters show different sides of who they are, making the first judgement they each have of the other invalid.

I loved all the ways the author weaves the aroma of flowers with emotions loved it also his group of friends “the lost boys” with the grandma (if there are more books I would love to see more of this) and I also loved hating his pickme ex girlfriend
