Come for the engagingly quirky characters and lovely streets of NYC, but stay for the descriptions of the "delicious" FOOD! It's obvious that the author is a foodie, including the former editor in chief at Gourmet magazine, as she has a wonderful way to let the reader savor the various foods in the book.
