You thought she was safe. You were wrong . . .

Lauren can't wait to see her daughter again, to pick her up from university at the end of her first term. But when she arrives at her hall and knocks on the door to her room, a stranger opens it.

At first, Lauren thinks she must have the wrong room, or the wrong floor. Maybe even the wrong building.

But she soon realises the truth: Evie's not there. She hasn't been there for weeks. So where is she?

Following one family's desperate race against time as one terrifying moment unravels into a living nightmare, The Daughter is the unmissable new heart-in-mouth thriller from the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Mother and The Dream Home.

Fabulous page turning stuff. If you are looking for a stay up all night unputdownable book then this is the one to choose.

As with all of the authors previous books the storyline is fast paced, thrilling and grips the reader from the start with a brilliant hook, in this case the disappearance of Lauren’s daughter Evie. What starts as a mum collecting her slightly rebellious daughter from her first term at university only to find she is not there and in fact has not been there for some time becomes a thrilling ride and fight to find her. The story is so compelling that I had to keep reading to see what would happen and the characters were so well constructed I fully believed in them and couldn’t wait to find out what was coming next.

A great book, one I highly recommend and a definite for the to be read asap list.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fast paced, tense and twisty read. There was a great twist that I didn't see coming at all which I always like. I feel like it could've been a bit shorter but apart from that I enjoyed this and flew through it.

Wow wow wow - T.M. Logan does it again.

We stan T.M. Logan as an author, and have read every book in his catalogue so I was so super excited to have this one approved.

I flew through this book, it was so beautifully written with the right amount of drama, suspense and being unputdownable.

As a mother, finding out that your daughter is 'missing' is awful. This wasnt written like a typical ITV drama where you think you know what is going to happen - I was genuinely shocked by the twists.

A 5* read from me!

I think this is my favourite T.M Logan book yet. It is a really heart in your mouth type of thriller. I really felt for the mum not knowing where her daughter was. I can absolutely see this being a TV series.

Fast-paced; suspenseful and gripping. Everything we have come to expect and love from T M Logan. There is something about this writing style that takes over your life for the few days it takes you to get from one cover to the other. Can’t wait to recommend this to any and every mystery thriller fan.

Well, TM Logan has done it again! He's managed to take a real-life parent fear and turn it into a cracking thriller. Having had two of my children go to university, there's always the fear that you don't really know what they're up to and whether they're safe. It's hard to let go but you have to allow them their freedom. Things have been tense between Lauren and her daughter, Evie, but Lauren's excited to pick her up for the Christmas holidays. When she discovers that her daughter hasn't been at university for most of the term, Lauren sets out to find her missing daughter. The story takes a dark and dramatic turn but always stays plausible - scarily so. There's a fabulous twist towards the end that made me gasp out loud but I'm not going to share any more than that. This is a book that just has to be read!

I’ve just finished this book and I’m speechless. I found it easy to read and is such a fast paced thriller I was speeding my way through it, holding my breathe at times.

As a mother myself I could only imagine the terror Lauren felt when she turned up at her daughter Evie’s university to bring her home only to find out she had disappeared without trace .

As Lauren turns over every stone to try and find her daughter, she uncovers a complex web of deceit , lies and criminal activity.

The twist and turns in this book were amazing , with one in particular blowing my mind. Gripping and skilfully plotted this book was a first class read for me.

Combining elements of psychological thrillers, pure thrillers and organised crime, this is a fast-paced book focusing on Lauren, whose university-aged daughter Evie has gone missing. The more Lauren and her young son Lucas try to discover the truth, the more secrets they uncover, and the greater peril they face. I really enjoyed the twists in this book - particularly the major one towards the end, and my heart was pounding as I raced through the pages. A great read.

Thank you to T.M. Logan, Bonnier Books and Netgalley for my advance copy.

Wow! That was an epic read!!

I’ve read all of TM Logan’s books and he never disappoints. His latest offering THE DAUGHTER it just off the hook fantastic! I read it in two days and struggled to put it down because every chapter ended on a cliff hanger and before I knew it I was half way through. I feel a bit giddy either way how fast I was reading.

The main character Lauren is brilliantly scripted. So womanly in her thinking, actions and persona it’s crazy that she was written by a man because she’s so believable and relatable. All the characters are fantastically written and the ‘bad guys’ really are bad guys!!

So many twists, turns, somersaults and back flips it’s amazing I managed to keep up! This book is a real testament to the brilliance of TM Logan’s storytelling. He really keeps you guessing and applies the pressure slowly and relentlessly.

If you’ve never read TM Logan before, start now, start here, pick any of his books and I guarantee you’ll be hooked.

Thanks to NetGalley for my advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

Another great book from T M Logan.

When Lauren goes to pick up her daughter from University for the Christmas break she finds Evie is no longer there and hasnt been for some time.

What then unfolds is a gripping storyline of a mother searching to find her missing daughter. This story has a lot of twists and turns and proved me wrong whenever I thought the storyline was going in a certain direction. I would definitely recommend this book, Thanks to netgalley for ARC.

The daughter is packed full of suspense and emotion. The story pulled me in from the Very first page and kept me guessing until the jaw dropping Finale. Family secrets, love and betrayal keeping the tension high. The characters are relatable and complex, the tests are perfect. If your a fan of psychological thrillers this is for you.

Wow that was a crazy rollercoaster of a story! I quite literally couldn't put this book down, I was truly hooked. I thought I had the story line figured out a couple of times but was completely wrong, and did not expect this story to go the way that it went at all. I think this may be my favourite TM Logan book yet. The characterisation in this book was brilliant. I could absolutely feel the tension, suspense and fear throughout. This would make an amazing, action packed thriller film. I have no other words other than to say if you are a thriller fan, read this book!

T.M Logan is one of my favourite authors so when I seen this I knew I was going to be in for an amazing thriller and wow it did not disappoint. I loved everything about it. It was a suspenseful read which draws you in from the first page until the very last. I loved the writing style and how well developed the characters were written. The pace was great with many twists and turns.

Lauren is picking up her daughter, Evie, from university for the Chris bread but when she gets there Evie isn’t there a stranger is in Evie’s room. Lauren tried to call Evie to find out what is going on but her phone is unavailable so Lauren sets out to find out were her daughter is but by doing so she may be putting her son in danger.

I honestly can’t recommend this book enough it had everything you want from a thriller. I loved it! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this great book I can’t wait to read more from this author.

A really good thriller with plenty of twists that has you thinking you’ve worked it all out, only to find out that you’re wrong! I have read a few books by this author and this was one of the best.

Firstly T.M. Logan is a phenomenal writer and his books are always fantastic - The Daughter is no different. I could not wait to pick it up and when I did I just could not put it down. It had me hooked from start to finish with all the unexpected twists and turns and I was so invested in just how Lauren was going to discover what had happened to her missing daughter Evie.
The story was so well paced and action packed that I could not predict what would happen next and every surprising twist bought gasps from me as the story unfolded.
I cannot recommend The Daughter more highly - I urge everyone to pick up a copy as you will not be disappointed.

This was a brilliant fast-paced thriller which I loved ending 2024 with. The plot hooks you in quickly and doesn't let you go, providing plenty of twists and turns to keep you enthralled. The characters are all really well fleshed out and I really emphasised with Lauren as she desperately tries to locate her missing daughter. I liked the occasional chapters from Evie too, offering an alternative perspective. You do have to suspend your disbelief at certain parts of the book but this isn't something that bothers me too much as it was overall such an enjoyable read.

The Dream Home was one of my favourites of the year so I was excited to get an early read of TM Logan’s latest thriller The Daughter — and I wasn’t disappointed! When Lauren picks up her daughter for Christmas break at Uni, she discovers Evie is missing and no one has seen her for weeks. The police aren’t overly concerned so Lauren embarks on her own search assisted by 12 year old son Lucas (I loved this aspect with a kid as an unlikely sidekick!) As well as Lauren’s POV, we also see flashbacks from Evie’s POV in the lead up to her disappearance which adds to the suspense and intrigue. About halfway through, the book takes an unexpected turn and becomes more fast-paced and action-packed. I did guess some twists but others left me genuinely surprised. Another winner from TM Logan!

Back in September Lauren dropped her daughter Evie off at Queen Anne’s University, it is now December and the end of term and Lauren returns to Queen Anne’s University to pick up Evie up ready for the holidays but where is Evie? And why does no one know that Evie was ever there? Lauren along with Evie’s younger brother go on a search to find Evie.

I was super excited to receive a copy of TM Logan’s new book and it did not disappoint! I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put the book down. The ending was brilliant and completely shocked me- I really wasn't expecting it to end how it did. Highly recommend this book!
