Following on from Weave the Lightning, The Storm’s Betrayal dives back into its stunning, magic-infused world inspired by the Russian Revolution. It’s a gripping story, full of romance, betrayal, and heartbreak, and it really makes you think about the cost of freedom and how grief shapes us. It had been a while since I’d read book one, so I struggled with certain elements as I’d forgotten what had happened - definitely worth a reread or a recap beforehand.

This book was good, but I needed to read more from this author before reading this book! I felt it was necessary as it was a 2nd in the series, but overall, it was great, Definitely did world building, even thought you didn’t read the 1st. I completely recommend this book, but I feel like the depth in the plot could be better. It would make sense if they are setting up for a 3rd book, but I wasn’t exactly sure.

A fun follow-up to a fresh and original fantasy! Definitely recommended! Thank you to NetGalley and to Rebellion for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review!

A really enjoyable follow up to Book 1 with even more edge of your seat action. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Corry L Lee does it again in this sequel to the Bourshkanya Trilogy series, it had that overall feel that I was looking for from the first book. It had that romance element and enjoyed it in this fantasy world. The characters had that overall feel that I wanted and continued the story perfectly. I’m excited to read more in this series and more from Corry L Lee.

So so good. Loved every single second of this book. I recommend everyone to read this book as fast as they can because it's really good and the characters are fantastic and the story is immaculate.
