The illustrations are BEAUTIFUL!! It would be such a fascinating picture book for toddlers. I know my little one would be mesmerized by the colors and scenes and the foxes!

The story itself could be edited a bit. I couldn’t quite follow if this was meant to be prose or poetry. While the concept of the book was super intriguing, I couldn’t quite understand the execution. Having said that, I think this is still a pretty good bedtime picture book!

Thank you to NetGalley and Tundra Book Group for sending me an ebook for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

This is such a great bedtime story! I know my daughters would love this book so much! I cannot wait to read it to them.
The illustrations are beautiful and the words on the pages are not overwhelming.
I think this would be very popular in the library and it talks about the different seasons and what they look like where they live.
Very cute fun book!

I like how the story unfolds with the child telling of his observations of lights in his surroundings—the darkening sky, lightning, streetlights, shimmering puddles, glistening streets—the vivid descriptions make me picture how lights shine in so many ways.

This book covers the four seasons from spring to winter, and how lights and night are intertwined.

Thank you to Tundra Books for the ARC on NetGally, in exchange for an honest review.

Lights a Night is about all the light you'd encounter at night. I love how the book talks about the lights throughout an entire year. Each season and holidays are represented in beautifully illustrations. Any kind of light you can think of from a flashlight, fireworks, northern lights, football stadium lights, etc. My favorite part is there is a family of foxes seen in the background throughout the whole story. The foxes are finally seen in the headlights of this family and acknowledged.

This is a great bedtime story for children. It is also very interactive book. You can have you children talk about the different kinds of lights they see while on the road or from your backyard.

~Thank you NetGalley for providing an ARC.

This is a look at a year and the lights that are seen in the night. Anything from headlights to porch lights to even the glow of the eyes of animals at night. What really sets this book apart is the illustrations. They’re colorful, but they’re also soft and nostalgic and have a dreamlike quality that is perfect to read right before bed.

A sweet early grade picture book that explores sources of light experienced throughout all seasons of the year.. The illustrations beautifully align with the text, providing multiple opportunities for children to notice the light sources and reflections. This story would be a welcome addition in libraries, as a bedtime story, as well as in elementary classroom instruction.

Thank you to Tundra Books, Tasha Hilderman, and NetGalley for this advanced copy.

Thank you NetGalley, Tundra Books, and Tasha Hilderman for the early access copy of Lights at Night.

Lights at night is a stunningly illustrated story that shows the journey of two families experiences throughout a year. One human family and one fox family.

Lights at Night is a delightful bedtime story that will also be a lovely tool in schools to show light sources and the seasons.
