𝗠𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦: This is the second book in the Kings of Campus series & follows Gavin & Sienna (who you meet in the first book)! Gavin knows Sienna is off limits because his teammate & best friend Cooper would not be happy that Gavin wanted to pursue his little sister. Gavin tries his hardest to avoid Sienna, but his attraction to her becomes inevitable. Sienna also tries to distance herself from Gavin but it isn’t successful which leads to some secret hookups & eventually a secret relationship. I loved the forbidden aspect & having to sneak around but the moment once Gavin & Sienna decide they want to publicly display their relationship was so stinking sweet!

One thing about me? I’m always going to pick up a siblings best friend romance. This did not disappoint. I absolutely loved Sienna and Gavin. The tension, and the banter. Over multiple yearssssss. Sienna was funny and whitty and knew exactly what she wanted. Gavin was definitely a golden retriever at times. But also at times really irritated me with coming across as only wanting that booty 🤦🏻‍♀️ but the way he grew and matured throughout the book was everything. I absolutely love this series, loved getting to see all my favorite characters from End Game, and can’t wait for the rest of the series.

This is a great football, college romance, best friend’s sister’s book. Sienna has wanted Gavin for years. And Gavin has played the not interested card. However, was that all an act? The two begin to sneak around. And the chemistry between them is explosive. I love how Sienna doesn’t give up. She definitely gets frustrated, but also knows what’s at stake. Gavin just can’t hide it anymore. He tries so hard. I loved reading about these two in End Game and couldn’t wait for their story. It is definitely worth the wait.

5 The Truth Comes Out Stars!!

I love being back on this college campus and so happy I got to read Gavin and Sienna’s book. We met these two in End Game and I could tell there was so much that we didn’t know about and oh boy when we finally find out, I had answers to my thoughts/questions.

These two do everything they can to avoid each other, but given they have the same circle of friends and her brother is Gavin’s best friend, it’s almost impossible to not be in each other’s orbits. Ms. Murphy did a wonderful job of building up the tension and making us wonder if everything would lead them back to each other. Gavin has goals and he doesn’t think he can be distracted by a girl no matter how much he wants her.

As the book progresses, their witty banter is on fire, the chemistry between them had me opening all my windows and doors to cool myself off and what it all comes down to, is are they willing to risk what they thought their future looked like before they give in to their feelings. This is a perfect addition to this series and I’m really hoping we’re going to see these characters again!

#Review: *Play It Off* - Monica Murphy - ARC [18+]
4.6/5✨
3/5🌶️

I've waited for this book for a while and it really didn't disappoint me!💗 Super grateful to be part of Monica's team, to be able to share this beautie with you all.

Sienna is Coop's little sister, being the one who was having a little crush for one of his best friends and teammate, Gavin Maddox. They had a brif moment together in Sienna's freshman, but nothing started from that, but that only let Sienna with an emptiness in her heart, which will always make her compare other boys with him.

Gavin has tried his best not to make any moves towards Sienna, but it became nearly impossible to resist her and every wall was at risk of crumbling in his senior year. He was certain that once he had her, he couldn't put a stop to his feelings, being at the same time pretty jealous when it came to Sienna. But she was off limits because he was his best friend's sister and he really needed to focus on his football career, being his last year of school. But can he resist the temptation for that time remaining?

Gavin and Sienna gave me such great vibes! It was super interesting to follow their secret crush and, later on, a bit of forbidden love. They had something special about them, loving their personal stories and how fragile they seemed in those moments of uncertainty. Both of the were having a tough time: Gavin constantly being pressured by his father, who was never pleased by him, and Sienna was struggling to always be in her brother's shadow, which made her uncertain about her support in what she wanted to do.

The push and pull between them was so delicious, never knowing what to expect from them: love or hate. But all that tension made things sooo good and the result was definitely explosive!🤭

The fact that I finished reading this book in just one sitting makes it pretty obvious that I looved this story, being impossible to stop. There was never a dull moment, always happening something interesting which kept my attention at the highest level.

Off the charts chemistry!

Now these two had already interested me in End Game. Their drama peaked through the cracs of pages, and I just knew I was going to have to read their story!

The chemistry Gavin and Sienna had was undeniable. They sparked and they blazed, but they also brought the sweetness.

Play It Off is full of flaming banter, masked flirting, cat and mouse games, swoons, secrets, drama, angst, great friendships, romance and emotion.

I loved every minute spent reading it.

@monicamurphyauthor you promised book 2 would have more spice and you did not disappoint! But beyond the spice this book was so cute. Love their friend group and Sienna and Gavin’s path to love. The night he shows up to Sienna’s apartment after he sees her on a date with another man 🥵😮‍💨 Lastly Ryland can fuck right off - take a hint bro. Hate that guy 😆

Thank you @monicamurphyauthor & @valentine_pr_ for the ARC!

Gavin and Sienna

Both Gavin and Sienna had secret crushes on each other. After almost hooking up and done miscommunication they kind of avoided each other for about 2 years.

I really liked Sienna’s character. She is outgoing and pretty open about her feelings. Strong female characters are definitely a plus. Gavin was a bit of a mystery. We get his point of view and he turned out to be a great book boyfriend. Caring, responsible and truly in love with Sienna.

This story gives us great characters, angst and an easy to follow plot.

Book 2 in the series of college football players and the ladies that help them grown into better people.

Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice 🌶️🌶️

These books feature a cute found family of football players. This book is about Sienna and Gavin. And the timeline is similar to the first book so that is fun.

Sienna has always loved Gavin and he knows it. He likes her too but fear of loosing her brother as his bests friend and quarterback pressure prevents him from making his move.

Will Gavin be able to put his doubts aside and give in? Or will he give up the best thing that could to happen to him ?

Sienna has had a crush on Gavin Maddox since her freshman year of college. Out of all the possible guys to be interested in, Sienna is very much obsessed with one man- Gavin Maddox. The problem? Gavin is her brother’s best friend. After a heated moment between the two of them, they’ve avoided each other as much as possible. Now, 2 years later, the tension between them is even thicker. Gavin wants the distraction of Sienna to go away, but the distraction only seems to get worse. Can Gavin and Sienna work together to ensure their happiness?

I absolutely adore Gavin and Sienna and this book was everything I needed and more. After reading the first book, I knew that the story of Sienna and Gavin would get me laughing, crying and more, and it did. The tension, and sexual banter led to the most beautiful parts of their story.

Going back to this world was epic. I absolutely loved Nico and Evers story but Gavin and Siennas was even better. I did hate how long it took for Gavin to even remotely get his head out of his rump but…seeing as how he at least attempted to bridge the gap…I’ll give him a pass. Sienna is smart, beautiful and kind…but her flaw is she’s in love with a man that just isn’t ready for all she could give him. Until he sees her out with another man…that kicks him in his carcass or actually I think he feels it in the posterior region rather than the posterior but you get the point. What Sienna and Gavin could have is the stuff dreams are made of …and they just found each other before it was the right time. Then finally the stars a line the planets and in the correct position and it happens the moment we have all been waiting for…but then chaos reigns and their friends are let in on the secrets…can they come back from this or will it render them paralysis romantically…especially when Coop finds out… Sorry that’s all I can say. It was awesome. And seeing Nico and Ever fall in love again was wonderful too. Seeing it from the outside this time around. Now I need Dollar and Coops HEAs. Come on Monica when are you going to get me out of my misery waiting for Coop especially.

Thank you to the author and ValentinePr for providing me an ARC of this book.

5/5 stars. I absolutely LOVED this book. Monica Murphy delivers yet another swoon-worthy, emotional, and addictive story with all the feels. Gavin and Sienna's story had me hooked from the start—full of longing, tension, forbidden love, and that irresistible chemistry Monica does so well.

Sienna is the teammate’s little sister, Gavin is the star quarterback trying to keep his focus—but when chemistry like this is in the air, how long can they keep avoiding each other? I devoured their story, rooted for them the whole way, and now I miss them already.

Whether you love brother’s best friend tropes, college football settings, or stories with heart, heat, and angst—this is your next favorite read!

Play it Off

Thank you Monica Murphy and team for the advance reading 📖

Rate :4 ⭐️

Sienna had a thing for Gavin since freshman year Gavin knew she was off limits since she is his best friend’s little sister after all the main goal was to play pro no need for distraction after that moment how can he denied feeling something for Sienna. Boundaries is what they needed. I think 💭

My opinions 💬

Even if Gavin didn’t want to realize I did believe he fell for Sienna first before the moment they had you can’t tell me other wise.
I hated Gavin’s parents especially the dad like why would you treat your son like that.
Sienna she is adorable to say the least

A fun read for this book, where Sienna has had a crush on Gavin, the QB of the football team where her brother plays, for more than two years.

Since their intricate relationship, the keep going on and of with it, because Gavin is mainly cared of commitment and Sienna, though her crush on him, is scared of being rejected, to be put on the backburner like she has experienced all her life.

More or less is a fun and fast read, though there were some things I would have liked the author spent more time. Like in book 1 when Nico organised the dinner to apologise after the yoga practice and Sienna stormed out of the dinner because of Gaving, it was not addressed in book 2 at all.

Still, thanks to the author and @netgalley and @valentine_pr_ 's PR for the arc. All opinions are my own.

Sienna has had a thing for Gavin since before she started college. As her brother's teammate and best friend, though, he should be off limits. I liked that the book started off with a glimpse of her freshman year so you get a sense of their mutual attraction and why things are awkward now two years later.

Monica Murphy writes great series in which she builds up the cast of characters with each book, so you can't wait to get their story. Gavin was an interesting character and he had a connection with Sienna that was undeniable. Monica did a nice job with the relationship development as there was some push and pull as they definitely had some obstacles to get through before their HEA.

Play It Off is a great addition to the series and I am already looking forward to more from this series!

Since the last book I couldn’t wait to get Gavin and Sienna’s story. Sienna is the younger sister of Gavin’s best friend and teammate. Her freshman year her and Gavin kissed. But it ended there. And the last two years they have done their best to avoid each other. Which isn’t easy when Sienna is good friends with her brother and his other teammates. So they are around each other often. Despite that Sienna still has a crush on Gavin. And now they’ve called a truce. But staying friends isn’t easy with the attraction they have to each other. There is good banter and plenty of chemistry. I look for to the next book in the series.

A mutual crush that turns into secret and forbidden romance. Sienna has had a crush on Gavin, the star quarterback at college and her brother’s teammate, for a couple of years. He secretly harbored a crush on her too. The spice was steamy once they finally expressed their feelings for each other. I had to remind myself a couple of times that the characters were still in college and therefore young, as some of their actions did seem immature, unrealistic and exaggerated. Overall, a lighthearted, quick college romance read.
