A wonderful read!
This novel drew me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. The characters were vibrant and relatable, the writing was engaging, and the story had just the right balance of heart and humor. Highly recommend!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

I’m a long time fan of Shari Low’s books and I’ve mentioned before how I love the way she does this type of book so well – a collection of characters and 24 hours, and it all comes together into one wonderful story.
All the characters are going through a period of great change, huge life-changing events and although we don’t know it at the start, their stories are all interwoven, culminating in the events of one tumultuous day.
I found myself flying through this book, waiting to see what would happen next. It’s really captivating reading and so hard to put down.
Beautifully flowing and perfectly paced, this is such an enjoyable and entertaining read.

I’ve read quite a few books by the author recently. Funnily enough it was after she wrote a follow up to an old book and republished the original. Since then, some of the original cast make appearances in some form of another. The last one I read had a closer overlap than this one, but I think it worked better because I had read that in the first place.
I think this definitely acts like a sequel to One Long Weekend. Although most of the happy-ever-afters ( and there are more than one) are not connected to the previous book, the emotions make more sense if we have a better understanding of some history.
It’s hard to go into individual details because we have multiple strands which may or may not converge when we expect them to. We have friends, family and work that are part of everyone’s lives. They have planes to catch but they all want to tie up loose ends.
The only thing I will mention is that with a plane to catch later in the day, the way everyone went about their business gave me second-hand anxiety. I have caught a lot of flights in the last decade but never have I even imagined undertaking unrelated activity the same day! It’s a very random emotion but one that stuck with me.
Even with my reaction aside, the author does multi-cast narratives very well. Each individual story does not feel like a version of something we have already seen in another.
I would highly recommend the author and other books in this ‘series’ to fans of the genre.
I received an ARC thanks to Netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience of this and other books by the author.

I'm beginning to very quickly fall in love with Shari Low's books.
This is my 3rd novel of Shari's I've read, and at this point I will not be stopping anytime soon! I love the characters, the plot and the little story crossovers you find from book to book.
This book made me smile, made me laugh and made me cry - finally leaving me with a warm feeling in my heart. ❤️
4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Special thanks to Netgalley for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

In this unorthodox and exciting new romance novel from Shari Low, readers meet Kara McIntyre, whose Hawaii dream wedding has been cancelled due to the recent loss of her job, home, and fiance. Kara’s best friend, TV star Ollie Chiles, has recently discovered his celebrity wife’s affair and must choose between his marriage and his friendship with Kara, while Alice Brookes discovers a letter which might give her a new purpose after a messy and scandalous end to her marriage. Zac Conlan, on his way to Dublin, was fully prepared to say goodbye to someone he loves until a new discovery might just change everything. Meeting all four characters in various airports and following along on their independent and intersecting journeys, readers will love this new release and the fascinating series of events that Low brings to life in this powerful and emotional new read. The characters are the absolute stars of this novel, and the different emotional journeys are really compelling and immersive, and the perspective shifts really give readers a chance to explore lots of different storylines in this brilliant new release. Excellently written, emotional, and enjoyable, this is a great holiday read full of charm and romance that fans of the genre will love.

Four people are planning journeys that could change their lives forever….
Kara, is supposed to be flying to her dream wedding.
Ollie, is heading home to try to save his marriage.
Alice is flying away to a new chapter after escaping an horrendous marriage.
Zac should be heading back to Dublin
When the weather delays their flights, the 4 find that storms are brewing and turbulence is about to shake their worlds
4 different points of view, from the 4 main characters told over different times of the day, help to bring together the narrative. This book will keep you engaged as the characters are all like friends who you’re invested in

One Day and Forever follows the fortunes of Kara McIntyre, Ollie Chiles, Alice Brookes and Zac Conlan over a New Year’s Day which spanned several years. Glasgow airport is a trigger for them all. They have no idea what’s in store. The way the story is written with the well crafted, realistic and intricate characters’ feelings, perspectives, hopes and dreams interwoven, and shown throughout this span of several timelines, evokes emotions which give the reader an immediate involvement with each of them. Lives are reassessed as circumstance plays its part with surprise twists and not a small amount of tension.
Kara’s life had crumbled in such a short time. Not only had she called time on the job she loved….
"It had all been perfect. A dream that was coming true, right up until… Kara tried to block the thought. The fact was that three days ago, she was gainfully employed at the Clydeside TV studio, home of The Clydeside, Scotland’s longest-running, twice weekly soap, managing their costume department, doing a job she adored. Now she was not."
Kara had also called off her dream wedding.
Ollie, Alice and Zac also have challenges, discoveries and changes to navigate through, including friendships, trust and hopes for the future, showing how a single day can alter perspectives and change lives. A trending video set Ollie on the path to a new venture. A chance meeting at a funeral gave Alice much food for thought and the opportunity to offer help to someone in need. Zac had high hopes after a unplanned but fateful meeting.
A delightful, warm and character driven story.

Rating: 4.5 Stars
Shari Low is at her addictive best with her fabulous new novel, One Day and Forever.
The stars have aligned for Kara McIntyre. She is about to jet off for her destination wedding to Hawaii – until a twist of fate leaves her without a job, a home and a fiancé! What’s Kara going to do next? She would usually turn to her best friend Ollie, but the TV presenter has got his own problems to contend with after his wife goes viral while in the company of another man who is definitely not him. With the whole world watching, Ollie finds himself having to make the most difficult choice of his life under the relentless glare of the paparazzi’s lenses: support his best friend when she needs him most or save his marriage.
Alice Brookes is determined to put the past behind her. After a far from perfect marriage and a very public scandal, Alice cannot wait to vanquish old ghosts once and for all – until she receives a letter from a stranger that has her questioning everything she had always believed to be true about her life that could upend her entire world. Zac Conlan knows all too well about how unpredictable life can be – which is why his plans to return to Dublin end up going awry when he makes a staggering discovery that could derail his whole future.
With the weather delaying their flights, Kara, Ollie, Alice and Zac need to buckle up because turbulence is coming and nothing will ever be the same for them ever again…
Shari Low is one of the brightest stars of women’s fiction writing today. From the second readers open one of her books, they are completely drawn into the lives of her characters and she has outdone herself yet again with One Day and Forever. Witty, warm-hearted and compulsively readable, One Day and Forever has got characters readers will root for, humour that tickles the funny bones and drama and emotional intensity that will have them reaching for the tissues.
A book that will keep every reader turning the pages till the early hours of the morning, One Day and Forever is vintage Shari Low.

First of all, I am a HUGE fan of Shari Low’s books. If you are having a bit of an off time, then allow Shari to take you to that place, that feels like, hot chocolate, marshmallows, cosy duvets & slippers. Although I’m not saying you can’t read them at any time lol!
This book is about 4 people who are getting flights. They all have their own stories to share with us. Loved it!

This is yet another hilarious book by Shari. I love how I instantly recognised some of the characters from other books I've previously read and how all the characters' lives intertwine with each other. Val is her usual colourful self and we have the romances that you expect to find in one of Shari's books. The thing is, what you don't expect is this ending!!!

"Dear God, it's colder than a serial killer's freezer out there"
"She might have lost everything but at least she would be well moisturised"

As a huge fan of Shari Low, I was excited to read this, and it did not disappoint! While there are many characters to keep track of, I was glad to recognise some from previous books. The story revolves around chance meetings at the airport, and each character’s journey is so compelling that it keeps you hooked. It’s cleverly written, with separate storylines weaving together in a satisfying way. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was genuinely sad when it came to an end!

Shari Low has the ability to make you devour her stories without realizing you've even started to read. Like with all her novels i flew this one and wanted more. The characters are so fabulous but also so relatable.

I enjoy Shari books.
Characters are well written and believable.
This book was set over a 24 hour period which made it fast paced and kept me turning the pages.

A tale of four people each in the midst of life altering events and how their dynamics help them to prepare for the future. The entire book takes place over 24 hours and explores the dynamics of friends and strangers. A feel good, hopeful book with big feelings.

Another cracker from Shari Low. Written in her unique story over 24h style, this is a fabulous story. Brilliant characters (including some old favourites), second chances and a bit of a mystery to uncover. Perfect.

If you have seen any of my other reviews of Shari Low’s books you will know that I am an avid fan and have loved every single one of them. I cannot sing her praises enough and think part of the reason is that the Glasgow connection.
Following the format favoured by Shari Low in most of her books, this story takes place over a 24 hour period and centres on 4 main characters - Kara, Ollie, Zac and Alice. All of whom are planning a journey which could change the course of their lives forever.
This is another fantastic book which I was immersed in from the very first page. In this book, we meet a whole host of new characters as well as a few firm favourites from other books. Highly recommended.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced read copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I'm no stranger to Shari Low's books, and I have come to really enjoy the format and writing style. It's been great to experience her development as a writer. The book focuses on 4 main characters and plays out over the course of a 24-hour period. It's set in Glasgow and covers a whole range of themes, including betrayal, domestic violence, infidelity, bereavement, secrets, career development, friendship, family, and connection. The themes of friendship are strong between Alice and Val and Kara and Ollie. I feel that everyone needs a friend like Val, although I would not want to get on her wrong side. Alice's story is heartbreaking but also full of hope. I really enjoyed the development of the stories, finding out about the characters, and working out how they may be connected. It's definitely a feel-good book with the right amount of tension and good pacing. It's packed with detail and makes you think. The ending was perfect; another success from Shari!

Very enjoyable page turner as is usual for Shari's books. Nice to see familiar characters and read how their story picks up pace. She's so great at stringing it all together.

I love books by Shari Low. She has an incredible talent for creating extremely interesting stories with incredibly relatable characters and One Day and Forever is no exception. This book kept me reading far too late at night as I just had to keep reading! Thanks #NetGalley #BoldwoodBooks

Okay, I'm becoming rather obsessed with Shari Low's books.
Especially her 'One Day' books, where events of several different characters all take place over one day, and their stories link together.
This is a standalone, but some of the characters from other books make an appearance, and I would definitely recommend the previous books too, because they are fabulous.
The One Day books for me are usually read in a day, so it's perfectly apt.
Shari Low always writes characters that I instantly care about, readers will be immediately invested in their lives. The plot is very fast and I couldn't put it down.
Another fabulous read.
