"The Monsters We Are" is a truly compelling and thought-provoking read that delves deep into complex moral questions. The narrative is incredibly engaging, building a palpable sense of tension and unease as it explores the darker facets of human nature and society. I was particularly impressed by the nuanced character development and the way the story challenges preconceived notions. It's a book that stayed with me long after I finished it, prompting genuine reflection. My only very minor note is that a couple of the transitions felt a touch abrupt, but this is a small point in an otherwise powerful and impactful novel. Highly recommended for those who enjoy stories that make you think.

😂😂😂 I’m laughing so hard at that ending, SW really knows how to bring the humour to her books. Every single book I’ve read of hers just delivers everything you want. I’m sad this trilogy is finished now but also excited for whatever series SW comes up with next. Loved this book and the characters, especially the coven. Thank you for an amazing read! Perfect for PNR readers.

I was so confused about every single aspect of this book. The plot made zero sense, and I just couldn’t connect with the characters!

Final book in the series! Overall, I found Suzanne Wright’s storytelling to be engaging and entertaining as usual, keeping you reading. There were some issues I found with the repetitive nature of the character dynamics, which can be quite boring to read over and over again. I also really find miscommunication tropes quite frustrating if the reason doesn’t seem to make any sense.

for me, suzanne wright’s books are mind-numbing entertainment that never demands my full, undivided attention; however, they manage to satisfy me with an enjoyable narrative. they don’t contain detailed small crises or jaw-dropping moments to create an intricate long-plot, but the stories are fun and amusing, and the characters are usually humorous and distinct. we’re always offered the sassiest female lead to have ever existed, who somehow manages to captivate the untamable male lead character, accompanied by a cohort of side characters who offer amusing exchanges and quirky personalities. i’m sure the intention of suzanne wright’s latest series was supposed to be fulfilling, but it was the total opposite—boring, awfully written and expressed itself as nothing more than a smut-filled fanfiction of your favourite characters. i feel like this could’ve been an enjoyable read, if it benefitted from an extreme amount of editing and polishing, reworking some plot-lines and with broadened, but finessed world-building and magic systems.

Wow what an incredible story in this fabulous series. The conclusion to this part of the series was so intricate and well thought out it blew my mind. I was sad at the end tho. I’m not ready to leave Devils Cradle just yet. I’m really hoping that other characters we’ve come to love will get their own hea. The narration was superb it totally enhanced the story for me. It brought the book to life. I can’t recommend this series highly enough.

This is bittersweet. I’m so happy that these two got their HEA that being said I’m sad to say goodnight. Though with Suzanne, you never know…

Winter’s continuous kidnapping, I found hilarious. I just don’t understand why people thought they can win. If I was them, I would have never even attempted😂

Book three has all the things I enjoyed about in book 1 & 2. I loved Winter’s relationship with her coven. No shocker that I think they are literally the funniest, coolest, nuttiest coven ever. I am hoping that some of them get their own book in the future. I’m curious to see how they would be as lead.

I enjoyed Cain’s obsession and possessiveness towards Winter. I liked that Cain was protective but not controlling. Did he want to wrap her in bubble wrap and never let her out of his side, yes, but did he ever do that? No. I really enjoyed reading about their relationship developing even more.

I am still curious about Az that hasn’t changed.

Also can we take a moment of silence for that little crossover at the end!!!

I look forward to the many wonderful books Suzanne writes in the future, in the meantime I will just re-read some of already published books💕💕

An incredible ending to this series! I love the detail throughout this book and how there is a mixture of everything to keep you engaged. I can appreciate the difficulty in writing the final book in a series but this has been done superbly.

The final book in this epic story. The relationship between Wynter and Cain continues to be as passionate as ever. I loved the story and the epic battle scenes that hat a way to end a trilogy.

This is Suzanne Wrights most ambitious world so far. Gods, ancients, aeons, millennia long wars and grudges. It was a lot and I almost wish I would have done a reread of books 1 and 2. I really loved how everything came together in the end. There were still a few unanswered questions and those were all answered by the end of the novel.

It's always hard to read a last book in a series, because it's hard to say goodbye to characters who you love and have watched grow.
This was a great ending to a trilogy I will always remember.
Thank you for this story.

When I was reading the first book in the series, I discovered the third book on Netgalley. Since I was really enjoying myself with the first book, I put in my request for the third book right away and I was very happy that Piatkus granted me a digital copy. And then I forgot to read the second book, which means I could only start reading this third book last week.

This series is a mix of so many amazing elements. Yes, this is firstly a romance, but this romance has an exciting plot with a lot of danger and quite power opponents trying to rip the happily ever after away from Wynter and Cain. The mythology can get a little complicated at times, even in this third book new things are being added, and yet I love how the author used all those Biblical characters and elements to craft this story.

I must admit that this third book dragged a little at times. As a reader you know it’s a matter of time before the final confrontation will take place. The author finds some ways to delay that moment and make the book longer, but those delays don’t add much. The relationship is already quite established by now and we know that Adam is a horrible person.

However, I really loved how everything came together in the end. There were still a few unanswered questions and those were all answered by the end of the novel. Some small remarks are worked into the finale in a great way and when I read the epilogue I had a huge smile on my face. I will miss those characters. The author did an amazing job giving them an edge, while still making it easy to care about them.

I will for sure check out other books by this author in the future!

What a conclusion to Cain and Wynter’s story!

To be honest, the first half dragged a little but the second half was amazing.
What I enjoyed the most was how much Cain and Wynter cared for each other. The relationship progress from first book to this book was beautiful to watch. Saying he was obsessed with Wynter is understatement of the year. Blood rose coven as usual was a hoot. God, i’ll never get over their antics. There were some twists that I didn’t see coming but enjoyed it nevertheless.

Overall if you love Dark in you series, you will enjoy this one too.

P.s that epilogue was so unexpected and I loved it!

Can’t be read as standalone.

I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

Absolutely loved the book. Really enjoyed the character development and how well the world was built. Would love to see stories about the other ancients finding love.

This is the eagerly awaited final book of the trilogy. As usual, readers would benefit from having read the previous two books. The plot was intricate, and was funny and yet intense in places. Cain and Wynter were both powerful characters and steadfast in their commitment to each other. I think there may be potential for further books to include characters from this one so we can discover how their lives developed. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was so glad to be able to finish Cain and Wynter’s story! I loved the progression through out and the ending. I of course love all of the side characters as well. Wynter’s nutty coven and all of the ancients. I especially loved getting a peak of Khloe and Devon in the epilogue!

Thank you to suzanne wright and NetGalley for giving me an arc of this book.

We've finally come to the end of Winters and Cains story and man im going to miss them. This trilogy has been exciting and fun and one of my favourite series of Suzanne's. I hope this is not the end of this group of friends and we get to have books for winters clan. The final book did not disappoint at all, all the secrets have been revealed and nothing felt left unanswered, Winter will forever be one of my favourite female characters and hope to see her in future books.if you like fantasy with a lot of action and romance i would highly recommend this series !

Can't wait to see what else this author has for us.
