Okay, yes, I was sold by the title alone. I mean, is there anyone out there who can read Digging Dr. Jones and not hear it in Short Round’s voice?! With those big shoes to fill, I dug in... and loved it. Treasure hunting with a hot archaeologist? Sign me up. Add a touch of yearning, another team hot on their trail, a buried treasure, and some long-awaited spice, and Mama’s a happy girl.
On vacation in Costa Rica with her brother William, Adriana never expected a mysterious bracelet to be delivered to her room, or everything that would come with it. Enter: Andrew Jones. Excessively tall, drop-dead gorgeous, and, oh yeah, a very determined archaeologist.
There’s just one hitch: the bracelet won’t come off, and Andrew needs it. Which means Adriana is now along for the ride. She has to join him to unlock a pirate’s chest that could lead them to a long-lost treasure deep in the jungles of Colombia. Sounds easy, right?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s fast-paced but still a slow burn, just how I like it. Andrew and Adriana were lovely. Truly lovely. Their journey made my heart sing. It was sweet, honest, and then... oh, so smutty. It gave me Romancing the Stone vibes (which is very high praise coming from me).
I’m so happy I got the chance to read this one. Highly recommend!

This was so cuute!!
It’s giving: rom-com, Indiana Jones, a quest, friendship and so much yearning.
It was a bit cringey at times, but definitely enjoyable!

When Adriana Jones receives a mysterious package containing a bracelet, she immediately puts it on. The package was meant for Dr. Andrew Jones, who needs the bracelet to unlock a secret treasure hiding in South America. When Adriana can't take the bracelet off, she's dragged to Colombia with Dr. Jones as he searches for the hidden treasure. The pair finds themselves in one dangerous situation after another, racing against the clock and another team of treasure hunters to get to the finish line first.
Recommended for fans of adventure novels who don't mind some romance added in.

Who would have thought that an Indiana Jones style romance was something I needed. This was such a fun and lighthearted read. I loved every second.
The adventure aspect immediately appealed to me and I definitely think it’s a new romance sub-genre that I will be obsessed with.
Digging Dr Jones is a refreshing new addition to romance and I’m excited to see what swoon worthy adventure Olivia Jackson takes us on next!

3.5 stars
This book follows Andrew and Adriana, who are on a quest to find ancient lost treasure after a mishap means that the bracelet needed to unlock the treasure is stuck on Adriana's wrist. This book follows the journey of them travelling Columbia in order to find the treasure. I really enjoyed the first half of this book. The relationship between Andrew and Adriana was funny, and I enjoyed how they were begrudgingly together. I enjoyed the relationship that Adriana has with her brother, who is also on the trip. I liked the adventure aspect, and the tension between them was sooo good. The last third of the book is where it lost me. There was too much spice that felt unnecessary, and there were one two many plot twists. The epilogue was cute, and I did overall enjoy this book!

ARC Book Review!
Digging Dr Jones
3.25 / 5 ⭐️
2.5 / 5 🔥
This book was definitely more focused on the relationships rather than the adventure aspects which I found made the pacing a bit slow for my preference. The slow burn/ angsty desire between the MMC and FMC hit the nail on the head though! It was soooo delectable!
All in all , a bit of a predictable read but an excellent pallet cleanser
This book is for you if you like :
Adventure romance
Forced proximity
Slow burn

4⭐️ that was so much fun!!
I desperately needed this book! It was the perfect little escape and I had the absolute best time reading it. We follow Adriana who is currently on vacation with her brother and ends up getting a package with a bracelet inside. She of course decides to put it on and that’s when Dr. Andrew Jones enters. He’s a 6’6 British professor with heterochromia and hunts for treasure on the side! There was a mix up and that bracelet was supposed to go to Andrew but it’s now not able to come off, so he offers Adriana a proposition to come with him to Columbia because that bracelet is actually a key.
This book is perfect if you’re looking for a fun romance with adventure that gives Indiana Jones vibes! I also wasn’t expecting it to be as spicy as it was wow. I had an absolute blast reading this!
Thank you Netgalley and One More Chapter for the e-arc!

Digging Dr. Jones had be in a chokehold! The chemistry between Adriana & Andrew was off the charts with spice levels to match 🌶️ Their treasure hunt was daring with a few twists & turns. William was a wonderful supporting character and added some depth to the storyline. 👏NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP 👏
I can’t wait to read more from Olivia Jackson.

Digging Dr Jones is a predictable adventure insta-love romance.
Adriana is on vacation with her brother William when she receives a random package - inside is a bracelet with gem stones. Without thinking too hard about it - Adriana puts the bracelet on her wrist... soon she's met by the gorgeous Dr. Andrew Jones who offers her money to please take the bracelet off....because it was meant for HIM not her... the bracelet won't come off and Dr. Jones offers her MORE money to come on an adventure to Colombia with him to discover some treasure that is connected to that bracelet.
This is a funny, quick and predictable read with lots of cheesy dialogue and insta-love romance. William is easily the best character and he's hilarious.
I think fans of Indiana Jones or just romance lovers in general would enjoy this one!
Thank you to HarperCollins UK/One More Chapter & NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. I look forward to reading more from Olivia Jackson.

3.5 stars
Digging Dr. Jones is a fun & easy adventure romance featuring a treasure hunt in Colombia and a hunky archaeology professor. I loved the Indiana Jones / National Treasure vibes and there were some funny moments. Andrew was a good love interest but I didn’t really connect to Adriana all that much. The romance was pretty instalove and I thought some of the dialogue was a little cringey. It was a cute read overall though with a good amount of spice, and it gets bonus points for the pretty cover.
Thank you to HarperCollins UK/One More Chapter & NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Indiana Jones meets National Treasure with a sprinkle of spice.
I had such a fun time reading this book from start to finish. I loved how strong-willed Adriana was and how tender-hearted Andrew was.
They made the perfect pair and made me feel single in the best way possible.
What a great book from a debut author!

Andrew Jones is in a mission to find the bracelet but he can't do it alone, Ariana must go along with him to find the bracelet.

Many thanks to NetGalley, Olivia Jackson and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for supplying an ARC in return for an honest review
📚 Adriana’s life is a mess, and a quiet holiday with her brother sounds like the perfect escape. But when a mysterious, gem-studded bracelet turns up without a note, curiosity gets the better of her. It looks harmless enough and no harm ever came from a pretty bit of jewellery, right?
⭐ When I got the email to say I’d been accepted to read and review Digging Dr Jones by Olivia Jackson I was absolutely ecstatic. I love all things Indiana Jones/National Treasure and I’ve never read an adventure romcom before so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
I’d like to start by saying I did enjoy this book! However I found the FMC frustrating at first. She came across as judgmental and a bit full of herself. The romance between Adriana and Andrew also felt like insta-love, and I would’ve liked a bit more of the his characters backstory.
Interestingly, I noticed a few similarities between the FMC’s mum and certain scent descriptions with those mentioned in a book by Emily Henry, but that could just be because I’d recently read it!
Overall, I thought the book was good. It was fun, exciting, and fast-paced. Some readers have said it’s a bit far-fetched, but I think it’s the same for most adventure stories in general.
If you enjoy spicy romcoms and are in the mood for something a little different, Digging Dr. Jones is a decent read!

I really enjoyed this book! I giggled at the banter, I held my breathe at the suspense and I rooted for the main characters the whole time! If you like Indiana jones and a good rom com you’ll love this book!

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collin’s/One More Chapter for this e-ARC!
This is a wonderful debut!
In this book we get forced proximity along with touch her and d!€ vibes! While it is a bit insta lovey it didn’t really deter me.
I loved Andrew and his Indiana Jones vibes, he’s one capable dude!
New bucket list item: getting it on in an abandoned historical building! 😂😂

The story of Adriana and Andrew was just fun. Adriana is on vacation with her brother to escape the fact that she’s broke and her dreams of running her own business are on the line. Andrew is an archeologist searching for a long lost treasure. When Adriana puts on a bracelet intended for Andrew, she ends up linked to his mission and becomes his unlikely travel partner.
It was slightly unhinged (in the best way!) and so unlikely, but such a fun premise that it made for a delightful, easy read.
Their chemistry was apparent right away, they had great banter, and her brother was a fun addition to the storyline.
I give it a solid 3.5 stars, rounding it up to a 4.

This was a fun romance reminiscent of national treasure meets the lost city.
They did have a miscommunication trope which I don’t love but they did get over that quickly enough to not sour the book for me.
It was ok as a read, the FMC fell a little flat for me, she was written in quite an immature way with an odd relationship with her brother (always referring to your brother as his pet name of ‘handsome’ is a little odd). It’s just a fun little romance with a treasure hunt but I was more invested in the treasure hunt than the romance.
It’s pretty cheesy but it’s a fun read.

Digging Dr. Jones is a fun and easy to read adventure romcom. A mistaken identity results in a surprise adventure to find lost pirate treasure. The search for treasure added great dimension to the story. It was so much fun to sort through the clues with them and imagine the settings they explored- jungles, ruins, churches, crypts, underground passages, and more! It would make a really good movie! There is definitely some instalove but it is well done. Some of the dialogue is a little cheesy. The spice is really hot!
Thank you One More Chapter and NetGalley for this eARC!

I can unfortunately already tell this is not the book for me. The characters feel stereotypical, the writing includes details that want to be “quirky” but read as annoying, and it doesn’t feel even a droplet realistic.
Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollins UK for the ARC.
