Laura Day has shared yet another insightful, eminently practical guide to living a whole-bodied life using every sense and bit of intuition a person can access with THE PRISM. As a longtime fan of her work, I was once again captivated by her clear style and practical wisdom and enjoyed the hands-on practices throughout this useful guide. I received a copy of this book and these opinions are my own, unbiased thoughts.

I have always loved weaving a little Laura Day into my weekly reading. When it comes to self-help, I rarely read in a straight line. I prefer to follow instinct, sampling a few pages here and there, letting intuition guide me toward what resonates.
With The Prism, it was different. Each chapter pulled me forward, each one feeling like a conversation worth finishing. The writing is clear and accessible, even if at times a bit repetitive, and Day offers thoughtful, actionable steps for realigning with your truest self and moving closer to the life you imagine.
There was a time when I felt hesitant to share my appreciation for non-religious spiritual books. Now, I see it differently. There is something deeply human about the desire to grow, to heal, to reach for more with intention and grace. The Prism meets you right there, offering a gentle but persistent nudge to listen closely to yourself and step into your best life.

"The Prism: Seven Steps to Heal Your Past and Transform Your Future" by Laura Day
My Insight:
"The Prism: Seven Steps to Heal Your Past and Transform Your Future" is beautifully written, making it easy for readers to understand. I particularly enjoyed how the author shared chapters about her own life. One part that resonated with me was this: "Of all the roles we play in our lives, maybe the hardest one to find is our most effective self, the one that can create what we want in the world, regardless of what we've been told we are—or aren't. The Prism serves as a template to help us define that role, allowing us to choose who we want to be and what world we want to build around ourselves and share with others." This book is remarkable because it brings out the extraordinary in us. I couldn't express it any better. You should pick up this enriching read; I know it will benefit you greatly.
Thank you, Net Gallery, and Spiegel & Grau for a good read.

Based on the description I was expecting more philosophy, psychology, or neuroscience, but the blurb is somewhat misleading and downplays the extent to which this book is heavy on spirituality (even straying into woo woo territory).

What I loved most about this book is how the author weaved her life story to bring home the power of her personal experience and why she is someone to listen to. What I learned most from this book is being exposed to a unique perspective about Psychic abilities and the Chakras and practical techniques to bring about greater intuition, healing and the manifestation of goals. Some of the techniques were more appealing than others to give a try and overall I took away a lot to expand my current practice. What I liked least about this book is the author's need to separate herself from the "New Age- Hippie Dippie" type folk and terms in the mainstream to describe what she is and what she does. But I guess if you know who your audience is, you appeal to them by your writing style and tone. Overall, very useful information to share.

Laura Day, the bestselling author of Practical Intuition, delivers a powerful and transformative guide in her latest book, The Prism. Renowned as a consultant to billion-dollar corporations and Hollywood’s elite, Day brings her expertise in intuition and personal growth to the forefront, creating a programme designed to help readers heal their past, reshape their present, and achieve the future they deserve.
Building on the success of her earlier work, Day reveals a deeply personal side to her story, sharing insights rooted in her own dark family history. These experiences have informed her understanding of human nature and now underpin the principles presented in The Prism. The book identifies seven critical stages of personal growth that can either hinder our progress or help us thrive. By employing intuitive methods to examine our roles, beliefs, and realities, readers are guided step by step towards inner peace, personal growth, and meaningful success.
Day’s method, developed over a decade and tested with thousands of students, integrates scientific principles, ancient wisdom, and her intuitive intelligence. It offers practical strategies for improving relationships, achieving financial stability, and turning life’s setbacks into opportunities for growth. Her underlying belief is that every person is born with the potential to thrive, and The Prism serves as an accessible guide to unlocking that potential.
I found The Prism to be an insightful and enriching read, especially as someone previously unfamiliar with the subject. Day’s writing is both engaging and accessible, making complex ideas easy to understand and apply. For readers seeking a book that blends self-discovery with actionable steps towards transformation, The Prism is a compelling and worthwhile choice.
