Naomi's family is trying to buy a new home. The latest and best offer back out at the last minute, putting Naomi in a stressful bind! She has to have this new home! The flat they've lived in for years is just not big enough anymore. Going into a panic mode she grabs the next in line not really caring about anything but getting the new home. She meets Summer, the current bidder, and they bond immediately. They both have a 7 year old and chat like old friends. Done deal! it's not long after that that things start go south. Naomi has noticed the Summer got a haircut and dye and now Naomi says she resembles her so well, that she feels she's copying her, then dresses like her. Her friends who are being won over by Summer are pretty much telling Naomi she is so wrong, she's exaggerating and with all the stress with the house and other things going on, she's trying to accept but she's not. I will say that Naomi's friends highly disappointed me, are they really friends are just school mom/dad friends because this is how they are all acting. There are a handful of twists and turns and they keep me going. The discoveries through the book kept my interests high.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an arc.

Title: The Doll’s House
Author: Natasha Boydell
Genre: Psychological Thriller
Publisher: Boldwood Books
Pub Date: January 13,, 2025
My Rating: 4.5 Stars!
Pages 352
I was drawn to this by two things
It is a psychological Thriller
The title has Doll in it.
As I read and loved three stories that I can think of with ‘doll in the title that I soooo enjoyed. I gave these stories a 4+ or 5 star rating ~ Fiona Davis " The Dollhouse"; Lisa Unger’s " The Doll’s House", and more recently ~ Margarita Montimore’s "The Dollhouse Academy'".
In this story Naomi and her husband Oliver have lived in the same apartment for fifteen years and finally have saved up enough to buy their dream house-a place where their daughters seven year-old Freya and twelve-year old Bella will have their own room. However, the sale of their apartment has not gone well and they fear they may have to give up on their dream house.
At first, Naomi believes Summer has saved her when she wanted to buy her apartment. Naomi is impressed when she meets Summer. She tells she is she is a single mom and has a seven year old daughter Luna. Naomi is quick to share that her daughter is also sever and highly recommends the school that Freya attends. But as soon as the sale goes through, Summer is turning up at everything connected to Naomi. Yes Summer enrolled Luna in the same class and Naomi instructs Freya to be nice to her and she is but it doesn’t take long for Luna to turn on Freya. Naomi cannot believe what is happening including when Naomi discovers Summer has la little doll’s house that looks just like Naomi’s new home!
Wow! This had my head spinning on this WILD ride!!!!
I love psychological thrillers and trying to figure them out is always a fun challenge.
This has twists, turns and reveals that I DID NOT see coming!!!
This was my first author, Natasha Boydell and I will definitely read another!!!!!
Want to thank NetGalley and Boldwood Books for granted me this great thriller.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for - January 13, 2025.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to become friends with the person who buys your home? Naomi ponders this exact thought as she invites Summer to tea and subsequently throughout the beginning of the novel. Quickly Naomi finds her life spiraling. Her daughter is bullied at school and her friends desert her... for Summer. Summer, who now looks like Naomi, dresses like Naomi, sends her daughter to Naomi's daughter's school. But who is Summer really? More importantly, will Naomi find out before her life is shattered?
I devoured this book! It was an incredible read! I found myself trying to read faster and faster because it was just so good. The twists were terrific, the plot well thought out, and all the puzzle pieces clicked into place by the end. My favorite character was Naomi's young daughter Freya. My heart went out to her time and time again.
This book was amazing! Truly a must read for psychological thriller fans!

Wow this book was so entertaining! I honestly was anticipating it being a little cheesy based on the cover (I know, I know, don’t judge a book based on its cover lol). But it was so fun!! I didn’t guess the twist at the end, so that’s a win for me! Yes it was a little far fetched but I’m okay with that because I just had such a great time reading it!
Thank you to Natasha Boydell, Boldwood Books Ltd, and NetGalley for the ARC.

Awesome book!! Great author! Will be looking for more!!!!!!!!!!! Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book was riveting right from the get go although the story line was a bit slow moving at times. By skipping through most of the descriptive blurb, I moved through this book without losing any main happenings.
I also felt that I had read this book before as it had a very similar storyline to a book I read a few months ago and just cannot remember the name of!
Really enjoyed this book and will be looking out for this author's next offering!
Many thanx to NetGalley, the author and the publishers for allowing me to read and review this book

*All opinions are my own.*
"She lives in my old home, she looks like me, she dresses like me... And now she wants my life."
The Doll's House by Natasha Boydell is an intriguing and tense psychological thriller. Naomi's dream of owning a bigger house with a garden seems to have fallen through when the buyers of the apartment she lives in with her family back out of the deal at the last minute. Then Summer comes along. She is charming, kind and mysterious. Best of all she wants to make an offer on the apartment! With Naomi's move completed she can get back to her life with her husband Oliver and their two daughters Bella and Freya. When Summer shows up unannounced at the new house Naomi doesn't think much of it, just invites her in for a chat and possibly a new friendship. Naomi even clues Summer in to an opening in her daughter Freya's class for Summer's daughter Luna. When Naomi introduces Summer to the rest of the Year 3 parents, everyone is just as smitten with Summer as Naomi was. Then Naomi starts to notice some unsettling behavior from Summer and her daughter. Summer's new haircut looks vaguely like hers, and are those her ruby earrings? Why is her usually precocious daughter Freya suddenly feigning illness to get out of school?
This book is fast paced and very entertaining. I feel for Naomi as she struggles to find someone to listen to her when she tries to tell them that there is something weird about Summer. There was a great undertone of unease throughout this book which kept me hooked. I kept trying to piece together exactly what the motive was for Summer's behavior towards Naomi. I really enjoyed the lead up to the twists at the end, I couldn't stop flipping the pages in a bid to figure it all out. This was the first book that I have read by this author but definitely not my last!
Thank you to NetGalley, Natasha Boydell, and Boldwood Books for this ARC. Expected publishing date is January 13th 2025.

This was super suspenseful right from the start. There was an overall eerie feeling about Summer. This book had me turning my kindle pages so fast it froze. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy. Don’t miss this!!

Wow! Natasha Boydell took us on a ride with this one! The Doll's House is a suspenseful page-turner, packed with several jaw-dropping moments. It's twisted and intense, and I loved every minute of it!
Our main character, Naomi, decides to put her home up for sale as she and her family are outgrowing it. After her initial buyer drops out, Naomi is uncertain of what to do and whether her family will be able to move into the house of their dreams. Along comes Summer. Summer is beautiful, Summer is perfect, but most importantly, Summer is ready to buy Naomi's home. Naomi accepts Summer's offer, packs her family up, and moves into their new home. Everything seems great, until it is not. Things start getting a little weird with Summer, and Naomi gets the feeling that something is up. But what is it?
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It was impossible for me to put down! Summer is delulu and I loved it! The revelation/ twist at the end- huge shocker! There were points where I found myself questioning the title choice (The Doll's House) but it all came together perfectly by the end. Boydell did a great job with this one! 4 stars!
Thank you NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Natasha Boydell for this captivating read!

I enjoyed this one it was intense full of super brilliant twists unable to put it down.
I liked Naomi and felt connected to her story from the start
Gripping fantastic story line brilliant characters

Naomi is devastated when the sale of the apartment falls through, her dreams of moving to an amazing ‘forever home’ nearby with her family are momentarily dashed. But then a sweet-natured single mother named Summer appears, announcing her intention to buy Naomi’s old apartment. And all of a sudden, it looks like Naomi might get her new house after all.
At first, it feels like Summer’s saved her life. But as soon as the sale goes through, Summer starts turning up at Naomi’s new house. She’s enrolled her child in Naomi’s daughter’s class. She’s dressing like Naomi. She’s suddenly best friends with all her friends… And then Naomi discovers she’s got a pretty little doll’s house. One that looks just like Naomi’s new home.
This is one of the best psychological thrillers of the year for me. I don't like the stalker trope generally, but it was done really well here. I highly recommend this one! 5⭐
I received an advanced complimentary digital copy of this book from Netgalley. Opinions expressed are my own.

Thank you Netgalley and Boldwood books for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.
Naomi has everything she wished from her life that is until Summer bought her apartment. And then things start getting weird, Summer dresses like Naomi, changes hair colour to match Naomi. Then suspicious things happen which makes Naomi doubt Summer but she can't ever prove it.
Pro:
The book is very well written and you can feel the dread that Naomi feels.
Con:
The book could have been shorter.

I wish I would not have read this immediately after The Ends of Things. The Ends of Things had an obsessive character that drove me insane, and this book ALSO had an obsessive character. I feel like this component made me dislike this book because I was tired of reading about obsession. I will say, about 75% into the book it did start to get good and I really enjoyed the twists! The main character had a reason to be suspicious for sure!

The more I read, the more I was starting to question my own sanity.
This 5/5 stars easily. Everything I want in a thriller. So many twists, right to the end. I wish I could go back and read The Dolls House for the first time again.
This was the first book of Natasha Boydell's that I've read, and I can't wait to read her other work.

A nice easy read that kept me interested and had a few unexpected plot twists. I really enjoyed this book because it’s a thriller that’s not so outlandish that it couldn’t actually happen. I did get a bit irritated at how clueless the main character was at strategically proving her suspicions.

Yes, yes, yes!
The Doll's House by Natasha Boydell is a brilliant psychological thriller that will mess with your mind and make you question everything. This story creates so many emotions that you want to explode! And this is what I like! I like emotions, I like to be confused with what the hell is happening, I like it when my heart pounds and I can't see how this story will wrap up.
This book was unique in the fact that I became annoyed with most of the characters, literally, nearly every single one deserved to be hated. That's mad!
Naomi and Oliver sold their flat to finally have a house and more space. They are staying in the same village so same friends, schools, and daily life. Problems start when Summer, the new owner of the flat tries to become Naomi!
There is a lot in this story and you will question everyone!
Thank you, NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this copy!

I just finished this one, what a twisty thriller! Although i think there are sections of the story that are way too drawn out (the book could easily be 75 pages shorter), once it got some momentum it had my full attention! Naomi was a good lead character, although she did seem a little paranoid/jumping to conclusions from the jump. Not sure if the ending was a little too abrupt in the main story, but the epilogue! Good stuff! This was a solid 4 star read, and I would normally read something like this with an audiobook. Good read!

It is a slow paced psychological thriller. Storyline is predictable with unreliable characters and selfish people. Naomi is confused about the true intentions of Summer, who is trying to take Naomi's place among her friends and family. It's just that there are other domestic thrillers where one unhinged woman tried to take place of other woman. There's not something new or exciting. There are some twists and revelations, and the ending is okay. Overall, it was an easy-to-read book. Recommended to domestic thriller fans. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC.

Naomi is devasted when her plans to sell her apartment falls thru and she is not able to buy her forever home. but then summer appears and buys the apartment, but summer seems to be taking over Naomi's life. good thriller

The reviews on the promotion are pretty misleading and I soon realised that this was not my genre of choice. It ones under a chic lit drama type heading and was a rather predictable read. Characters you wouldn’t want to mix with in real life in fact hopefully they wouldn’t even exist in the real world. Sorry not one for me.
